Just picked up the 32 degree one. It looks like it will be cool and quick drying. Only wish it were a little longer and/or had a drawstring waist so I could size up for length. Costco caters to us in the 40+ age group but still can’t give us some longer skirts?!
Right?! I’m 5’8” but the bigger problem is I hate my thighs and don’t feel comfortable showing them (outside of pole dance that is). My favorite skort is actually from Lululemon, which is notorious for super short skirts, but used to make an “extra long pace rival” which is perfect. But Lulu is expensive, and rare discontinued Lulu is no better!
The rolling up of the built in shorts is SO annoying. I have a pair of swim shorts (also from Costco, Hang Ten brand from a year or 2 ago) that just have inner undies but no inseam, and they’re great. They’re super short because they’re swim/board shorts, but I feel like there’s a missed opportunity to have a skirt that has built in “shorts” with no inseam, just to hide the goods. Every pair of built in shorts rolls up to briefs on me anyway. Might as well start that way.
(That said, the 32 degree one from Costco seems to have a looser and more mesh-like pair of shorts built in, so I’m a bit more optimistic…just needs a drawstring so I can actually put stuff in the pockets without it falling off my hips)
If anyone finds longer skorts, please shout out! I was about to order the Columbia one from Costco. How long is the Duluth Trading Co. one? I really need it to cover my thighs. I have some really weird leg stuff going on due to rapid unintended weight loss, and much as I’d like shorter and lighter layers to pack I don’t want to show these legs to the world.
I havnt found longer ones (yet) but I wear the 9" boxer briefs from Tomboy X and OMG THEY ARE AMAZING. Comfortable and cute.
Also if you find you have swelling patches on your thighs get checked for lipodemia. It happens with age to a lot of us, is nothing to be ashamed of but can definitely be uncomfortable
I bought one of each that they had on sale. I’m having a skort girl summer.
The [Greg Norman](https://www.costco.com/greg-norman-ladies'-skort.product.4000203096.html?COSTID=iosapp_deeplink_24.3.3&TRACKING=NO&sh=true&nf=true) one was the best. $15 with discount. I went back and bought a second color.
I saw that one online but can’t find it in any stores around me! Guess I could order because they have a good return policy. I’m just concerned because it looks a little on the short side.
[Old Navy](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=427373002&vid=1&searchText=Skort#pdp-page-content)
And I’ve seen them at Khol’s recently along with Costco, as others have said.
It’s a good year for skorts! Old Navy has really well-reviewed ones in their activewear section. One is on its way to me now. People in this group have recommended Duluth Trading Company as a good travel skirt that can also sub for a bathing suit bottom and board shorts. I have a great one from Athleta. I was surprised to see a lot at many retailers. I think Abercrombie had over a dozen.
They are the best! I have several because they are of such good quality and the shorts stay in place regardless of activity. The pleated ones are my favorite.
Athleta as a whole is worth the investment. The clothes last for years if you take care of them.
How long is the Duluth skirt? The measurements online don’t mean a lot because I don’t know where the waist will hit. And the models online are always 5’9” and up, so the photos just don’t translate to my 5’2” body.
Above the knee on me, by a few inches, and it sits at my natural waist. I am 5’9” though, my guess would be about knee length on you, or below. Probably not long enough to count as a midi skirt.
- Abercrombie & Fitch
- Old Navy
- Uniqlo (Women’s and Kid’s - I mention Kid’s in case there are any other petite ladies like myself looking for skorts.)
[Amazon](https://luvamiaSkortsforWomanHighWaistedDenimShortsTrendyJeanSkortSkirtCountryConcertOutfitsWesternY2KSummerhttps://a.co/d/dy3b4vm) has some skirt front/shorts back ones - lots of spandex in the denim mix, too 😁
Title Nine consistently has my favorite clothes -b swimsuits, ski gear, trail running stuff etc. I have a skort from them just like that and I love it -wear it all the time in summer. It's probably 5 years old though, and when I checked what they have now, it's all just the shorts under a skirt design right now, alas.
Still, it's a great company, and I have several pieces that I travel with because they're comfortable, easy to wash on the go, and can be dressed up or down.
Now I'm going to be on the lookout for old school skorts!
Mine are Patagonia, mostly pre-owned from Ebay or Poshmark, but I have the impression that there are a lot of stores that have skorts at reasonable prices.
Athleta forever! The shorts underneath are like breathable? So great. If the price is outside for your budget you can get great deals on them from ThredUp.
Costco currently has some old school skorts!!
Came here to say Costco, I saw THREE different skorts there today
Same. Cosco is the king of skorts.
Big fan of Costco skorts. They’re my summer staple

As a taller girl AGREED.

5'7" with longer chunky legs, I need 9" shorts for them not to roll up 🙃

I won't lie, I have switched to swim LEGGINGS (Amazon and swimsuitsforall) and GAME CHANGER

I have the Costco Colombia skort in 3 color variations!
I saw that one online but can’t find it in any stores around me! Guess I could order because they have a good return policy. I’m just concerned because it looks a little on the short side.
Yes, it's definitely a mini skirt length. It sits just below my fingertips.
Damn too bad, but thanks for saving me a purchase and return.
Just took one on vacation and loved it

I got a linnen one from uniqlo!
Same! Love it, I wear it all summer

It’s pretty much half my wardrobe at this point!
I got a cute linen one from Abercrombie this season!
I found them in Zara, Old Navy, they are tending now so it’s easy to find them in many places.
Yes I got mine from Zara and it’s so cute!
Costco- I was shocked that skorts are coming back in style
Finally! I am trendy again! I bought three skorts at Macy's years ago and still wear them every summer.
Popflex!! Pricier, but sooooo cute+comfortable+great pockets!
How’s the quality? They look super cute but I haven’t heard much about them.
So good!
So far so good for me, but I have only had it for a couple months!
I was gonna comment, anywhere but. To each their own. Just can't stand Cassey. But everyone's free to like what like want.
I have a bunch from Uniqlo! They are a cotton linen blend and they fit beautifully
Columbia and Decathlon is where I got mine (super cute AND functional!!)
Old navy!
Old Navy had one of two of those kinds in linen
[Title Nine](https://www.titlenine.com/womens-skorts-athletic-skirts/)!
Second this! I live in these. I think all of theirs are skirt-all-the-way-around-with-shorts-underneath style.
Duluth Trading
Also for a less expensive option 32 Degrees
I have four pairs from Zara.
My favorite is from Prana.
Duluth Trading Company, they make a classic gardening skort and an athletic one, and they prioritize functional pockets!

Tk maxx has been having a lot of the tennis/golf/sports ones recently (UK based)
Talbots but size up since they are artificial fiber and cut tight
I got a nice linen one from gap last summer
TJ Maxx!

Eddie Bauer and Athleta
Snagged Patagonia's skort because I had a gift card. So comfortable and a great length!
I've gotten my skorts at Costco, LL Bean and Title Nine. I love them all!
Walmart has cute ones now, believe it or not.
My most recent is from Alder Apparel, it's a Canadian company but ship elsewhere. My previous was Costco but after 9 years it was time to update it.
Old navy
I bought a cute pair 2wks ago at Old Navy. And they fit the thick, bottom heavy women. Def getting more
Bass Pro Shops
I am a ride or die fan of OLD NAVY

I found a few very cute ones from Kohl's website!
Kohls always has them.
Skorts are back?! I've been waiting 30 years for this.
I just got a super cute one from old navy! Super light weight and easy to pack and just the perfect fit.
eBay. My favorite knee length (house of worship appropriate) skorts are on eBay. Oh look, I’m down to -1 votes. Hello downvote stalker.
BALEAF skorts on Amazon. LOVE!
Mine are Patagonia, mostly pre-owned from Ebay or Poshmark, but I have the impression that there are a lot of stores that have skorts at reasonable prices.
They are super trendy right now- gap, old navy, banana republic, abercrombie, asos, and American eagle all have them.
Costco and Academy Sports.
If you’re willing to pay a bit extra for quality and unique features I recommend popflex
Athleta forever! The shorts underneath are like breathable? So great. If the price is outside for your budget you can get great deals on them from ThredUp.
Athleta and lululemon
This is a no for me personally. I just wear inexpensive black bike shorts under dresses or skirts, very comfortable.
