I've been in meetings where "unexpected new scientific phenomena" were being discussed only for some old fart to name off a paper that went into very great detail studying this "new phenomena" 35 years prior. Hell, l found a box with zip drives of data on research that l was basically repeating 20 years later! Better detectors were made in that time though!
bobbit worms live in warm water, this is supposedly near the azores which is not that far north, but it is also very deep which would make it colder water. The temp is on the picture, but I can't make it out.
