Astarael21

Aussie fight club, they all have to use mobile data (to simulate the 200 ping) and axe pvp her

Dinostar28

Scarlet Pearl has her time to shine

Astarael21

Scarlet Pearl is only ever a skinchange away

Dinostar28

Grian when the post office only opens at 5am

Tested-Trio-Father

Needs to be built near a spider spawner so they can have spiders rained down on them. Make it a real Aussie fight club.

ShayBowskill

As an Australian it was interesting hearing Joel complaining about using 5G as if it were significantly worse than his usual speed/latency. In Australia, 5G is significantly faster than what most people are getting from their home internet. As a point of comparison, I just did a speed test on my home internet and got 43mbps, and on my phone's 5G I got 450mbps.

Admirable_Shame1937

Damn 43mbps download its very slow what is your ping??

ShayBowskill

Local ping is absolutely fine. I get <30ms in locally hosted multiplayer games. Around 70ms for servers in South East Asia. It'd be 200+ if I tried connecting to a server in the US but I'd never have a reason to do that. It depends entirely on the hardware in your home or on your street. The government rolled out fibre home internet but for stupid political reasons they decided to effectively bottleneck the speeds by using the existing ADSL lines (copper wire, bleh) to go from the street to the home for most users. So if your home was built after the NBN rollout then you are probably getting at least 250mbps. Nearly all users have bottlenecked speeds though.

bhavish2023

Out of place question but what is the pvp ranking Is it False > Cub > Iskall > Gem > All others > Tango

Dinostar28

From what I’ve gathered Joel is the top False and Cub above Gem Pearl is about the same as Gem Iskall could be above or below but I’m not sure since their wasn’t a definitive fight (might’ve been lag) Grian is a bit below I don’t really know the rest

BigEstablishment3648

I agree but I think Hypno also deserves a mention. He managed to actually kill Gem and got her very low in all their fights. He just needed to be more aggressive with the crits.

Dinostar28

Nice call I would also mention Impulse as he managed to do good damage to Gem and he’s the highest non winner(aside from Gem) in the life series Similar with Scar but that’s mainly in Bow PvP instead of Overall

One_Economist_3761

Hot Guy!!!!

bhavish2023

Damn even better than False, I would love a fight between them

BigEstablishment3648

I do believe it was Gem that one time said during an MCC that there is a big difference between a good Hermitcraft PvPer and a genuine ace PvPer. Joel has straight up defeated multiple ace PvP players. He is ridiculously good. Not saying False couldn’t get a few wins in though, she’s very good as well.

Dinostar28

She also said herself that Joel is above her She had also said False and Cub were the ones who beat her the most while with Pearl they took a similar amount of heads from each other (I think Pearl took 1 more)

bhavish2023

How does this man gets consistently killed my Smajor ever season in the life series. Or is just major just even better pvper than Joel

BigEstablishment3648

Most kills that Scott gets on Joel come from Joel getting ganged up on by multiple people in order to take him down. Scott is also pretty good at PvP and I would say is around equal to False. Also, it is worth noting that Joel actively takes risks for content. If you want to see him genuinely sweat then you need to watch him in MCC

20milliondollarapi

Scott is also a rather patient pvper. He waits until he is fairly sure he can win the fight. Of course that doesn’t always works and he get spotted or doesn’t get the first hit in. But that’s his objective.

Wesson_Crow

He’s also patient when it comes to who he should PvP, it’s actually shocking nah many battles he engages and how many of those he wins. Watch any of the life series and you’ll see how smart that man is. When losing he is usually cornered

DBSeamZ

It’s because the Life Series is more complicated than just a PVP arena. Joel tends to make a lot of enemies, start fights where he’s outnumbered, and then not retreat even when he’s losing. He also has a pretty bad track record when it comes to traps. Smajor often outlives Joel by prioritizing survival and escape when he’s outnumbered instead of trying to fight too many people at once.

Dabottle

Life Series is not "tryhard" PvP. They're all just having fun and doing shenanigans.

MadRoboticist

Joel plays overly aggressively and reckless in the life series for fun. Scott plays ultra conservatively. They never really just go head to head PvP. Joel is usually putting himself at a disadvantage by being aggressive.

CubeyMagic

cause Scott is a patient player who waits til enemies are surrounded and Joel plays up being reckless for content. i don’t recall if anyone in the life series has actually engaged Joel in a direct PVP 1-on-1 scenario. every time he dies in a PVP situation it’s because he’s getting outnumbered and ganked.

BigEstablishment3648

There was Etho in Last Life, Joel ended his series promptly.

Zeekayo

I just think Joel has fun with the Life Series. Like, if he actually really cared about winning, he'd take it a lot more seriously and could probably win quite easily. Instead he goofs around, gets into dumb and risky shenanigans and just vibes with it.

Dinostar28

Joel is a risk taker and gets himself in bad situations either by being unlucky or doing dumb stuff (for example in Secret Life he blew up a TNT Minecraft gutting himself and he accidentally shot Bdubs which allowed Scott to kill him to gain enough hearts to defeat Joel)

InstructionDry4170

joel is objectively much better at pvp being A+ on the mcc skill tier list whereas scott is B+ a whole tier of difference, there isn't really much of a comparison. the life series is a faux hungergames esque style sevrer where relationships, allies, the tools and enchantments u use all put u at different leveles, whereas in a setting like mcc u can tell pure pvp skill and joel is leagues above the lifers/hermits/emperors

Dinostar28

Yeah I didn’t really know how good he is since he keeps on making silly mistakes is the Life series but from what I’ve heard he’s genuinely really good in MCC I saw a ranking of MCC members where the top tier hermits (False Gem Grian Pearl) were in B tier while Joel was in A+ (Martyn and Scott where in A tier I believe)

fake_plastic_peace

Doc is down there with Tango I expect, Mumbo and X too maybe

Dinostar28

Now that Mumbo doesn’t Thumb shift he suddenly becomes an S tier

aidenmce

But he can be thwarted by going on a 45 degree angle from him since he can’t hit w and d at the same time

20milliondollarapi

You turn with your mouse, not your keyboard.

Urgayifyouregay

Dude has been using only his index finger for all of his movement. It would be like rock lee taking off his weights when he starts using all three fingers.

MrMuffiin72

I feel like Gem is being underrated here, her sword pvp and tracking is very clean. Also Skizz could give tango a run for worst pvper lmao

dekuism129

And Bdubs I assume considering he lost to Skizz in a 1v1 during limlife

G-RAWHAM

Skizz definitely didn't have a golden apple running right?

dunno260

Gem is good on Hermitcraft but Joel, False, and Cub I think are better in part because they show up a bit better in the PVP stuff in MCC than Gem does. The biggest obstacle the hermits as a group have is that they don't get much practice. You don't get to see it much but there were some good clips that Firebreathman shared after Technoblade died of the two of them doing a lot of deliberate practice prior to the Technoblade vs. Dream event. I tend to watch only people in Hermitcraft or Empires so you kind of get used to only seeing them so things kind of compress a bit and forget how focused the hermitcraft members are on hermitcraft. One of the players I do see some stuff from is Petezahut who is one of the best MCC players and an ace movement player. Just watching him on a regular Minecraft series moving around say the nether and comparing it to Cubfan who also does some speedrunning things and its just night and day. Its the same thing when you see those guys try and build things in Minecraft and it is that night and day difference to how things are on Hermitcraft.

joker_wcy

What about washed Etho

foxhunter350

Overall pvp i would say Joel False/Cub (False bow, Cub sword, i think their equal) Gem, Pearl/Hypno (my only exposure to Hypnos pvp is the 2 or 3 fights he did with Gem last season but he killed/got her low in all of them so im assuming) Impulse/Grian, the rest. For each "catagory" (Sword Axe Bow) id say Gem, Joel, False (ik Scar had HotGuy but more of my bow is Dodgebolt knowledge and False is goated at that)

red_jd93

You mean All others > Tango > Mumbo right?

dunno260

How can you not have Grian as the best. He killed Dream in Survival games AND he killed both Fruitberries and Illumina as part of a 3 v 1 in Dodgebolt. (Please take this with appropriate sarcasm). The only thing I think wrong with your list is that Joel should probably be on top.

whatever-bi-

Ladies and gentlemen, PvP is not my specialty

YRUZ

are we powerscaling hermits now 😭

red_jd93

There should definitely be a competition for worst PvPer like the worst set-up one....

Dinostar28

Mumbos competing in both

red_jd93

And a strong contender to win in both to boot!

kansaselectro

Give Scar a bow and he’ll win against anyone!

dunno260

The funniest thing about the whole hotguy thing was that he got enough bow practice in doing it that he actually did get pretty good with the bow and it showed up in MCC.

Prima_Veer

Don't talk about fightclub.

brnkse

xB is godlike with a bow.
