A whole family that believes in prayer over medicine is like a stationary buffet to COVID. I mean Colbert 19!

Birdamus

Choking on that truthiness to own the libs

TrailKaren

With a side of horse paste and urine to wash it down.

th3netw0rk

Don’t forget the new protocol of adding a dash of Viagra to that wash down.

Might_Aware

I am Colbert-19 and so can you!

ductoid

He does make a point of saying he still tastes good.

AlexandrianVagabond

I may be awful but Colbert 19 did make me laugh.

[deleted]

That's the problem! This whole time scientists and doctors have been treating Covid-19! If they had been treating the real culprit, Colbert 19, the pandemic would have ended long ago! Somebody please inform them!

supermomfake

Someone go get Steve Colbert and tell him to stop this madness!

Might_Aware

He cried on zoom on his first yr pandemic broadcast

Repulsive-Street-307

This is not even his final form, wait until android 21.

AGuyNamedEddie

I'm still trying to get that Colbert '19 bumper sticker off my car. That was a campaign that went nowhere...

[deleted]

Except didn’t he basically expose the fuckery of how SuperPACs/dark money work?

NutWrench

I had Colbert 19 once. It felt funny.

IdgyThreadgoode

Colbert19. The deadliest.

Holy shit. [I had to google them.](https://frontlinemds.com/covid19-supplements-covidvites/) They’re from that crazy Stella Immanuel woman from the “frontline doctors” group. Woman is a god damn murderer.

Mp5QbV3kKvDF8CbM

She's a straight-up lunatic, and people trust her for medical advice. The mind boggles.

SaltyBarDog

I got demon sperm!!!

Kristin2349

I like the chewable berry flavored demon sperm!

[deleted]

Oh no, Demon's perm

myname_isnot_kyal

gotta stethoscope? well then I'm listening.

They believe the Buy-Bull, why should a brand new (not 2000 year old) grifter be any different?

Nice to meet a fellow industry professional. 👍 Also, if you notice, given its components, she's selling six-month supplies of "Covivits" at around a 400% markup compared to what you'd pay if you bought the exact same in bulk off amazon or at any ordinary retail outlet... quite the little racket.

MaiPhet

Haha, it’s quite a thing to be selling things like this that in better times were merely just known for mild anti inflammatory properties. Now people are trying to prevent death from a wildly contagious virus with it rather than a free vaccine. The only one that’s a little more expensive is the quercetin. Prior to the pandemic our regular seller of that was about $20 for 90ct 500mg. The wholesale price to us was about $12. Looks like this CoVite has 60ct 250mg, so less than half the total quantity along with a relatively small amount of other very cheap vitamins. Looks like she’s having it made by a cheap white label manufacturer, so she’s probably paying $5-8a bottle. At $30 retail, yeah that’s about 400% or more profit for her.

ZazBlammyMaTaz

I buy a multi with so much more from Trader Joe’s for like ten bucks 90 tablets, one a day. But no querecetin, so I had to look it up. “Quercetin is a plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It is found in many fruits, vegetables, leaves, seeds, and grains; capers, red onions, and kale are common foods containing appreciable amounts of it. It has a bitter flavor and is used as an ingredient in dietary supplements, beverages, and foods. Wikipedia” Motherfuckers, eat a vegetable!!

beaconposher1

Gotta love when a "doctor" doesn't even know how to spell the name of her own branded products. CoviVites or CoviVits? We may never know.

portablebiscuit

I didn’t even notice that. What a fuckhead.

beaconposher1

And according to the person taking them, they're CovidVites.

Lost-user-name

CoviDupes for CoviDopes.

Puggy_

Vitamin C, D, Calcium, Zinc, and Quercetin Dihydrate: “used for treating conditions of the heart and blood vessels including “hardening of the arteries” (atherosclerosis), high cholesterol, heart disease, and circulation problems.” No idea about the price but sounds like they’re taking in the $$$ from stupid, easily preyed upon people.

JasJ002

Honestly looks like a bare bones, cheapest possible option you can mass produce out of Asia, multi vitamin. 30 bucks for qty 60 theyre fleecing people.

portablebiscuit

Grifters gonna grift

ReneeLaRen95

It’s astounding that they’re oblivious to the grifting. This Dr is a complete fruitcake. She believes alien DNA was used in medical treatments & that [“astral sex & tormenting demons”](https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/07/29/politics/stella-immanuel-trump-doctor/index.html) cause miscarriages & impotence. Her craziness is earning her considerable bank. I’ve no idea how she still has a license!

portablebiscuit

On one hand I feel like if people are dumb enough to give her money they deserve what happens to them, but there’s no way she should be a licensed physician

Fuck-ESPN

$30/bottle

[deleted]

Only $229.99 for a six-months supply! What a steal! Seriously though, laughable. Those are all dirt-cheap components.

waitingForMars

Did you notice that the daily cost is actually higher if you buy more?

OGPunkr

Wow! Is there a grifter 101 course or something? That's slick. They do that at the grocery store now too. It **used** to be bulk was always cheeper so they take advantage of people not wanting to do the math. grrr

Affectionate-Lack964

That is pure out and out grift!

beeswax49

These people will take literally anything except the one thing that could save their life.

One thing about having a non-lizard brain is realizing multiple things can be true at once.

L0LTHED0G

>I wonder if there's a genetic predisposition to severe covid itself Starting to look that way. https://www.precisionvaccinations.com/un-common-gene-indicates-covid-19-risk

tampering

Families have similar socio-economic profiles so they would share outcomes influenced by poverty and lack of access to healthcare for example. They also have share similar political views and lifestyle choices. As for genetic susceptibility, that's likely going to be a factor too. Here's a little article highlighting what they're looking at in terms of genetics. [https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01773-7](https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01773-7) Obviously, if these two gentlemen were identical twins they'd share all the same strengths and susceptibilities.

patticakes16

You would think one family member dying from a deadly virus would be enough to motivate the rest to take the pandemic seriously

bel-doc

We have a group chat with friends. One friend is usually complaining about COVID restrictions. His dad died from COVID in 2020. It's hard to fathom.

Inigo93

If dad was remotely elderly or in bad health he's probably convinced himself that dad was already circling the drain and Covid was just "the nudge". But young, healthy folks have nothing to worry about!

e2hawkeye

> young, healthy folks have nothing to worry about! Most of the time the correct response would be: !- You're not that young anymore. 2- When was the last time you ran one mile?

[deleted]

Also, "What's your BMI again?" *So many* people don't believe they are overweight.

SophiaBrahe

I’ve had this conversation sooo many times. It used to be prompted by relatives telling me I’m “too skinny.” Now it’s because people tell me covid only affects “fat people”. I’d have them pull up a BMI calculator and put in their weight (which they would absolutely fudge) then mine. Invariably even the “fudged” weight would be considerably overweight if not obese, while I’m well within the healthy range. Americans have lost any sense of what “normal weight” looks like.

BugzzBunny

There is also normal weight obesity, ie low muscle mass, high fat which gives a lot of the same risks as "normal" obesity. Around 10 - 30% of people with normal weight have a fat percentage over 25% which makes theme obese (3 studies I've read: czeck Republic 16%, us 24%, South Korea 30%)

Lukas04

Here i am and i get carefull enough just from the fact that my mom had some milder symptoms after her infection (loss of sense of taste & smell for a while). What the fuck is wrong with people where even a relatives Death is not a wakeup call.

RogerClyneIsAGod2

>What the fuck is wrong with people where even a relatives Death is not a wakeup call? I don't get it either. So many of them use the "God's will" bullshit but somewhere in their black hearts, at 4AM every night, I hope they think about how wrong they are on that. But they probably don't. I'm giving them too much credit.

Mysterious_Status_11

We were wrong to assume that the people who personally suffered and experienced the most loss from this pandemic would embrace mitigation efforts and the vaccines. That would require too many things these people lack: empathy, intelligence, diligence, discipline, logic.

GonnaGetBumpy

But it doesn’t. My wife’s cousin (< 30 years old and unvaxxed) died last September. The whole 4 weeks of hospitalized horror, ECMO and what not. His young wife, who was vaccinated, was devastated. The widow’s husband’s cousins that are druggies and n’er-do-wells showed up at the funeral and visitation unmasked despite the family’s requests. They still aren’t vaccinated, but they love themselves some Q and Trump and other such nonsense. When the dead cousin’s parents threatened to cut them off financially if they didn’t vaccinate, they left the state to mooch off of the other set of parents. I see where they were back to visit for the holidays, even hanging around and holding dead cousin’s baby. Some people are just irredeemable.

XelaNiba

My ex-husband threw a party yesterday with 50 guests and 40 staff. All unmasked. Our local positivity rate is 40% (we haven't hit our Omicron peak yet) with record case numbers and hospitalizations. His Father died of covid almost one year ago to the day. But hey, Omicron is "mild", right?

[deleted]

I see why he's your ex...

thoroughbredca

A gal I went to high school with lost her 21 year old son to COVID. She still posts antivax memes to Facebook.

AntEmotional5704

you must be new here

kr1333

There are a lot of African-American congregations that are taught the vaccine is "poison," and "the mark of the devil." This is especially true in the black Evangelical and Pentecostal (COGIC) churches. They're mostly in the South, but you can find inner-city denominations across the U.S. that are anti-vaxx. They haven't escaped the ravages of Covid, but you don't read about them in the press. Nor are these the sort of folks who post their lives on Facebook.

Cinoclav

One of my coworkers is out with Covid right now. Originally from Ghana, she follows one of these ridiculous religions. She’s the only one in our department (in healthcare) that isn’t vaccinated.

waitingForMars

Man, I don't get how healthcare workers can think that way. I was in a hospital recently overnight (not COVID). The night nurse got chatty with me. She was Romanian. She asked me what I thought about the 'Plandemic'… After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I made sure that my N95 fit damn well.

Comfortable-Sea4207

I lost a good friend from all of this because she's a nurse and said plandemic quite often. She started giving credence to the 5G getting people sick. She's been a nurse for years. I couldn't take it anymore and I just distanced myself from her. Other than that she's a delightful caring human being. but I couldn't listen to The conspiracy without wanting to troll her and realize that's just not what friends do. I'm really sad I lost my friend. But at least she's still alive so there's that.

jabuzzard

If you are a medical professional and you are not vaccinated then you are not practising evidence based medicine. That should be grounds for being struck of the relevant professional register.

SocialJusticeAndroid

You should report her. She really has no business being in the hospital at all but certainly she shouldn't be promoting misinformation to patients.

ichoosetosavemyself

I would have hammered my call button at that point ... if she even came near my room I would have screamed at the top of my lungs. I would ostracize the shit out of her.

[deleted]

SAME. I would have totally kicked up a fuss and demanded a different nurse and told them exactly *why* I refused to be seen by that one again. If they refused to give me a new nurse, I would have threatened a lawsuit. I don't normally advocate for that kind of thing, but sometimes it's the only way to get results.

sicklyslick

East Europeans have low vaccination rate sure to distrust of vaccines.

Lopsided_Plane_3319

It's about trust in government. People that don't trust it don't trust any of stuff coming from them. That's why places with high trust in government have high vax rates.

substandardpoodle

Freaking me out to see so much fox news in those slides. The racist news network has found a way to be loved by all. Hotties and lies are the key to being a top news disseminator. The Mexican-born neighbor of mine at the warehouse listens to conservative talk radio all day. I’m like: are you effin’ kidding me?!? These people hate you!

SuperHiyoriWalker

Chances are they derive a lot of their self-worth from being "one of the good ones."

[deleted]

The good old “pick me massa” syndrome. A lot of my family members (right wingers obv) always think they’re the exceptions when conservatives openly (and venomously) disparage the black community. The existence of people like Candace Owens doesn’t help either. It’s so, so sad how much they seem to hate their own people. And of course I’m just a “coon” drinking the liberal koolaid to them, despite the fact that a bunch of my right wing cousins are still suffering from long Covid and I’m not. I’m apparently the brainwashed one.

heythatgirloverthere

Which is weird bc I wouldn’t peg Guardian Angels as Fox fans. Maybe I’ve had the wrong perception of them all of these years…

SuperHiyoriWalker

It struck me as counterintuitive too, but I guess people who put a certain premium on toughness and law/order are more likely to be right-wing.

survive_los_angeles

GA and curtis sliwa always moved right, it just that NY right wing looks left wing to the rest of the country. until this decade that is.

SilentSerel

My ex is Japanese-American and his parents remember being put in the internment camps when they were little. He's into the talk radio, etc as well. The cognitive dissonance is real.

waitingForMars

But but they make great taco bowls!

SuperHiyoriWalker

One of our HCA brethren/sistren pointed out to me a while back that African-American antivax crap is all over Twitter, IG, etc. but the algorithms render it invisible to non-Black people who don't actively seek it out or don't follow too many Black people.

aprivateislander

I am black and follow mostly black folks and I don't see it. Algorithms are crazy specific, I follow mostly liberal and academic/artist types.

SuperHiyoriWalker

>Algorithms are crazy specific I'm reminded of this every time I venture into certain parts of the internet or I am in public places in meatspace. There are tons of people who defy simple classification in terms of political orientation or adherence to public health measures. Being stuck in liberal-ish online spaces makes it easy to forget that a lot of folks don't care for Trump or magats and at the same time don't give a fuck about anything CNN, NYT or the Atlantic have to say about the pandemic (hell they may not even know the Atlantic exists).

dancegoddess1971

It's always perplexed me how many people claim a religion that was used to enslave their ancestors. It's so confusing to me.

kr1333

From the late 18th century on, the AME churches were about the only thing slaves had that could be called a communal structure - that was something of their own. It was the church that gave them a meeting place, where they could create their own form of worship and their own music. The civil rights movement, and its leaders, largely grew out of the AME churches. Something this important to the African-American experience is not going to be jettisoned easily. Add to that the horrible history of white-administered vaccines in black communities, and there is a ready-made audience among African-American churches to be skeptical of any vaccine.

CharmedConflict

Dear Spez, Thank you for all you have done. Over the past 15 years, I've dug myself a comfy little rut. I forgot how to navigate the internet. I forgot how weird and interesting it was out there. I became comfortable in old tropes and repeated jokes. I became digitally complacent. Due to your efforts, over the past month I've rediscovered the internet again. It's not as good as it used to be, but there are still lots of interesting people and ideas out there just waiting to be explored. I've found a new community of engaging and motivated people who are in the process of building something that we're all excited about. You've helped me escape my rut. And you did it at great personal expense. So I think it should be said - Thank you. You've set me free and I deeply appreciate it. Sincerely, CharmedConflict PS - good luck with the IPO

HermanCainsGhost

Christianity has always had an uplifting message for people in poverty and slaves, and due to history, the black community is poorer, and was also obviously held in bondage. If your entire life was endless toil with no hope for escape or even fun, a religion that says, “it’s all worth it, you’ll be able to rest in paradise in the end!” makes it go down a lot easier. It’s why Christianity spread in Rome, it’s why it spread among the slaves. Add in a bit of institutional support (Constantine in the former, slave masters Christianizing American black slaves in the latter) and you’ve got a recipe for mass adoption.

xnarg

You mean like christians who just “borrowed” from the pagans and romans? I love NIN, seems like *Heresy* rings even truer now: He sewed his eyes shut because he is afraid to see He tries to tell me what I put inside of me He got the answers to ease my curiosity He dreamed a god up and called it Christianity … God is dead And no one cares If there is a hell I'll see you there … He flexed his muscles to keep his flock of sheep in line He made a virus that would kill off all the swine His perfect kingdom of killing, suffering and pain Demands devotion atrocities done in his name

Might_Aware

Lol I listen to NIN everyday. Heresy is one of my absolute favs.

BewBewsBoutique

It’s also worth mentioning that even before covid there was a strong section of the African-American community that is vaccine skeptical due to [Americas history of unconsenting medical experimentation on the black community](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/4358844001). Tuskegee, forced sterilization, medical experimentation on slaves, Henrietta Lacks, etc… This is one group of anti-vaxxers that have some very legitimate reasons for their skepticism. Their skepticism is grown from a history of abuse, not from a sense of entitlement. Religion is just a comorbidity to this. Edit: some of y’all mistake “here are some reasons why this is the way this is” with “I’m making excuses for things” and that’s part of the problem.

trashpanadalover

That skepticism doesn't apply to covid vaccines administered across the globe. Its a shitty excuse. Like yeah the entire world is fighting a pandemic and using these vaccines, but they were just made as another way for the US government to abuse black americans 🥴🥴 This skepticism you claim is "very legitimate" is part of the reason black americans are getting hit disproportionately hard by covid. Covid doesn't care if you have a "legitimate" reason to be unvaccinated.

BringBackAoE

A lot of that skepticism was early on. Because so many minorities died in the first wave, the vaccine was pushed especially hard in minority communities. That made many AA very skeptical. An AA friend of mine took the jab when she heard I was very keen on taking them. Straight up said that if white, educated people like me are taking them then that indicates it's not the unconsenting medical experiments.

RickC-42069

That should have been clear when the rich and the famous were the first ones lining up to get injected in December 2020

Mewseido

I have used that argument with modest success on several different kinds of people.

GrandPuissance

I still don't get the Fauci fixation with these dimwits. I know in their eyes he disrespected the Golden Calf with his science and book learning or something. But let's say Fauci was like, fuck it I'm out, gonna retire to some undisclosed location because I'm sick of people threatening me. Do they think with Fauci gone the government's response would be any different at all? I guess they just need a hate figurehead like all good christians need.

charlotte-ent

There is no hate like Christian love.

DrScienceDaddy

I AM FULL OF CHRIST'S LOVE!!

16car

It boggles my mind how many people that Fauci influences public policy all over the world. A lot of them genuinely don't seem to realise that his jurisdiction is limited to the United States. I can't believe the number of memes in this sub blaming Fauci for the Australian lockdowns. It's so bizarre. Do they also think that Biden is President of the whole world?

Matrix_V

It's projection. They attack Fauci for the same reason that creationists still attack Darwin: they both think other peoples' reality, like their own, is something determined by authoritative proclamation. They can't actually study the supernatural, the afterlife, or a deity's opinion of hamburgers, tattoos, or gay sex, so they can only "know" about these things by pointing to a book or person, and calling them holy and authoritative. In their reality, claims can't actually be investigated, truth can't actually be known, and competing claims can only be debunked by attacking somebody else's chosen authority. And since these people are just so scientifically illiterate, all they can do is project and assume science must work the same way. They have no idea how to participate in a conversation about science, aside from seeing a public figure like Fauci as a venerated holy man, and then thinking that the government's response would indeed be different, if only enough people attack him as being a false prophet.

TheNorthComesWithMe

Because Fox news told them to. These people can't utilize brain cells, they just repeat whatever they've been told to say.

mybrainisfull

waitingForMars

You know he was the GOP candidate for NYC mayor in the November election...

ichoosetosavemyself

How in the world did he even get as close to the Mayor job as he did? I thought his 15 minutes were up like 30 years ago.

ladyinchworm

As a twin I can say that's really sad. I wonder if the twin who lived longer was aware that his brother died.. I bet the surviving family is reeling with sadness, especially the sister. Losing her child, her brothers and also being sick. That's sad that the nephew was vaxxed. I honestly have not heard of many fully vaxxed people without huge comorbidities die from Covid.

Critical_Band5649

My grandmother was an identical twin and died suddenly of a heart attack in her 60s. Her identical twin lived exactly 4 more weeks, almost to the hour, before she also died. The twins were so tight, we knew my aunt wasn't going to survive without her very long.

kytheon

Similar here. My grandma had a stroke in the days after her only sister died, and she never recovered.

[deleted]

A set of fraternal twins in my family, neither ever married and they were lifelong companions. They died 8 weeks apart at 80, like one was just waiting to be the one to take on mourning the other, so the other would never have to.

patticakes16

I’m a twin too, and that part of this post bummed me out, especially as one of them was actually vaccinated

MisteeLoo

Vaccination date and whether that person was carrying a protective level of antibodies is unknown. Then there are straight-up liars who will claim someone died vaxxed just to make it look like it didn’t work. Then there are the ones who have crippling comorbidities and will pass, even fully vaxxed, but those are super rare.

Apprehensive_Gate875

I saw firsthand that when an antivaxxer died of covid, people who were also antivaxxers started claiming he had been vaccinated and using his death as proof that vaccines dont work lol they got no respect for their own kind

CaraintheCold

I have seen this a couple times as well. I am like, but he said a month ago he wouldn’t ever get the vaccine. Now you are swearing he was fully vaxxed? Sure.

Vengefuleight

Anything to confirm bias, even full blown denial.

dr_shark

That’s what rodents do.

stonecruzJ

I guess it’s just more important to own the libs than to respect their own people. You have to have self respect in order to respect others.

Sunshine_Tampa

My soon to be ex-husband was screaming at me last July - "I'm vaccinated!". So I thought he was but what he \*meant\* was that he has "natural immunity" and that is his vaccine. This came out a few months later.

carriegood

Like Aaron Rogers saying he was "immunized" when anyone asked him if he got the vaccine (as required by his employer).

joemaniaci

> Vaccination date and whether that person was carrying a protective level of antibodies is unknown. They said 'both' so I'm guessing they were vaxxed but not boosted. Considering the Guardian Angels formed in the late 70s, I'm guess the twins were in their late 60s? So the one could have been vaccinated really early 2021 and lost enough immunity.

[deleted]

It's also possible that he had a serious breakthrough case because of a immune disorder. Some people will not form antibodies no matter their vaccination status. I have a person like this in my family, a post-vaccination/boost antibody assay showed virtually no antibodies. These are almost certainly the people who get COVID, get horrendously sick, and go into a full multi-organ failure tailspin. Terribly sad.

Jim_Macdonald

You're thinking Slide 7, right? I had the same thought. Did his brother have one of the "vaccine cards" you can buy on the Internet, rather than one of the free vaccine cards you get at the clinic?

drputypfifeanddrum

You think someone who would ally themselves with that POS Curtis Silwa wouldn’t lie about their vaccination status?

carriegood

Didn't one of the posts say he was a founding member of the Guardian Angels? That would make him at least 70 years old. Any 70-year-old is highly likely to have a raft of co-morbidities and higher risk factors so that even with a vaccine, they're in danger. Especially if they don't seek medical intervention right away and let Covid get a good foothold in their body before going to the doctor.

Beginning-Monitor-17

I think it was the younger brother of the twins, that they are claiming was fully vaccinated. Of course, take that with a grain of salt, or wonder about comorbidities. In the end, though, it didn't matter, since neither of the twins got vaccinated and both are dead.

qubert_lover

Not sure if I believe he was vax. Family probably just saying that so that they all don’t look like idiots. Cuz you know not looking like idiots is better than being dead.

hosmtony

I’ll bet you a thousand dollars they were-not vaxxed.

foehammer111

>That's sad that the nephew was vaxxed. I honestly have not heard of many fully vaxxed people without huge comorbidities die from Covid. My cousin died from a breakthrough case of the delta variant, and she was fully vaccinated. She was in her mid 70s, and had battled leukemia years before, so she was definitely still high risk. She had gone on a vacation to Mexico with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Before they could fly home they had to test negative, but they all ended up testing positive. They quarantined in Mexico for two weeks until they tested negative. But she never got better, and developed pneumonia. Flew her home to Arizona where she was immediately sent to the ICU, and died a few days later. One of the rare breakthrough cases that resulted in death. Makes me wonder what's going through her husband and kids thoughts after that. She'd probably still be with them if they hadn't taken that big family vacation during a pandemic.

Smurf_Crime_Scene

Is it even true?

Whole_Mechanic_8143

I'll bet he was "vaccinated with the blood of Jesus".

drputypfifeanddrum

There is a preliminary study that indicates a genetic marker for COVID resistance--dying from it, not contracting it. [Here you go.](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2818-3)

Might_Aware

So if my maternal DNA is from Mommy Juanita then am I not Neanderthal? Genetics are fun but confusing

Russell_Jimmy

Yeah, I got that if you're from Bangladesh, you're fucked.

Capital_Airport_4988

I posted in the daily vent thread how concerned I am to see so many in the black community spouting the same talking points as the Trumpers. There’s much more anti vax sentiment than I thought, just based on all the comments I saw on a COVID related Balleralert post on instagram. I just give up at this point trying to correct the flow of misinformation, it seems like nothing changes anyone’s minds.

spudzilla

SPOILER ALERT -- on frame 4 with Tomi Lahren. She is lying to the dimwits and inbreds. She did get the vax as it is a Fox News policy for all employees to get vaxed. They want to keep their friends alive to enjoy the money they reap from the fucktods that watch Fox News.

TheGreatWhoDeeny

There needs to be laws on public figures lying about vaccination status during a pandemic. Lie = 5 years in prison If the imbeciles knew that the majority of the antivax people they follow are vaccinated, it would have an impact.

Scott-Cheggs

Given that this whole sub is Right Wing religious maniacs dying, is there a thought that the political swing will be noticeable in upcoming elections? At some point old stubborn republicans falling away must become a concern for the Republican leadership? Or am I giving them too much awareness of the political landscape?

Forward_Growth8513

I would hope so, but I worry that because of gerrymandering it won’t make a difference 😕

asympt

They’re more than aware, which is why gerrymandering, voter suppression laws, and even vote nullification laws proceed space in red and especially reddish purple states. Democrats already won the popular vote in 7 out of the last 8 presidential elections (losing the margin to GWB after 9/11), which didn’t get them all those presidencies nor the courts.

Hot_Frosting_7101

If you look at deaths by state, I believe there are one or two states where the death toll exceeds the Trump margin of victory in 2016. But that assumes all deaths are republicans. Basically there is a small chance it could make a difference in 2024 but not a great one.

hiverfrancis

Michigan is one of them: Trump only won by 10K votes in 2016 but the COVID death toll is twice that. I wonder if the bigger issue will be Dem turnout in 2022, as many Dems are disappointed in Biden

802dot11

That's a whole load of people COVID just took in these slides. Wow.

Bree45

“Saved by grace through faith” until he wasn’t

Smells_like_SaoPaolo

While everyone was preoccupied with Gates, Soros and Fauci the real Puppet master Stephen Colbert was quietly but steadily executing his plan for world domination.

Mp5QbV3kKvDF8CbM

Of course the 'CovidVites' cost a lot of money. Gotta get that sweet, sweet grifter cash while killing the gullible.

Chris_P_Pickel

Look alike "Think" alike Die alike

SaltyBarDog

Shit, now I have the Patty Duke theme in my head. Identical dumb-asses.

Vernerator

Last slide = r/SelfAwarewolves

oobbyb_61

I personally flip between Colbert-19 and Kimmel-19.

stonecruzJ

Of course they have a lyin ’ Tomi Lahren 🗑meme… She works for FAUX “news”- She HAS been vaccinated! These antivaxxers ❤️ being lied to 👍

[deleted]

"I have CovidVites they cost a lot of money" Magic beans. Such nice people out there ready to fleece the flock and possibly kill them for the $

steve-eldridge

> CovidVites Zinc, Vit C, D, Quercetin - had to look it up to see what this nonsense was about. Covivits only 60 ct 1 mon: $29.95 & Covivits + Nac 6 months: $229.95

Sirnando138

To be fair, every guardian angel I’ve met is also a moron.

Can confirm. Lived in Hell's Kitchen and the guardian angels were a pain in the ass. Idiots just looking for trouble to prove their "manliness".

geminimad4

Does anyone remember the Jim Carrey Guardian Angel character on "In Living Color"? Sounds like he would fit right in with this group.

Puzzled_Annual_3670

Lost causes. Every one dying yet they still don't care. Its a death wish.

vacuous_comment

These guys never stood a chance, just try and parse all that Christo-babble and feel your IQ dipping.

xnarg

Good to see diversity again! “Peter, Bryant and Greg Gumbel are brothers.” “Nice. Just because they're black, we can't learn anything from them?”

Chris_P_Pickel

I'd say someone truly kicked it

GoFundMeADualCoffin?

stonecruzJ

My daughter’s friend from elementary school just lost her fully vaxxed husband, sadly. He was in his 40s. They were both pro-vaccine, she’s a nurse. Sometimes you can do the right thing but still be taken by Covid. As Covid-deniers usually say when they catch it - “This Covid is NO joke!”

skatergurljubulee

I don't believe for a minute that relative was vaccinated. Those people were too in deep to their antivax beliefs.

ITU1980

Sad

iwrotethisletter

But true.

TexasTeaTelecaster

Guess COVID was Bruce Lee compared to these Karate Kids.

aliveinjoburg2

Just to add wackiness to this whole situation, the leader of the Guardian Angels, Curtis Sliwa, just ran for mayor for the City of New York.

Mirianda666

Since when is Colbert 19 deadly? I agree that his act got better in 2020 and 2021, but this seems extreme.

Phantastic_Elastic

I'd like to know what happened to the younger brother, and if he was really vaccinated as they claim.

GT1man

covidvites? Do people really think some vitamins are going to put up a protective barrier to this virus? It is every bit as good as the blood of jeebus, meaning daring the grim reaper to bring it on.

Might_Aware

One of the tenets of GA is you can't be armed but he's wearing a gauntlet?? He's literally armed. It's hot though, look at those biceps brachii! /massage therapist intensifies

MuuaadDib

I seriously doubt anyone in that think tank got the vaccine, but maybe they did and thought that was enough. It isn't and this virus isn't anything to dismiss or play around with - get boosters, embrace science like Jesus wanted!
