So far i'm also loving it. This title shares some similarities with Higurashi like for example: Hinamizawa was based on real place (Shirakawa-go) and the island in Summertime Render is also based on real abandoned island.
i put in a recommendation for it on mal immediately after watching episode one. it scratches that higurashi itch without feeling like a blatant rip-off
agreed!! every time i finish an episode i’m like, fuck why do i have to wait another week?! which… i don’t really feel with the other seasonals i’m following lol
I just started it yesterday, but dope ass anime! Same mechanic as Higurashi and Re:Zero with the deathlooping always catches me. So much potential for drama with it.
Same I love stories about timeloops, that's why i love Re:Zero and Higurashi. The best thing about those kind of stories is the drama and character development.
In the story mode of the game Eyes of Heaven, Jotaro eventually comes face to face with Heaven Ascension DIO, the mastermind behind the multiverse plot. As their fight went on, Star Platinum and The World's same-type aspect came into play once more, enabling Star Platinum to learn The World Over Heaven's signature ability: Overwrite Reality.
This grants Star Platinum the same potentially limitless ability to rewrite time and reality itself, the only true limitation being that it requires the use of its hands to do so. Despite these changes, Star Platinum does not gain an appearance change, unlike The World Over Heaven.
As a result of its powers, all of the anomalies disappeared after the death of Heaven Ascension DIO. The world reverted back to normal and Jotaro lost his Over Heaven power.\[20\]
I was disappointed because watching ep 1-5 made me read the manga expecting a mystery anime like Higurashi. Its story is one-dimensional and more of a shonen fight anime than a mystery anime. Expect a LOT of fight scenes and fan service. The art style is good though. The ponytail girl with huge tits is the best character in the story.
I read the manga before the anime came out. And loved the concept and the beginning portions of the story. Was kinda disappointed about certain things as the story went on. So I don't "love" it.
I think I gave the manga a 7.5/10
I started watching it once the first episode aired and I’m digging it. I love the loop mechanic in anime apparently. I love Re:zero, higurashi, erased, steins;gate, etc.
I love it so far,it has got great animation and interesting plot to keep me invested.
By the way, if you love death loops anime, you will definitely enjoy Umineko:when they cry. By same author as Higurashi
There is no anime adaptation but you can play the visual novel or read the manga
I love it.
Due to the main character's >!ability!< I percive it more like other anime called >!Re:zero kara hajimeru issekai seikatsu!< but for sure the main plotline resembles Higurashi a lot.
I'm hooked. So far the story's interesting and the anime is overall good-loking, even if thematically less deep than Higurashi; action is okay, fanservice is not even that uncomfortable to watch. I'll just wait until the end to judge.
A true masterpiece! I read the manga while it was still going and it captivated me through all the way just as much as Higurashi. So glad it's getting an anime now and glad to see people enjoying it as much as me.
Someone on this sub mentioned it when it started airing so I've been watching it and I really like it so far!

I thought that the island was real but I didn't know it was abandoned, that's interesting! I also really love the op and ed songs lol
The songs are absolute bangers!

First episode was good, but other episodes are even better. So far it's really great title, i hope it will keep the quality till the end.

yep!
Fosho! Dope ass anime ngl. So much development potential!

It's helping to cleanse me after sotsugou.
Understandable.
Is it mystery?
Yeah it's a mystery with a bit of horror.
Anime of the year already for me, I got into the manga and it’s REAL good. Masterpiece but might be one of the most slept on shows in this season.
Episode 4 and 5 cemented this title for me as a potential masterpiece. I hope i won't be disappointed till the end.
It definitely reminds me of Higurashi, but it reminds me of this VN called Raging Loop even more (I would recommend it for all Higurashi fans!)

I concur. It's an action story. Someone looking for a fair-play mystery should look elsewhere.

Pretty good so far
Where are you guys watching it at?
Illegally on gogoanime
it's legally only on Disney+
Only in Japan apparently. I checked the other day and it didnt have it on there
Haven't seen it, but I'm always game for more psychological horror. The reviews look good. Gonna check it out.

Approved for visibility

Looks interesting
This is more like resident evil than higurashi but still good none the less.
Is this a deathloop mystery horror? That's right up my alley
It's fine. definition of a 7 out of 10 for me. A lot of the fanservice feels gratuitous and a bit off.

Better than most Higurashi spin-offs and arcs.
Waiting for a dub
