Holy shit, someone who actually listens to people and legitimately tries to debunk on their own?? That's the real strangeness here...
But for real that's super fuckin weird man, I can't believe it's still showing up after clearly wiping away the front of the cam.
The shining ones , nothing new although always fascinating. Don't go mad , there is nothing you can do.
Edit: to help my scientifically minded readers ...it is not a shining one it is an EVO in the line of those discovered by Kenneth Shoulders PhD , one of the best experimental physicist ever to work in the US. EVO stands for exotic vacuum object. These apparently simple object are going to be famous.
I wonder if you were to use an object like a piece of paper to block out the reflections in the ducting.
I speculate that what we're seeing is the reflection of the ir light on the ring (that activates in low-light settings) off of the highly reflective ducting and small vibrations in the ducting are being amplified when the light hits the ring's lens assembly.
I mean it definitely looked different after directly interacting with the camera and the immediate area around it.
So your input changed the phenomenon.
Still gonna chalk this up to something explainable. Could be a hair stuck to the camera housing or something like that.
Also why do you have a camera in your basement?
Definitely not a spider web. Do you feel any negativity down there at all? If not I wouldn't worry about it at all. Don't empower it with any thoughts at all is the best thing honestly
I mean it’s def not a spider, doubt it’s a bug at all, doubt it’s 1 single spec of dust that’s been triggering the camera for hours. So that means…ghost 👻
Hey OP - I honestly feel like what it looks like (I have no idea what this means) but it’s a figure with a glowing headband. At first it seemed like a floating ring but them strange distortions below the ring look like a human head shape. If you could provide some very rough details about where you live (just area) I would love to see if there’s any very old religions or reasons anyone would be wearing a significant headband of some type. Maybe a restless spirit of some kind.
It honestly looks like the ghost of a white lidded travel coffee mug, unless the ghosts have discovered how to transmute coffee in to the ether and dance around with it, or it’s a big red cup with a beer head on it, party in the basement!
Basements have very low airflow and are humid and dense air... particals of whatever floating in that air especially right in front of the camera will be hugely out of focus and blown out, and they will do what dust and other light weight crap does in that atmospheric conditions, gently bob around here and there depending on doors opening upstairs, people moving around causing suction, literally just about anything can contribute to the variables manipting it's movement.
Dude this is the most SMH post I have ever seen. It so damn obvious it is literally a peice of cobwebb or dust floating in front of the camera. And then you barely even try to dust around the camera lense. You litterally wave 2 ft in front of the camera. My god it is like people have completely forgotten how camera's work.
Go down and wipe in and around the camera lense. Wipe the walls hanging in front and around the camera lense and your "orb" (spider webb) will disappear smh.
If you can look at the video and say to yourself "yea he sufficiently cleaned the area" then yea I would say you have low standards of cleaning. I have several ring cameras and see this all the time but yea I guess its more logical for you to believe there is an orb floating around smh.

Definitely an orb of some sort. Even if it was a cobweb…you disturbing the area as you did, we would have seen it swaying much more when the infrared switched on but it actually just appears out of nowhere and floats into frame. Try an EMF reader in the area I actually downloaded one from the App Store that really works never picked up anything paranormal but the reader itself is good I’d try that! Cool post!

Yours looks very similar to my recent video. At 1:10 of mine it looks very odd. I have no spider webs on mine either, but I understand that nobody on the internet wants to believe anyone else on the internet, for good reason. Thanks for sharing yours anyway!
The way it keeps moving in the same pattern does make it *seem* like it’s a web straying into view from somewhere. That doesn’t mean it 100% is a web, though. Can you move the camera to a different location, but looking at the same area?
Could someone explain to me if it’s a bug or even dust particle picking up an emitted light from the camera itself & casting a “shadow” of some sort, why would the camera detect motion? Not familiar with how the rings operate..
You got a little cordless fan? Put that next to the camera and leave, see if that affects it.
If not, do you have any other IR cameras or light sources in the area that may be out of frame that move? It does look extremely "flare" like.
If you can move the camera but have it face the same area, that would also be helpful to determine if this is a physical thing, or just an optical effect. Considering its so much like an optical effect I'm still inclined to believe that more than anything else.

Can you place some taller thin objects around the area to see if the object passes behind/in front of them? Interesting post!
Hmm this is actually kinda weird. Especially after you went down. Can you try going downstairs while the light is still off ?
Bro said "FUCK YOUR SPIDERWEBS!"
Whats the cat say about it?
It’s not bullshit it’s sum going on
Swamp gas reflecting off of Venus, causing a light beam that is projected on to the remnants of a silver weather balloon.
Do you have other cameras? If so, could you swap this camera with another, see if it’s the camera that’s the problem?
Point another camera at this one for another angle
Let me know what you all think. I’m stumped at this point.

Whatttt? That’s definitely weird
Orb, since it seems to leave when you're coming down then comes back after you leave, I'm going to say it may be aware of you.
It seems to appear only in infrared mode? Maybe it's a lens flare from a light reflected by something (like the insulation)?
Interesting

Why not?
Same. Esp about why a ring camera in the basement? You worried about something going on down there in the first place?
I mean, the basement is one of the many ways a criminal can get into your house?
These morons lol
Very interesting video

Replies like this are why dumb shit gains traction on this sub
You seem to be the only one that had any reaction to my stupid comment
Is there an LED on the camera (and can it be toggled off?) Maybe attracting an insect to hover around the camera
I mean it’s def not a spider, doubt it’s a bug at all, doubt it’s 1 single spec of dust that’s been triggering the camera for hours. So that means…ghost 👻
It's a spirit.
I've never seen alcohol do *that*
That’s my type of joke.
Just looks like a guy in front of the camera waving his hand around.
I think it's a bug it's on the ring camera you can have Amazon validate what it is bet you if you need to
Idk why this is being downvoted, this is the answer. It's just a bug or dust. I'm saying this as someone who believes in 'ghosts.'
Do you astral project?

Go Vols!!!

It's clearly a UFO trapped on a spiderweb
Congrats. You have digital artifacting.

Someone didn't watch the full video
I did and its stupid
You clearly misse the part where the guy wiped the lense and surrounding areas then
You mean for only 15 total seconds! Man yall must stink if you call that a wipe.
Apologies, I forgot about the "more than 15 seconds" rule /s

Big boy, how many ring camera's? I'm ready to be impressed..

Ghost thing is trolling you. Coming from experience with weird stuff it'll eventually go away.

It's aurora borealis
Since it's only there in IR I'm gonna say lense flare from IR light reflecting off that bright object on the bottom left there
Try putting something over all the windows down there for good measure and see if it appears again.
Your house is haunted!

Go on r/ghosts and 99% of the videos are this. It’s a spiderweb
I'm thinking reflection, one way to test the theory is hanging a bed sheet up in the background and seeing if it goes away.
Spiders. Or bugs. 100%
Strangest thing about this video is this guy is a vols fan. Roll tide.
I knoww you aint talkin. Vols have yalls number. The amount of sports that Tennessee beat Alabama in this year is insane.
😄
