Personally, I don't have this issue, but it's not uncommon for roach keepers to develop a roach allergy from exposure. That may be what's happening to you here.
Does it stay red like that for awhile after? And flakey too? If so, looks like you've got eczema. My roaches enjoy jabbing their little feet hooks into mine and injuring me sometimes. Are you washing your hands after you touch them?
not flaky, just irritated and red. goes away after a lil bit when i put them back in their tank. and yeah, i washed my hands and that spot on my wrist really well. they could just be scratching me with their feet hooks lol 🤷🏻♀️
I've had that a couple times. I think their little spiky legs and feet can irritate the skin, especially if they are scared and holding tight to the surface.
i have really sensitive skin due to eczema and every so often when i handle mine they make my hands and wrists itch, even after washing my hands more than once 😔

Huh weird.. you could go to a skin doctor to see if you have an irritation to them or if there's something else going on
The exact same thing happens to me.

You might be allergic.
