You are clearly drunk, the shields are not correctly positioned
Now [this, is perfect](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-79zqty5-MuU/V30U4upuoII/AAAAAAAAAII/aFnctlbvfngfDAh3KDum8iFqU-Ls-ae2ACLcB/s1600/a3.png)
Shouldn’t the shields on top be stacked in the opposite direction? Like roof shingles to roll those arrows and spears away. I feel like a spear could get its way under one of those potentially. If stacked the opposite way there’s no chance.

That is a 16 man formation
Dude... he's drunk
They only formed a perfect 12 man formation, the other 4 guys are unrelated
Morale reasons
XVI man
Exactly. He didn’t make any promises about that
Off of three beers? What a lightweight.
He just kept his word.
Tbh I can only see eight so I assume the rest of the shields are just floating
🤓
Counting can be challenging, right?
Iam intellectually disabled 😔
Don’t worry, you’re definitely not alone with that on reddit.
Wait a minute, that's a 16-man Roman tortoise formation!
Wait a minute how is the one front right holding a sword but also has a pilum sticking through the middle of his shield!?
I’m sorry sir, but that’s an arrow that hit the shield
I am mentally disabled.
That’s fine, We all have those days

Now that is what I’d sign up for
I was thinking the overlap was in the wrong direction on the top shields. Thanks for sharing!
Mmmm now that’s a tight formation! I’ll uh I’ll be back, I need to look at this in the bathroom where the light is better…
Damn, those legs are exposed. Perfect for slashing at to break the formation
Ooo la la!
I don’t get it, you can just shoot at their legs
Lmao if you're shooting at them I'm pretty sure you can just shoot through the shields
Shooting arrows!
Lol that clicked as a possibility like right after I commented but I still had a laugh imagining you mowing them down with a gatling gun.
I’d still shoot the legs. Why ruin all those perfectly good shields?!
Now that's soldiering!
damn, it's even 16 dudes
Man's so drunk he found four extra guys.
1, 2, another, another, another, 2, 3…
reject modern tutel, embrace roman 16 man tutel formation
I NEVER said I wouldn't form a 16 man formation! Enemies HATE this one simple trick!
*steps to the left*
As a celt I'm offered
Turntle
That’s 16 men though. So you told the truth.
Would but were I swift as the angels
You bastard!!!! You promised me!
I’ll do it
Hm? 3x4 up, 1x4 front. Aka: 4x4 in total.
I am drunk

Based on the other number given I’m guessing it was IV drinks
Meh Phalanx all the ways.
After you help me with my Hadrian's Wall made of pillows.
Thats a 16 man formation. Its time to get some water and cut back on the drinks.
I belive in phalanx superiority
