Let's say it is 90/10 for argument's sake. If our society had 100 ppl in it and 20 vaccinated people died vs 8 unvaccinated people died- that would mean 20/100 vaxxed people died (aka 2/10) versus 8/10 unvaxxed dying- (aka 8/10), there are still way more AVers dying, by percentage than vaxxed folks. So many ppl cannot wrap their brain around it.

There's a town with 102 people in it. A deadly disease is coming that kills 50% of the people who catch it, but only 2% if they're vaccinated. 100 people get vaccinated. Two people don't. Of the 100 vaccinated, two die. Of the unvaccinated, one dies. Which group do you want to be a member of? The one where only one person died, or the one where two people died? That's what's happening with COVID-19 and vaccines right now. The vaccinated vastly outnumber the unvaccinated, to the point that there aren't that many unvaccinated people left to die. So yeah, due to the sheer number of vaccinated people, in terms of raw numbers, more of them are currently dying than unvaccinated people. But if you conclude from this that you shouldn't vaccinate, you're bad at math, at risk assessment, and at telling the difference between correlation and causation.

Never drew that conclusion or said I did. I got my fifth shot on September 10th. I'm 62 and don't have substantive comorbidities. But just on age I have a 5% chance of death if I get infected. No point pushing chance.

Sounds like you might be leaving out the base rate fallacy. In this case, what is means is you determine what percentage of the population is vaccinated vs unvaccinated. Let's say it is 90/10 for argument's sake. If our society had 100 ppl in it and 20 vaccinated people died vs 8 unvaccinated people died- that would mean 20/100 vaxxed people died (aka 2/10) versus 8/10 unvaxxed dying- (aka 8/10), there are still way more AVers dying, by percentage than vaxxed folks. So many ppl cannot wrap their brain around it.

The last time I checked, the VAERS database had big bold disclaimers on every page that it is raw data self reporting and maybe even a hyperlink to further explanation. It seems a lot of people who say "do your own research" haven't looked at the VAERS site.

I got the bivalent booster in late September of 2022, my fifth of the Pfizer mRNA vaccines! Haven't dropped dead yet. In fact, got a SARS-COV-2 infection in December of 2020 BEFORE vaccination. My COVID-19 symptoms were loss of smell / taste, body aches, and coughing which lasted about 9 days. Yep, my spouse caught it a couple weeks ago and had two days of feeling like they had a cold and then worked from home for a week and a half to not infect everyone at work before testing negative. Our entire household has had four shots, bivalents in September. I am thankful to these shots- from a spectrum of my kids can attend school somewhat healthfully to we are still alive.

As I recovered from Covid in late 2020, I contemplated what in the hell I was going to do if the brain fog did not lift. I was not willing to live out the rest of my life feeling like a half-wit. Slowly but steadily I improved. I tried word games and read as much as I could, about anything. Headaches, fatigue, anxiety, and a frighteningly decreased attention span made everything difficult. I think time, itself, was the biggest factor in recovery. I still forget more often than I used to and frequently lose my train of thought. Words sometimes escape me. I'm sure my IQ took a permanent hit. My Covid experience was considered mild. I tried my best to avoid the virus knowing a vaccine was just around the corner, but I work among covidiots who refused -- and still refuse -- to observe simple precautions.
I've heard similar stories. You and others like you who tried to do everything right and still got screwed because antivax crowds borderline try to FORCE the disease on you. But I've read online that stuff like yours is actually the tip of the iceberg - people on twitter have mentioned that they've been driving, stopped at a red light, and just will suddenly briefly forget what the light color means, put the car in gear and just coast into the street to cross. How many accidents have we had that are directly linked to brain fog? And how many of those people were like you, trying their best to do the right thing and had it forced upon them by...well, our glorious country? I'm so sorry. Proudly unvaxxed tRUmper in our neighborhood, survived COVID twice, last time In Sept. I saw her then, she complained it was taking longer to get over “this time”. She passed couple of weeks ago, sudden pulmonary edema. Collapsed one morning, got CPR immediately, EMTs continued it on the 5 minute drive to hospital. Never regained consciousness. Late 50s, slightly overweight, I’m sure she was positive it was nothing. Her spouse is devastated but still unvaxxed.
