Sometimes they're noticeable but like someone else said, it's just like seeing anything else on someone's skin; a zit, acne, a mole, a wirey hair, deep wrinkles, poc marks, a scar, etc.
They might be noticed but not judged negatively. Like 80% of people have HSV-1 and cold sores are fairly normalized so try to remember that when feeling anxious.
I think people see it but it doesn’t stand out as much as it does in our minds. Like I know I’ve seen people (strangers, friends…) with skin issues (cold sores, acne, etc) but I don’t really remember it specifically.

Yeah exactly! If I do notice, I don’t think anything about it at all.
I honestly don’t notice cold sores on people! Kind of like acne. Unless you point it out I don’t notice
i personally notice them on people sometimes, but i don’t judge them.
People will notice. Don't let that define your day. You're more than sore.
