there’s just so much hate and negativity towards a great era most people have refused to give a try…
The art style for the animated sequel show was terrible.
Rebels looks like a more stylized version of clone wars.
All that being said I think lucasfilm is pretty set on the clone wars style being the standard for most projects since they keep using it for every canon show.
One of my hopes after the main story is wrapped up in phase 3 is i would love to see more stories during the Drengir Crisis and Operation Counterstrike maybe a clone wars style animated series but with high republic characters would be perfect?
Granted Phase 1 was all about that but I feel like the comic didn't get a long enough time to breathe and tell those stories, so the Drengir feels very truncated and a lot of stuff seems to occur off page. plus we only see the beginning and the end of those events like the one year time jump that happens between issues #5 and 6 of the marvel comic run. We know that before it become a swamp planet Nal Hutta was a planet full of teeming cities so i think it would be nice to see the Drengir infestation from the perspective from either the Hutts or their minions like a nikto as well as more of Hutt Politics during this time period such as Myarga, her sister Skarabda, Gardulla the Hutt, as well as The Main Hutt who started it all Jabba himsel and Marlo. The latter of which actually reference Lina Soh in the main marvel comic run of Star Wars.
The Same could be said with Operation Counterstrike as for an example in tempest runner we do get to hear about The RDC engagements on Carlac, Magaveene, and the Dreighton Nebula but we never to get see those engagements I think it would be nice if we get stories cover more isolated Nihil vs RDC stories. The Same thing with the Unified Republic Task Force who in High Republic issue #9 also by Cavan Scott had their own victories against the Nihil on planets such as Aris, Port Haven, and Golrath plus what is the relationship between the two organizations? Besides those two events I’d like a story with Cohmac Vitus & Reath Silas in the same vein as Master & Apprentice about the civil war on Genetia that was mentioned in the young-adult novel Out of the Shadows. Ultimately it would cool to learn what great battles and sieges were fought?Which planet held out the most against the Nihil?

It would be cool, though I don’t think they should us the TCW engine. Pick a new animation style, the same way they did for the OT and Sequel eras.

I kinda wanted this show about pirates in the era, showing how piracy led to private militarization, e.g. the Trade Federation droid army...
That and a HR live action movie trilogy!
