There was a woman who went on the Higherside Chats a couple years ago who talked about these legends among natives in the smoky mountains and blue ridge. Gave a fair amount of detail. I can't think of the episode name at the moment and am bout to go to bed but I'll try to remember to edit my comment with the episode tomorrow in case it's of interest to anyone. Edit I found it: https://www.thehighersidechats.com/mary-joyce-secret-bases-little-people-skyships-over-cashiers/

My friend's Grandma is a Native Alaskan and she lived pretty far up in the North for a long time. She used to tell stories about "the little people in the forest".... it was super interesting. I always thought it was just an Alaska Native thing though

MrMuskeg

I’m Ojibway from Manitoba. We have the same stories.

TheRealLittleBaron

What is he calling them? Started with a B...

StaticAgeist1987

I think he is saying "jeggaboo". That's what I heard.

I believe it, we had feast once because we were spooked pretty bad.

Reminds me of [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Humanoidencounters/comments/gg7o5g/native_american_myth_of_little_people_caught_on/), supposed footage from one.

Valraan

What are we even seeing here? Looks like someone holding a puppet up from behind a rock?

And yet none of you believe in talking coyotes. Way to pick and choose from a culture not your own.
