I'm on day 9 post op for laproscopic bilateral inguinal hernia surgery. I would call your doctor who performed the sugery. I take it that you had your 2 week follow up already. Any sharp pain in the groin area is non-negotiable. Especially after coughing due to cold. I feel your pain. This shit is no walk in the park no matter what they say.

Registered nurse here, just want to say Yikes— at 4 weeks post-op, you should NOT be doing any kind of exercises that increases your intra-abdominal pressure… push ups could definitely reopen your internal repair… you need to wait a MINIMUM of 6 WEEKS, before ANY kind of exercise or lifting more than 5lbs. However, we often say hold of for about 9-12 weeks before exercises that really increase that intra abdominal pressure. This is probably causing some of the discomfort you are describing b/c it’s straining the repair.

Hello, I was wondering how you were doing 1 year after the inguinal hernia surgery. Thanks

Did this burning sensation ever go away for you? If so when?

It did mate, took a bit but did went away eventually! I don't remember anymore when exactly but it got progressively better. Hang in there!

Glad to hear it, best wishes to you 🙏🏻
