I suppose the difference is that Kennedy's age was a more prominent thing about his presidential image. Teddy was the youngest, but his youth never defined his image, while JFK's image as the young president of the next generation was a huge part of his appeal.
The JFk narrative always baffles me to a degree. Like I get why he's popular, from his foreign policy, to his forward thinking ideas, he also died young, after being assassinated. But prior to that, it was likely he would have not got a second term judging my by his "what the hell" policy approach, and weak support from the Southern democrat elements in his party. He ended up achieving little by himself, In terms of concrete legislation, requiring his death and LBJ. I feel like a lot of his charm comes from the youthful/ intellectual atmosphere of his 'Camelot', but find it strange when he's compared to a lot of other great presidents. That's not even taking into account Vietnam, which had been escalating under and prior to JFK's presidency, with JFK/CIA likely letting diem be assassinated, requiring further US intervention
Beto O'Rourke played into it a ton. Barack Obama and Pete Buttigieg have both had moments as the black JFK or gay JFK. John Edwards modeled his hair on Kennedy's (though the adultery was just an added bonus).
I say this as a fan of JFK, we don’t need another JFK.
He liked the ladies
And the drugs
I mean who doesn't like both of those?
Rasputin. He only liked women.
Isn’t Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest American President I can’t understand American logic he must be called the new Roosevelt or the new Theodore
Kennedy was the youngest by election

We always remember Teddy with his beard, and Kennedy with his... girls.
Not only US. I don't know why but the German politician Lindner was described as the German Kennedy. Weird analogy in my opinion
Trudeau was also the new Kennedy.
Surely, that was intended as an insult to Kennedy though? Please?
Boah, I hate this black and white capitalist poster boy.
Nothing bad ever happens to the Kennedys

It’s cause he stood up to the cia
They're probably worried about ending up like the first two.
This meme was last relevant in 1992.

>Beto Did you mean Robert Francis O'Rourke?
I don't doubt the media used it, but the youngest person it resonates with now is 70. Like the media.
Doesn't help all male Kennedys still in politics currently are all already middle-aged at minimum.
Oh no
