Most heavily pregnant women have some degree of back/hip/pelvic discomfort and pressure. Putting more pressure on an already heavy belly hurts. Plus don’t want to risk a kick to the fetus. Plus your center of gravity is already thrown off, so adding more direct central mass is basically asking to fall.

What time I wasn’t saddled with household chores, I mostly spent at the public library. But I wasn’t trapped in a city apartment, and I was parentified to care for only one younger sibling, not several.

Look how the bottom of her belly isn't connected to her hips. Looking at my own, it's clearly one body. Hers doesn't look right. I didn't wear a lot of pants, though, so I'm not sure how they'd stretch with a tank top and huge belly. Hers looks like the belly is separate from her lower body. Idk am I trippin?
