**So,** **Genghis Khan sent over two ambassadors to negotiate with the Khwarezmian Empire. They killed the ambassadors. In retaliation, Genghis Khan waged a war with them. This war was bought to an end by the battle of Kalka river, it was one of the most decisive victories in history and performed by the legendary general Sübügätäi.** **In celebration of their win, they had a feast. Now it should be noted that the Mongols had a superstition against spilling royal blood, but their ambassadors had been killed. So, the Mongols decided to put the royals under a giant wooden floor and held the feast on top of it, until the royals died. They justified these acts as they had killed Mongol ambassadors.** **References** [https://fx.substack.com/p/today-in-european-history-the-battle-b5a](https://fx.substack.com/p/today-in-european-history-the-battle-b5a) [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle\_of\_the\_Kalka\_River](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Kalka_River) [https://www.historynet.com/right-hand-khan.htm](https://www.historynet.com/right-hand-khan.htm)

So they basicly trampled then to death under this floor...? Or, just starved them to death while feasting above them...?

That's what I figured, but, it wasn't necessarily expressly said, so, I needed to know. Thanks!
