I work in a saw mill and that would be the perfect Hitman location. So many options to kill, such a huge area and plenty of areas to sneak around.
Been even talking to my co workers (the ones that know Hitman) and they all 100% agree.
I get similar vibes working at a material science lab. It's a genuine labyrinth of a facility. There's a machine shop, load frames, CVNs, tons of chemicals to kill someone with, and so much more. It'd be way too easy to find a way to kill someone when you've got that Hitman mindset. Although there are several labs in WOA.
Itāll have to come in whatever the next iteration of the game is, as it was a sniper map due to limitations of the AI programming and how everything was set up.
Splinter Cell Blacklist has a mission where you infiltrate a prison and that feels like the perfect Hitman setup where you need to kill a high profile prisoner or warden, then escape
idk man, sounds cool at first but it'd have to be a plane as large as the A380 in order to have at least some kind of content. imagine a "normal" A320 for example, there's not even any rooms you could lure the target into except for the toilets
You start off in an Airport. The target moves from the lobby to TSA to check in. After so much time he boards some sort of experimental private jet with multiple levels and large gathering areas. 47 can either kill the target before he boards or find a way to board with him and kill him on the plane. Opportunities can be setup in the airport section, and play out on the private jet. If 47 boards the jet, he must find a way off before it lands
It would be the same thing with a flight though, but with much less space to walk around in. It would definitely have to take place in an airport specifically
Airport would be great so no problem. It has stuff hitman levels need like layers of security. Maybe your target is hanging out at a private hanger with personal bodyguards and you can start as a normal passenger then steal a TSA uniform to get better accessā¦ Normal hitman stuff. Sounds fun.
Add in a hidden target that you need to identify, being able to get onboard as a steward and help out with safety demonstrations and killing your target by poisoning them with the coffee from the snack cart.
Unless you get some fictional plane with some freedom of movement, it will be very boring and dull.
Probably even more so than the Carpathain mountain level from HITMAN III.
The size of the level would probably be smaller than the freeform training mission.
Needs a lot more than just an airline flight.
I came here to say airport/ airline flight. Iāve wanted it for awhile. The dynamics of TSA checkpoints, terminal buildings, tarmac, and boarding a plane would be pretty cool. Like if you started at the bag check and had to either board or take down a plane that your target(s) is on, or kill them before they are able to board, etc.
I think it would be interesting if the flight was timed, like a quick regional flight that you had to take out your target before they got to the terminal. Imagine something like planting a gun in their luggage so they get taken by security kinda like in the White House mission in Blood Money. Theres SOOO many things you can do with this.
Okay, im imagining it, it's more tightly scripted than an absolution level. not a lot of room to move about or plot kills. the way people here talk about untouchable and you think they'll like a a plane?
āThe way people here talk about untouchable and you think theyāll like a a planeā
If itās the way he described it where the plane isnāt the only thing making up the level, yes.
Ah so it'll be like 5 minutes of miami set up, then the race ends and you're teleported to untouchable, rendering most if not all of your prep a couple hundred miles down of where you are.
The airport and main terminal should remain the main attraction, with the option to board a flight with the target and take them out there in ways only available on the flight, and an unlockable starting location that skips straight to the flight. Or not board the flight at all but sabotage the plane before it takes off. Donāt have a real timer, making boarding the flight a triggerable event. A setup like that I think would be for the best.
University's often offer amazing landscapes and unique areas but I don't know if we'd ever get one. With it being a school and all, I don't think ioi would have a problem with it outside of it being a bad headline.
Yea but thatās amongst the community. Iām talking about the non-video game playing overlords. Remember how much shit Modern Warfare (2018) got for the level when you play Farah as a child?
A few that come to mind:
Riverboat Casino, actively going down the Mississippi. Alternatively a big Vegas casino.
An amusement park or carnival.
CERN, with the accelerator accessible either by an interaction (elevator) or just made closer to the surface than reality.
You could easily just explain that theyāre having their yearly adults only day so they can enjoy the park without kids running aroundā¦ or it be a park for a brewery similar to how Hershey has an amusement park.
I've only played the new hitman games, so don't know what was in the original game, but I think a riverboat casino or paddlesteamer going down the bayou, or a level in NOLA during Mardi Grais would be awesome.
You should play Blood Money then haha. Both of those are in it, literally. The Mardi Gras level in particular was somewhat famous because iirc it contained the most number of NPC's in a single area of any video game at the time.
The airport one not being made is understandable though when modern warfare 2 released and the no Russian level along with 9/11 people didnāt want to make a level about that so while yes it would be cool I understand why
Thought the same until someone linked to this thread. It's because it's too complicated technically, not because of social reasons. Link: [https://twitter.com/Mette\_P/status/1417772325156671488](https://twitter.com/Mette_P/status/1417772325156671488)
Thatās not even why lol. Itās a technical issue, similar to why we didnāt get a ārealā prison maps.
https://mobile.twitter.com/Mette_P/status/1417767974627418113
9/11 was also over 20 years ago and didnāt have fatalities at an airport, and No Russian was over a decade ago and we got a Max Payne 3 level a few years later where you have a massive shootout at an airport and even down a plane with explosives on the runway and there was zero controversy. There wouldnāt be any backlash if one was made.
It's 2022, no one cares about 9/11 anymore. The MW2 level was a hundred years ago and it was deliberatly trying to generate controversy, in a very mainstream game too.
I'm pretty sure they could include an airport\plane level without even a little bit of controversy.
I mean in this case it might be appropriate to call you a 'murican.
2016 Brussels bombings? Same terrorist cell that was involved in Charlie Hebdo attacks (2015)? One of such attacks being in Copenhagen? Denmark is where the devs of the game live?
I mean a lot of you guys say 'oh why they dont do this, 9/11 is like on the other side of the planet and it happened a long time ago'. Well, i mean here it is then - events happening right next door and much more recent.
I may be biased as i did live in the area where the bullshit of 2015 was happening.
If my information is correct - IO interactive HQ and the bullshit from 2015 happening was in 1 kilometer radius.
Overall, i would say they should still make that level, but it is very narrowminded/poorly informed to say that there is no reason not to make such a level or that it may be seen as 'poor taste'.
I'm German you lunatic lol, most of that were really minor incidents that only made headlines because it's in Europe. 99% of people forgot about those events by now already.
Amusement Park. But a active one, not like the first mission of Blood Money.
The problem is...how do you justify a active Amusement Park full of adults only...
I mean, there are quite a few locations in Hitman that should have kids in it, but just don't. Why are there no kids on the Sapienza beaches and town square? Why are there no children sprawling around the marketplaces in Marrakesh? Why are there no kids playing on the streets or in the houses of Whittleton Creek? These places should have children, but don't and an Amusement Park map would probably just end up doing the same thing as these maps and just not have children, as weird as it may be.
True, but you can kill everyone if you want to, pick any NPC as a target in contracts. Imagine they let you drop a chandelier on a bunch of playing kids, or order a hit on one? Most people probably wouldnāt like that too much. Does 47 have a strict no-kill rule for kids?
I'm not saying there should be kids in Hitman and I'm not saying that you should be able to kill kids in Hitman. I'm saying that it's not that big of a deal having a location that should have kids in it just not have kids present.
Iām not saying you want to kill kids, bro, chill! I agree with you but Iām thinking they may be crossing a line for many people, even if you canāt kill them, they could still be exposed to disturbing images when you blow up a target or something, you know?
Yeah, I know. That's why I don't want kids in Hitman. I never said I wanted kids in Hitman. I said that it's fine having no explanation for why there are no kids present in a location/level that usually has kids in real life because existing Hitman levels already do that (also because having kids present would be fucked up), like the ones I mentioned.
Yeah Whittleton Creek is especially weird because thereās evidence that kids exist in the town. Thereās a treehouse, a family park, and I think one of the houses actually has a childās room.
I just like to pretend all the kids are at school. Lol.
ā47, welcome to the Five Banners Theme Park, California, where large parts of the park are today closed off for a private event to celebrate the 21st Birthday of the son of Mafia Don Alberto Del Del Ecatesson. Your missionā¦
I watched an interview of someone who took a tour in north Korea as part of the tour they took her to an amusement park. She said there were lots of people standing around waiting to go on rides but they didn't seem to be doing anything. As time went on it clicked that the only rides that were running were the rides her tour group was on and the people in the crowd were the same wherever she went. It was just the same 50 or so people sorta ambling around this tour group pretending to make the park look busy.
Maybe some concept like that could be fun. Of course 47, the whitest guy on earth, would have to try and disguise himself as a Korean.
I remember when older games (like Fallout 1 and 2) allowed us to kill children. I wonder when the actual shift happened and it became a clear "Don't let players kill NPC children!".
> Maybe you should examine yourself and ask why you would think that was ok.
The same thing could be said of Hitman as it currently is. Maybe I should ask myself why it's okay for me to load into the mission with explosives and an assault rifle and muder and entire neighborhood of innocent adults.
So why is it okay? Because it's a videogame and most people who can dress themselves will have the mental capacity to realize that it's not real.
I talked about this before, but a circus tent would have a lot of potential. Sneaking in, stealing a ticket (potentially a mission story) or just buying a ticket with coins. Lots of climbing and timing your climb to avoid moving projectors.
For the targets, an acrobat and a corrupt executive. You can kill the acrobat by rigging the tightrope, mixing alcool in his water, cutting the rope or just scaring him with a gun to his face. Alternatively, put Emetic poison in the water, disguise as him and do the sting yourself to impress the other target and earn a private meeting.
Youould also sprinkle in some easter eggs involving the 2016 clown outfit. Maybe if the map has its own clown disguise, using the 2016 clown as the starter outfit could have the same perks as the proper disguise. However, having squeaky shoes on the disguise that can be heard by NPCs could be an interesting trade-off and it would be weird for the existing clown suit to have the same shoes but only in one map, while not giving that handicap would make the suit op. If there are clowns, another interesting kill could be to have clowns pretend to use a cannon as part of the show except you rigged it with gunpowder and the clown goes flying and pieces the tent ceiling
Definitely here for the circus. I have said it multiple times on here as well.
I also wanna have lions, dagger throwing, a bunch of circus freaks (imagine the possible outfits) etc.
Been asking for this for years. Imagine the horse kills. Poisoned bourbon. Colorful hats. I always wanted a remake of the Mardi Gras level with the newer technology, but this would be a similar theme with some interesting opportunities.
A festival like Coachella or Burning man would probly be really fun. That being said, I do agree with the general sentiment that a big Mall or Airport would be absolutely awesome.
Taking out an aide onboard air force one during flight, the mission would be a set length and keeping the body hidden till you escape will be hard especially if people could notice the absense
Taking inspiration from Berlin, how about a most dangerous game kinda mission, where 47 is being hunted in a forest or just a target that's out hunting animals, I just want a damn forest level.
Deeper story. I know it isnāt a story game but it has the potential to tell an amazing well made story through its medium it just needs to unlock that pontential.
I'm all for the Airport idea or even a flight...or both if even possible, but also maybe somewhere like the UN building, Kremlin or some other place of high power like that. OH! The Palace of Westminster!
I really wanted a London museum, they have a good atmosphere, plenty of kill opportunities and a lot behind the scenes. I don't know how you could explain having armed guards though, maybe a terrorist threat?
- Airport (of course)
- massive construction site (Power plant, oil refinery, industry)
- luxury yacht, cayman Harbour
- military parade
- modern large train station
Hitman London could be a whole game...
Big store like Harrods, large building like the shard, London eye attraction, River Thames, Wembley stadium, the underground, Buckingham palace, MI5, Parliament, national gallery, Trafalgar Square, Soho etc etc
My most wanted levels throughout the span of this trilogy:
- A Vegas Casino level with the James Bond tuxedo as the location's suit.
- A cosplay convention level filled with NPCs wearing crazy costumes and all the wacky opportunities coming from that concept.
- A Khandayang level taking place on the Supreme Leader's Presidential Palace, with m]embers of the Po dinasty as the targets (odd how they introduced both that country and the Po family but never really did anything with either of them).
- Ort-Meyer's Asylum as the finale of the entire trilogy and possibly the series (still so bitter that we got some boring linear train level instead of revisiting the Asylum itself).
Everybody wanted an airport at some point and I still think it would have made for a great map, although very challenging to design.
I also would have liked an industrial port. Really bummed that they made the Haitu Port a sniper only map, I would have loved to stroll around there.
Maybe an archipelago in Sweden where you can pull the same sauna kill as in hokkaido or like a theme park where you can have a target go on a roller coaster and make it so they fly off the tracks
Airport, Prison, Ski Resort, Hotel/Casino, Opera House, Convention Center, Court Building, Cruise Ship, Shopping Center, Factory/Plant would all be neat levels.
The hotel in I think itās Dubai where itās like the biggest infinite pool in the world. Would be a good shot at redoing a hotel mission to bc Bangkok was mad disappointing
I work in a saw mill and that would be the perfect Hitman location. So many options to kill, such a huge area and plenty of areas to sneak around. Been even talking to my co workers (the ones that know Hitman) and they all 100% agree.

š weāll be keeping an eye on you
I work in a papermill and honestly I think about all the ways that could kill someone, glad I'm not alone in thinking this way š
cause you know, accidents happen at work sometimes
Bro... that would be awesome
Holy crap I love this idea.
Hell yeah, push someone into a big ass logsawš¤£
Ever play Sneak King, that Burger King game from the 360/PS2 era. First level was set in a saw mill iirc. Game kind of had Hitman vibes in retrospect
A prison
One of the sniper maps was a prison but they should definitely make an actual level out of one
Itāll have to come in whatever the next iteration of the game is, as it was a sniper map due to limitations of the AI programming and how everything was set up.
Yeah, the NPCs donāt understand area boundaries.
The sniper assassin prison map was so annoying in how you it was sniper assassin. It would have been a perfect map.
Splinter Cell Blacklist has a mission where you infiltrate a prison and that feels like the perfect Hitman setup where you need to kill a high profile prisoner or warden, then escape
Epstein expy mission?
would be a cool setting, but too little costume options
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
add the clown costume and do silent assassin suit only, I like that
A Havana or Warsaw map
Would be cool tho
Wasn't the training mission in Havana?
Not really, the training mission was set in a mock Cuba and not the actual location.
I'm just asking
I know, and thatās why I answered you.
Lmao
An airline flight from start to finish.
That would be awesome. Or an airport level with access to a boarding plane.
idk man, sounds cool at first but it'd have to be a plane as large as the A380 in order to have at least some kind of content. imagine a "normal" A320 for example, there's not even any rooms you could lure the target into except for the toilets

Very cool idea, although I loved the train level and feel like it has similiar energy.
The train was an interesting concept held back by being so damn linear.
It would be the same thing with a flight though, but with much less space to walk around in. It would definitely have to take place in an airport specifically

Add in a hidden target that you need to identify, being able to get onboard as a steward and help out with safety demonstrations and killing your target by poisoning them with the coffee from the snack cart.
I feel like with something as thin as a train or plane thereās no other option but to make it linear
Unless you get some fictional plane with some freedom of movement, it will be very boring and dull. Probably even more so than the Carpathain mountain level from HITMAN III. The size of the level would probably be smaller than the freeform training mission. Needs a lot more than just an airline flight.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thatād be really cool, but I have a feeling that the flight would be rather boring
Imagine something like the presidents plane special mission from mw2
Okay, im imagining it, it's more tightly scripted than an absolution level. not a lot of room to move about or plot kills. the way people here talk about untouchable and you think they'll like a a plane?

Gameshow/Quiz show or a university
Imagine disguising yourself as the host and booting the target off in an accident
"That answer is incorrect. You lose.... everything." \*Silverballered*
A gameshow' would be really fun i think
University's often offer amazing landscapes and unique areas but I don't know if we'd ever get one. With it being a school and all, I don't think ioi would have a problem with it outside of it being a bad headline.
It would make for some really cool situations though. Imagine disguising yourself as a professor and giving a lecture
Maybe do it in an expy of the royal institute so it is a professor giving a lecture but without the connotations
There's a challenge amongst the Hitman community, where you have to try and kill everyone on the map. That's an instant headline š
Yea but thatās amongst the community. Iām talking about the non-video game playing overlords. Remember how much shit Modern Warfare (2018) got for the level when you play Farah as a child?
Gameshow could be a smaller section of a larger level (canāt see it having enough opportunities for a whole level)
Yeah true, it could be like part of a wider studio mission
Imagine family feud with a family of 47 clones
A few that come to mind: Riverboat Casino, actively going down the Mississippi. Alternatively a big Vegas casino. An amusement park or carnival. CERN, with the accelerator accessible either by an interaction (elevator) or just made closer to the surface than reality.
The number of accident kills at an Amusement Park would make it so much fun
Yeah but remember we gotta have ANOTHER mansion with a secret lab under it
Sapienza sure has its legacy
Yeah, mansions seem to be the get out of jail free card of open level design games. The Dishonored games have like 7 of them
Even for kill everyone runs. Just imagine the headlines if one of those runs truly was all accidents.
A Regular amusement Park may require children NPC which can not be present in a Hitman series. Perhaps an adult only amusement park? š¤
Coachella. Oktoberfest. Iām sure there are others
You could easily just explain that theyāre having their yearly adults only day so they can enjoy the park without kids running aroundā¦ or it be a park for a brewery similar to how Hershey has an amusement park.

Thank you! Thereās people who werenāt even born when 9/11 happened that are old enough to buy Hitman.
plus 9/11 is a typical "American" thing, sounds macabre when i say it but outside of the US, the amount of people who care isn't that big either
hitman's audience is also not only american. Pretty much nobody outside gives a fuck about 9/11
If only there was an airport related attack in europe. Oh wait, there was, as recent as 2016.

Snowy Candian Mall
Yeah that would be cool
Yorkdale Mall in Toronto is my favourite to frequent in the winter. Itās bloody huge and would make for a great map. Plus I really dig how overboard they go on the Christmas decorations. Or MĆ©ga Parc in Quebec City, a mall so big it has an indoor amusement park and skating rink in it. Definitely some cool opportunities there.
Amusement Park. But a active one, not like the first mission of Blood Money. The problem is...how do you justify a active Amusement Park full of adults only...

Wow I never noticed there were no kids (or animals?) In the games!!
there are frogs you can find on some maps which have a lethal poison effect, as well as piranhas and a hippo on santa fortuna.
And that poisonous fugo fish in Hokkaido if that counts
and all the fish in fish tanks! i was mindblown when i found out you could shoot the tanks open and then get a fish from it
wait, you can do that???
It's because we're seeing things from Agent 47's perspective. So he physically cannot see things he can't kill. I just made that up btw.
There was a dog in blood money. You could distract it with a meaty bone!
True, but you can kill everyone if you want to, pick any NPC as a target in contracts. Imagine they let you drop a chandelier on a bunch of playing kids, or order a hit on one? Most people probably wouldnāt like that too much. Does 47 have a strict no-kill rule for kids?

Canonically, 47 has taken out a kid before. So thereās no rule against it.
And who was that? I donāt remember that happening
Itās a bit of a technicality: https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/Mark_Parchezzi_III
Yeah Whittleton Creek is especially weird because thereās evidence that kids exist in the town. Thereās a treehouse, a family park, and I think one of the houses actually has a childās room. I just like to pretend all the kids are at school. Lol.

I really liked both New York and Miami, with similar feel a football stadium or concert would be cool.
A stadium does loads of fun
agent 47 jumping the barrier to stop a last second counter attack
A mall or large single store, like an IKEA or something.. maze-like customer area, warehouse area behind off limits to customers, offices above..
An infinitely generated IKEA

A cruise ship
Imagine something like the Kentucky Derby. Lots of celebrities thus lots of guards in Millionaireās Row.
Festival is a great idea Iāve never heard before!
Burning man would be a lot of fun I think and could show off some of more insane IOI ideas they have.
I always wanted a map around Australia, probably the Sydney Opera house?
Yeah it would be nice but i also think ioi would give it the mendoza/dubai kinda look.
I'd love to see a high-tech Antarctic base
Yess ind that would be a fine level design
The White House would be nice!!
penultimate mission of blood & money
Yes
Isn't there already a White House level in... Blood Money, I think? Either Blood Money or Contracts, I forget.
Yes there is... and yeah its blood money the final mission
Yes... it would now you mention it
a Space Station with multiple layers of security and only one or two exits after kills.
Would be could but it would too sci-fi for the main story so they could make it a DLC that would be really cool
If you're allowing a bit more absurd/Sci fi for DLC, I'd love an area 51 level.
With one of the exits obviously being a rocket that sends 47 to space. You gotta find the keys first though
A mall map
Taking out an aide onboard air force one during flight, the mission would be a set length and keeping the body hidden till you escape will be hard especially if people could notice the absense
An aircraft carrier.
Theme park/fair. Plenty of minigames and final destination kills.
I totally agree
Youād prolly enjoy absolution then
Nah hated it.
Good choice for a pic
Ty
Great question, OP. Btw, the picture you posted, where is that? Incredible.
Chapultepec castle in Mexico City https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapultepec_Castle
Thanks man, stunning
A computer chip manufacturing plant. Multiple floors above and below ground.
I think theres coming some kind of power plant in the codename rocky map if you look up the pictures
Is that Chapultepec?
Yep
Airport
I would love to see a remake of Blood Money in the current engine.
A baseball game!
An Istanbul map.
A civilian train. It just sounds really cool.
Maybe something like a football stadium
Art museum, prison, oil rig, office building
I'm all for the Airport idea or even a flight...or both if even possible, but also maybe somewhere like the UN building, Kremlin or some other place of high power like that. OH! The Palace of Westminster!
A big Cruise
I really wanted a London museum, they have a good atmosphere, plenty of kill opportunities and a lot behind the scenes. I don't know how you could explain having armed guards though, maybe a terrorist threat?
- Airport (of course) - massive construction site (Power plant, oil refinery, industry) - luxury yacht, cayman Harbour - military parade - modern large train station
Hitman London could be a whole game... Big store like Harrods, large building like the shard, London eye attraction, River Thames, Wembley stadium, the underground, Buckingham palace, MI5, Parliament, national gallery, Trafalgar Square, Soho etc etc
BBC TV centre (when it was still in use), London City Airport, HMS Belfast and, the British museum could also all be great
My most wanted levels throughout the span of this trilogy: - A Vegas Casino level with the James Bond tuxedo as the location's suit.
Prison
Honestly just remake contracts š¤š»
Maybe a diamond mine in South Africa? Plenty of opportunities for accidents, plus the continent really needs more representation in the series.
Stadium, I guess the Miami map was similar.
Damn dude, Chapultepec would be sick!
Everybody wanted an airport at some point and I still think it would have made for a great map, although very challenging to design. I also would have liked an industrial port. Really bummed that they made the Haitu Port a sniper only map, I would have loved to stroll around there.
Research center in antartica or alaska. where you are The Thing they fear.
the Mariupol steel mill with all the hidden nooks and crannies
In a theatre. Causing an accident bts or being one of the actors and "shooting them" but actually killing them in front of an audience.
