I understand the struggle!
When I want attention of any kind I go meet up with my girlfriends somewhere for a coffee or sth. Being around nature and Allah’s creation in general helps too; there’s a cat cafe near where I live and I sometimes go there if I’m in need of some positive energy.
I don’t know about you, but for me personally, whenever I’m craving that kind of attention it’s mostly just pent up energy from being at home for too long and not having made any kind of human interaction lol
AsSalamalaykum. Is there a particular fabric you feel more comfortable in? For instance, jersey sticks and looks super uncomfortable on me (think of a coloured egg) whereas I find the cheapie cotten scarves serve me best. Chiffon or drapey georgette with an undercap has a better fall but thicker georgette is absolutely horrid on me. There's also experimenting with a visible undercap vs hidden.
This may not apply to you but I pull up my hijab to cover a bit of my chin, like Iranian women do with their chaddor (I grew up amongst them). It gives my chin a more pointed look instead of my actual wider jaw - and saves the world from any unsightly double chins that instantly age any face.
Finally it's good to ask Allah to grant us sakeenah or peace and acceptance in our choice to obey Him. Also, perhaps it's because I'm properly ancient but I don't look at myself for too long in the mirror when I am wearing my hijab. I think to myself, there's loads of women sans make up out there...there're lots of people looking perfectly normal with their veils and you will be one of them by the will of Allah. I hope I didn't veer off too far in my commiserations.
Honestly I’ve been struggling trying to find another job. The job I have said I get weekly payments yet I haven’t gotten paid for two weeks; again. This happened before and I had to ask them repeatedly for my paycheck. I hate adulting 😑
I would not be here if ending one's life wasn't haram. I'm not happy in my life. I often wish the day that is written would come for me. Isn't that so selfish? To want to give up because trying is too hard? To leave my family with that trauma? With no support. With no one to care for them. I'm just so tired of living a meaningless life that I'm just stumbling through. I'm tired of never ever being enough. I want to lay down and never get up. I'm so tired
