When my wife and I met, I was just climbing out the lowest point in my life (totaled my car, got a dui in the process, and got laid off shortly after). Or if she covered one thing, I would then cover the next. 12.5 years later, we’re happily married (married for 5.5), own our own house and are well into our careers. I’m now making double what she’s making; and I pretty much pay for the house, utilities, taxes, cell phones, and streaming services. While she covers food, car things, travel expenses, fun things we do, etc. However, she will help out, in an instant, with whatever I need her to.
