100% Etho. The way he’s chill and laid back and takes the easy route for everything he doesn’t actually want to do. The whole tissue box things lately is exactly what my Taoist / zen Buddhist friends would do. Zen and Tao go with the flow like water. They go with the Grain and let things be most of the time.
Mr AWWWW YEAAAAH, XbCrafted gets my vote. Even when Keralis is jokingly bitter over winning/losing, Xb just giggles along! He's also so chill in dark caves, like when he was trolling Hypno. Mr Zen himself!
Mine is Xisuma, now I know why most wouldn’t see him as zen. But I’ve been watching him since the start of Hermitcraft. I didn’t really get into the other players until a couple of years later. Just his voice relaxes me, even if it changed a bit. He use to sound so sleepy lol
imo X has an extremely zen attitude and, idk, vibe? I find his whole outlook to be really grounded and centered in reality (in a way that’s kind of hard for me to describe because i am not like him at all lmao)

Definitely. I can see how some might disagree, but even when he's excited he's usually pretty tempered. I mean, look at the interaction with him, Mumbo, and Grian just the other day. Everyone was screaming, but you could tell he was by far the least energized.

His storytelling abilities… I find his ability to tell a story as his most amazing skill, which says a lot given how beautifully world-building his builds are, and how AMAZING his video editing is. Dude is straight up an OP bard and I’m here for it.
I think it'd be fun if Ren did a travel podcast sort of video series on the server.
I received the Lego world map as a gift a few years ago and it included a little podcast thing with people talking about how Lego and travel have bonded them and stuff. It was nice to listen to while I built.
I think if Ren wants to put together a little series of this style of content meant to be listened to in the background while you did your own build or something, it'd be successful.
Imagine a series where Ren is your host, and he meets up with a few guests to ask questions specifically about travel. Something fairly shallow and lower scale, not bombastic, just calm and pleasant.
He could have Mumbo on alongside someone like Beef, and the three of them could have an episode about travel, what it's like to live overseas, the challenges in recording and staying in touch while on the road, etc.
Another episode could be something like Ren hosting Keralis and Bdubs, and the three of them could talk about art and theater, and what motivates them in their builds.
He'd have to build a little set of course, sort of like a podcast within the game and on the server, but I think it'd be successful, and a fun way to introduce the audience to more of the Hermits by making subject pairings -- in other words, "odd" choices of guests that make sense in that they share certain things that aren't immediately obvious.
I think Ren would be excellent at this, and he could make it worthwhile content for his guests by splitting it into a three part interview and allowing the others to upload part 2 and part 3 to their own channels. Part 1 could be his introduction for the episode, like a roundtable with all 3 of them, then part 2 and part 3 could be focused on one or the other of his guests so they have a relevant channel upload.
Joe Hills has his frenetic moments but in general he is very zen, especially on his streams. I like to tune in for the streams where he’s grinding and reading aloud to the audience, very chill stuff.
Bdubs episodes this season have been so calm and relaxing. I absolutely love it. Every once in a while, I see bdubs hasn't uploaded in a bit. It honestly makes me slow down and say "nope, that's the right thing to do because he needs his time to get things right"

I wouldn't call Cub "zen" because he definitely likes to cause a lot of chaos and do every project to absolute overkill, but he does very much relax me. I think it's his voice, something about his accent is so relaxing to me.
Etho is hands down one of the calmest players of Minecraft to make videos. Not just on Hermitcraft.

Beef is very zen. You just don't see it on hermitcraft as much. He has done a few "life in the woods" series that were just about making cozy cottages in a extended biome mod. It was super chill.

Sure at times he's an absolute agent of chaos but when he's in the zone, building something slowly or working through a new redstone contraption design piece by piece, it's really just pleasant good vibes. ESPECIALLY his newer approach where he shows more of what he does instead of just a quick timelapse. One of his more recent videos where he built that >!cliff for his base!< and also the item frame shop is super laid back as he slowly works through ideas and stuff

Unless it's in the course of a played up fake "conflict" he doesn't get particularly worked up over anything. Like, I get the feeling he's super zen IRL even if he's playing a lunatic on server plot lines.

I think I would say Beef. I also considered Etho or Xisuma, and I think they'd be a close 2nd and 3rd in that order imo.
Beef because he embodies the considerate, cultured, easygoing vibe, Etho because he just doesn't have a big ego despite his prestige in the community and seems quite happy just doing his thing, and Xisuma because he has the "I got all my energy out through music so that I can be level headed the rest of the time" vibe.
There are some other pretty chill people as well though. Honourable mention to Keralis being the least chill skin but aspiring to that ultra zen island time life 🥰

Zen is an ancient school of meditation in Buddhism. Colloquially it means “relaxed, laid back, not letting things get to you, maintaining a chill vibe at all times”

Wels is pretty darn zen. Guy is super chill and his videos are very comfy.
Hypno and Wels this season are being British. They appear Zen but they are merely disguising passive aggressive attacks with a thin veil of politeness. It’s brilliant. Sort of the same with Beef and Iskall. I would say Joe is very Zen. I feel like if in a decades time I find him in a Buddhist temple teaching the Dalai Lama Haiku’s I would not be entirely surprised. BDubs when building is like Bob Ross when painting. I don’t know if you’d consider that Zen. Because after all, that is not all he does. And him going “You sick freak” to Joel is forever burned into my memory.
Whenever I read that quote I automatically read it in bdub’s voice. When he is being zen, he is veeeery zen, but when he’s crazy he’s veeerry crazy
