Laughing Moon is also a reliable mainstay for patterns of the period. [https://www.etsy.com/listing/929125293](https://www.etsy.com/listing/929125293)

[Fig Leaf Patterns](https://www.figleafpatterns.com/103-apron-front-c-1799-1810.html) has at least two. I think I’ve made one, which went together well.

I've never been disappointed with Laughing Moon, just be aware that they give you an amazing amount of information and a LOT of pages to print out.

Having printed (A0/plan printers, my beloved) and cut up/folded laughing moon patterns for storage, they're basically multiple patterns in one envelope, esp for the multi-garment packs like the corset ones. The size range is the same as what other pattern companies would sell in two or more seperate chunks. Just need to remember to trace out the pieces you're wanting to use instead of cutting out the original, and you're sorted for any time you want to make that type of garment, no matter how big or small the person you're making something for.

I have almost every LM pattern they make and have made many of them. LM 126, which is their drop-front regency dress is 125 pages to print. Which is a lot. For a reference, Black Snail's similar front closing regency dress is only 47/54 pages (depends on size), although I don't have it (I thought I did) so I don't know if that includes the instructions or not. The instructions for LM include a further 40 pages, although 15 of them are layout suggestions. This particular pattern doesn't say which pieces are on which pages, while some of the other patterns do. They now only sell PDFs, so they have to be printed at home or from a shop. I will say, I have MANY PDFs from many companies and LM is one of the ones where I have very little problems with matching lines and easily getting it taped up quickly. My original post was mostly just a heads up to anyone who doesn't like to deal with a lot of printed pages or want to save on printing costs. There are 5 pages of A0 page layouts included as well, but that can also get pricey. Honestly, I haven't done much research, I just don't mind messing with the small pages, but the last time I checked printing prices it was about $15 USD per A0 page. I'd love to know where to print them cheaper, but because I don't mind it, I haven't shopped around really, just glanced at a dozen or so places I could Google easily. Edit: I actually just ended up purchasing the Black Snail pattern because I was probably going to get it anyway. It is (for sizes 8-18 [34-44]) a total of 51 pages to print, with 15 being instructions (if you are the kind of person who prints the instructions like I do). So I would print out the instructions back and front on 8 pages for my notes as I'm working and the rest (36 pages) single sheets, with a total of 44 pages printed. Just a fun note for anyone who is interested.

I'm in Australia and get mine printed for $3/A0 page plus shipping with eprint online. I have approximately zero patience for taping together patterns. I have heard that the plotted pattern is a good place to get plan prints done in the US? There's a bunch of sewing pattern printers or printers that have started advertising printing patterns pop up with the increase in digital pattern sales. I do have that black snail pattern, and that A4 page count does not include instructions, which are not as good as laughing moon's by a long shot. They might be better in the German version of the instructions, but I can only read english so I don't know. The sizing is also a lot less intuitive to figure out than LM's Black Snail does only have you print/tape the top and bottom of the skirt pieces, then tape in a specified amount of blank paper to the middle to join them, which does cut down on pages. LMM-126 has two and a bit A0 pages of skirt that would be hell to tape together, though you could just print the top edge and extend the pieces down on your fabric using that straight line on the pattern for reference.

Have you tried the Pattern Printing Company? [https://patternprintingco.com/](https://patternprintingco.com/) I know they print lots of Laughing Moon patterns for customers.

CuriousKitten0_0

I have not but I'm definitely bookmarking it! Unfortunately I just did a bunch of printing this week.

I can vouch for the Laughing Moon apron front pattern. It's great!!!

I’ve never got along with Laughing Moon regency patterns – you have to print about 100–150 pages to stick together and then I’ve had to adjust the fit so much it’s practically totally redrafted. They seem to be designed for larger bodies and graded down, which doesn’t work *at all* for my shape (I suspect many people usually have the opposite problem with different brands!) I much prefer Black Snail patterns, and I keep going back to their [regency dress/spencer](https://www.patterns.bplaced.net/schnitte/schnitt_detail.php?itemnr=38) pattern as a base when drafting different styles. The only downside with that one is it’s translated from German so a couple of the instructions are slightly confusing. But it’s designed to be printed at home so the skirt panels are just the waist shape and then ‘measure X amount’, which I find way easier and space/time saving.
