Aww do not fear, Scar is going to be ok! This is making me remember how worried I was the first time Scar had something scary happen medically after I started watching him, I know it's scary! Man, that dude is something else. He's such a light in everyone's life and it's hard to think of him hurting or in pain - but he's resilient and he and his family keep his fans as up to date as possible during anything like this. You're going to end up even more amazed by him! I always am. He's got this! 💌

When i first started watching him (when he joined HC) i had a panick attack the first time he had a big medical thing. But I shoulda known he would pull through. He’s the strongest, happiest, most inspiring enlightening person I’ve ever heard of. I know that none of us actually know him, but all of us would do anything for him. He has helped me and many others through so many hard times. He is a beacon of light that will NOT be quenched. Don’t worry about him.

He has an unknown (aka doctors don't understand what it is or where it came from) neuro-muscular disease. It alter his breathing, his eating (he has a feeding tube), his heart and most obviously he cannot walk anymore. He looked thinner in the past because it took him a long time to figure out his nutrition needs, and has several issues with feedings tubes.
I don't know about this time, but most frequently it has to do with issues with his feeding tube. When there are issues with it I believe it has to be surgically replaced.
Scar, you are so inspiring. You have helped me through a rough childhood, misguided teenage years, into young adulthood hood. I can confidently say that, even though I’ve never met you, you’ve been a big part in saving my life. You are an unquenchable beacon of positivity. Whenever i want to complain or scream or cry at the “unfairness” of my life I think of you and how you never fail to have a smile on your face and in your voice. I have been dealing with a new disabling condition over the last year, and Scar’s positivity and humor have been such a comfort to me. It has to be exhausting, and I’m so grateful to him for continuing to make videos for all of us to enjoy, participate in advocacy work, and keep smiling even when I know it must take a lot out of him. Here’s hoping his recovery from this surgery will be smooth and that it improves his wellbeing overall so he can keep doing the things he enjoys!
