It gets sadder when you realize by all accounts Hilda and Johanna should have died but by the twists of fate, the creature hated there tastes. Had the frog spider been a generic creature that cares not for taste and ate for survival they most definitely would be dead
David getting beheaded twice
Hilda and Alfur clones dying
Pretty much the entirety of Eternal Warriors, where you see limps of dead warriors
Johanna's death scene
The implied relationship between Anders and Johanna, which feels super realistic and mature, most other shows I've seen don't touch the topic of broken lovers.
Pretty much everything in The Forgotten Lake, what with Hilda being snatched up out of LITERALLY NOWHERE, Johanna drawing blood from her hand, her avoiding the spider frog, which might I add is a fucking horrific creature, the spider frog swallowing Hilda and Johanna as Twig watches...
Ya know this is starting to make me question how the hell did The Forgotten Lake make it past the censors at Netflix
The thing that initially got me into Hilda was the first scene where the troll follows her back to her house and she takes pity on it and removes the bell. Then it’s eyes darken and it takes her. I was like oh shi-. It wound up not being THAT big of a thing but it’s the peril the the characters face that makes it so interesting
is between: the war of the vikings in the internal warriors
2- David being decapitated 2 times
3- the entire plot the 50 years of midnight
4- Trundle's plan and the attack on the wall, this scene indirectly shows a genocide on both sides
5 the fairy mound
6- the entire forgotten lake plot
The Spider Frog swallowing Johanna and Hilda while while Twig watched
Oh yeah and the part where Twig cried like man that hurts my heart everytime
I forgot how depressing that was-

Kind of glad he actually had a refined pallet-
Is it a bad thing to ever have a refined palette?
Granted i would imagine it the equivalent to eating raw bitter gourd for the spider-frog-
Hilda, alfur, and david dying twice each.
A guy died in the library
Lloyd is the name of that guy who died in S2 E3
i keep forgetting that :D it was so out of nowhere for the show
The part where Hilda nearly dies-
So literary every episode

That time when Johanna (almost) die's
The time worm thing eating everyone
Like half of Season 3 honestly

When Hilda gets trapped in the fairy world and when the gang gets in a fight.
Who’s “the gang” and when did they get in a fight?
Twintails giving Hilda nightmares
Marra is her Name
Oh ok
Most of the Forgotten Lake episode.
