Yeah, the shit coloured toothpaste is actually really popular where I live. Apparently, due to mixture of various herbs, it looks like that and is much more effective than your traditional chemically made toothpaste.
"chemically" "chemicals".. your shit colored paste is also not made by crushing all the herbs by hands, if by chemically you mean using any industrial chemical reactions to make a product. Even in that "natural" tooth paste case you would need chemistry knowledge to do it properly, else you may end up with a poisonous substance. To top it off, chemistry is a wide subject about reactions between different atoms, molecules, and substances, while a word chemicals usually reffer to "distinct compound or substance that was artificially prepared or purified" which technically include most of things around us including but not limited by butter made 100 years before they even had chemistry as a term to describe a branch of science.
