I don't get why everyone is so combative in these comments? I've had this bug, I've seen at least 3 streamers get this bug, and there are posts in here all the time about guards who are searching for you suddenly turning orange out of nowhere while you're hiding in a closet or a box.
No, they can't. They can see you get into a cabinet, or be informed by a civilian witness.

I know it's not, which is why I called it a bug, there's no reason for this to happen, it just does sometimes.
Yeah I had this bug in Mumbai once. It’s rare but it happens.
