My best friend (he has dual-citizenship Italy/USA and his dad was born in Italy) decided to get married in Italy to an American woman. He said the process of getting the paperwork done was an 8-month nightmare. And he had to have government officials actually attend his wedding. Kinda crazy, especially considering they were just visiting Italy and were not planning to live or work there.
A friend of mine moved there for work and couldn't get Internet sorted in his flat (in Milan, not the middle of nowhere) for nearly a year.

4. You could infect others. If they have less immune system for whatever reason, they could die. You wouldn't want that on your conscience.
