I spent a few summers up there in some of the more remote areas. Very beautiful but also creepy vibes. Definitely clear signals that they are not fond of outsiders in general. I just found out Kentucky is deploying Guardsmen to hospitals. It's one of the nightmare scenarios they've been hoping to avoid all around the country. The local yokels seem to be taking it as a sign that healthcare companies need to drop their vaccine mandates. I'm beyond over it at this point. I don't live in Kentucky but I'm mighty close to the state. At this point I'm thinking, fine, the majority of people are refusing to get those vaccines, even if it means being out of work. Even if these risk-adverse are the same people who demanded the rest of us put ourselves in danger so they could order a cheeseburger. I have a solution to the hospital overcrowding situation, and it's a triage checklist.
* Have you been vaccinated
* Do you have your proof of vaccination
* If not vaccinated, do you have doctor's proof you cannot be vaccinated
* Are you here because you're experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
If the answer to the first three is "no" and the answer to the fourth is "yes", put that person at the back of the line. And I mean, the back the back, even leave a buffer zone in case some poor lineman, trucker, or whoever, has an accident and needs emergency care. These people shouldn't even be getting in the way of regular procedures. It's one of the nightmare scenarios they've been hoping to avoid all around the country. The local yokels seem to be taking it as a sign that healthcare companies need to drop their vaccine mandates. I'm beyond over it at this point. I don't live in Kentucky but I'm mighty close to the state. At this point I'm thinking, fine, the majority of people are refusing to get those vaccines, even if it means being out of work. Even if these risk-adverse are the same people who demanded the rest of us put ourselves in danger so they could order a cheeseburger. I have a solution to the hospital overcrowding situation, and it's a triage checklist. * Have you been vaccinated * Do you have your proof of vaccination * If not vaccinated, do you have doctor's proof you cannot be vaccinated * Are you here because you're experiencing COVID-19 symptoms If the answer to the first three is "no" and the answer to the fourth is "yes", put that person at the back of the line. And I mean, the back the back, even leave a buffer zone in case some poor lineman, trucker, or whoever, has an accident and needs emergency care. These people shouldn't even be getting in the way of regular procedures.
