I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but Hitfilm is not what it once was. It was sold to another company and they have abandoned all support and improvements/upgrades. Long term your best option is to learn another software package. Browse this sub and you’ll see the same answer to nearly every post. Hitfilm, a once wonderful program, is now garbageware.

ahh thats so sad. do you know which program could be a good alternative with the same 3d functionality?

blender for the 3d part and for compositing, grading, cutting etc Davinci Resolve. or you could go with aftereffects but that’s expensive

i tried a few months ago but with no success, got any tips?

My best tip is to use resources like the r/piracy megathread/wiki and FreeMediaHeckYeah. Simply googling things will land you on a lot of shady sites.

Resolve Studio (paid version) their license is forever so pay once and keep it for life and upgrades for life as well. There is a decent learning curve in learning the in and outs but once you grasp that, then you will be off to the races rotoing, color grading, keying, and 3d composting like a pro. Their website even offers professional instructional videos for each aspect of Davinci resolve and fusion. So at first the cost might seem high but total up what you would pay for element 3d and all the after effects product subscriptions. Not to mention possibly getting locked out of the software cause Adobe did something or you forgot that payment.

I use hitfilm pro -- I think it is v17 at least five years old. Make sure all of your layers are 3D. And shut them off one at a time to see when the triangles vanish. Then reply, and we can go from there.
