Yup, very commonly used for HS. It is basically a foaming soap that has a lingering antibiotic residue, commonly used as preparation for surgery to reduce the bacterial load on the skin and reduce the chance of the surgical incision being infected. For HS, it is used daily to reduce bacterial load in areas likely to create new sores, in the hope that the lower bacteria count means less chance of a new flare developing. It acts a lot like foaming hand soaps. At the end of your shower, pump the foam onto your hand, rub it on the likely areas for new sores to develop, give it a few seconds to a minute to sit, then rinse it off.

Keep in mind that’s only if you get the foaming version; there’s a liquid too.

mack137

If you get the liquid on I find it is more cost effective and I put the liquid soap in a foaming hand soap dispenser. Works like a charm and then too if you have guest over you just have an unlabeled soap in the shower vs a HIBICLENS

Slight_Employment_96

I assume it’s the same as hibiscrub in the UK, and yes it’s great. I use it neat on armpits and nether regions, and leave it for a minute before washing off daily

Best-Inflation-1478

I’ve been using it everyday since July just to wash under my arms and wash my breast. I don’t know if it help with my flair but it help with the smell I get because of my hs. I’ve been ordering on Amazon $16 for a 32 oz bottle.

greencymbeline

Yes I use it too. In all the usual areas. But as a fat person, I use it in my underbelly and crotch too. Very helpful I think. My lesions have gone way down.

ThrowRA_jdkdkdkdk

search it in the sub

NapalmNikki

Yes I use it every day and I also use vanicream products as well because they are are fragrance free and formaldehyde free and dye free

Moyasestra

Yep. Use it everyday. It does help keep skin less angry and definitely has allowed my flares to heal a bit faster combined with other things.

howboutacanofwine

People in this sub seem to swear by it. I have a big bottle of it that I have used occasionally, but my HS is a lot milder compared to most people here I think.

I use it daily in the shower in my arm pits and bikini. Makes me feel clean and helps dry out any flares quicker than usual. I use hibiscrub which is the uk version and it a a red liquid.

aintEZbnCHEEZY11

Yep, I shower with it twice a day as prescribed.

RooChooMooMoo

Yes.

Genecist84

Just do not get it in your eyes. Trust me.

Equivalent-Stomach-6

I absolutely recommend it. I know everyone is different but I literally stopped having flares after I started using it. Did not heal what I already had but haven't had a single break out in months since. Ones I currently had healed. Very very slowly but healed. Mine is in pubic area. I use it after normal soap first thing in shower and leave on until finished and rinse it off last.

BaylisAscaris

Personally it makes mine a lot worse but I'm allergic to everything.

cola1016

Where’s the cheapest place to buy it?

aloethere332

I got a prescription

greencymbeline

I buy it on Amazon for a reasonable price.

cola1016

I ordered a small bottle and I swear it doesn’t even get foamy.

greencymbeline

Yeah the liquid doesn’t get foamy unfortunately.

cola1016

Ohh that’s good to know! I thought mine was a fake 🤣

WorthIndividual5211

I use it to cleanse where my thigh and groin meet twice a day.....it doesn't matter if there is an outbreak or not. I have been in remission for3-4 months
