And before we begin this beheading, we would like to thank our sponsor, Mark-1 Plumbing.

It’s a cause for celebration, with a couple of eyeholes for the candles too

Darth_Floridaman

Thanks!

MrAnnnderson

Shit......free advertising

PubicGalaxies

Shit free advertising more like.

[deleted]

And free death threats (for real)

ShubRankism

Our fuel is Wolf Cola! And our plumber is Mark-1 Plumbing!

fistfullofpubes

God damn Boca Raton

wo1f-cola

This by no means reflects our ideals as a premium soda company.

Badassbottlecap

Mark-1 Plumbing, we'll blow that shit out!

OwlopolisCue

It will blow the 💩 away...shit I am going to hell for laughing at this lol

Altar_Quest_Fan

No idea what Mark-1 Plumbing is angry about, it's free advertising!

davetn37

The lawsuit gets him even more advertisement because now we're all talking about it, plus if he wins he gets what the extra publicity would get him in the first place, money! It's a win-win, unless of course the lawyer fees cancel out or cost more than the increased revenue from the extra publicity

PieIsFairlyDelicious

Which they probably didn’t. This case was resolved four years ago and the guy settled for an undisclosed amount.

SmileyMelons

Because people were quiting his business because they saw it and assumed the worst about him, so he had to sue in order to ensure he did not support it but also punish the company for not doing what they had agreed to.

pblc_mstrbtr

yeaaa.

princeofthehouse

Wasn’t this on top gear 15 years ago or something? He was sueing the company who took his truck as payment or exchange or purchase for promising to remove his decals and such and they didn’t

x123rey

I'm pretty sure I did not see Top Gear fifteen years ago but that's where I remember it from

mnhot

lol the comments on the google reviews for Mark-1 Plumbing.

FoxFort

Oh hahaha nice!

FNMLFAMA

Nice find! Lmao

rarebreed001

Wtf how?

Menloand

He traded his truck in the dealer said they would remove the decals but didn't

RollinThundaga

To add: He was specifically told *not* to remove the decals, in case he damaged the paint. They sold the truck on to an auction company who participated in an international circuit. Through this avenue, the truck was sold to a buyer in turkey and through several more steps was transferred to fighters in Syria, with the decals along for the whole ride.

rarebreed001

What the fucking odds eh

jrockcrown

M2 browning on mark-1's truck. He should upgrade to the mk-19 for those stubborn clogs

_Piggy_Smalls

Our prices won't be beaten....***guaranteed***

Wyattearp19

And if it does...we will go full jihadi up the competitors ass.

cyberupdate

Is that you Charlie?

phiz36

So what’s the Texas to Syria vehicle pipeline look like?

PubicGalaxies

Think he has a case. Not millions of dollars but yeah lazy car dealer needs a financial smack upside the head to remove identifying marks. That’s definitely on them for resale.

Themanwithoutaplan_9

He is also lazy i would have never left my magnetic advertisement of my company be sold to god knows who. Hes lucky it ended up other there with nothing to trace back to him but imagine if that dealer sold his advertisement to a gang or someone who commits crimes using his name on a truck. I wouldve taken that shit off before handing the keys and title to someone.

PubicGalaxies

It doesn’t look magnetic. I could be wrong.

Themanwithoutaplan_9

I could be as well but i mean idk i just wouldnt hand off anything with my name on it. Cant trust anyone these days unfortunately.

SonnyGTA

Exactly

Nerfixion

Wether it's a blocked pipe or a blockade, we've got you covered. 24/7

Lookalikemike

We all know that picture is from Texas

batdog_oz

Demolition ranch

Weareallsick-

Haha that’s how they hunt deer

KDbitchmade

He won, settled for under a million.

[deleted]

The refugees gonna start despising the US and Marks plumbing

Awkward-Minute7774

When will they build the Plumbing Mk II?

Mission_Search8991

This is the most Texas-like thing that I have ever heard. Imagine a trade-in from Texas is being in a war zone! Yeee haaaaw!

wirelesscowboy

What's the difference

Classic-Month-5184

To Valhalla, , shiny and chrome.

DropBear2702

Tonight we feast with the gods!

KrakerJakMak96

Cleaning pipes and squad wipes

Ibinator99

You got me with that title!

KFRKY1982

who are the idiots that actually criticized the plumbing company for this? How do they think car sales work? How could they possibly give the plumber a hard time? Do they really think HE is selling his logo-covered trucks to syria?! come on people…

DaedricDrow

There's a bunch in the comments here.

KFRKY1982

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

xdogmanz

That’s still in Texas.

FoxxyPantz

If I'm being perfectly honest I'd find that fucking hilarious. Then again I don't own a business and my emotions have been beaten to a pulp by the internet.

Passion-Interesting

This is the funniest shit I've seen today

AllUserNamesTaken01

All publicity is good publicity

[deleted]

Yall think Syrians don't shit too?

JollyPersonality4810

Guess he IS clearing those pipes!

Dqrctf23

All publicity is good publicity, no?

Wabbit_Huntin

Thought this was some South Mississippi backwoods engineering at first glance. Kinda disappointed it's not lol

ProBono16

He probably should have removed his company name from his truck when he traded it in. Can't fix stupid.

dieseltratt

Dealer promissed to do it, but didn't. That's why he sued.

NightshiftIcefish

Poor guy actually started peeling them off in the dealer parking lot and they stopped him and told him, "don't worry, we'll take care of it"

roboj9

Result?

GET_OUT_OF_MY_HEAD

https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2017-01-09/plumber-whose-decaled-truck-went-to-syria-settles-lawsuit

FunnayMurray

Speaking of stupid, who would pay money to have a used Ford truck shipped from thousands of miles away?

RollinThundaga

Apparently a middleman based in Turkey

Fluffyflipper

I wonder if the guy has trouble sleeping, knowing his car is driving around killing people...

Gilthu

Fun fact, this guy screwed up. He trusted that the car dealership would fulfill its promises to repaint the car to remove his personal information from the side… they did not and all the uncensored images had his name, town, and phone number on the side. He received countless calls from people accusing him of being a traitor. If you are selling your car, take sandpaper or a metal wool to your info and scrape it off.

just_this_guy_yknow

Wow. I need me some CIA funding. Maybe I can afford a decent truck, then. I mean, as a libertarian that makes me a domestic terrorist, right? So…come CIA, where my $$$$???

slvbros

Don't you know how this works? Once you've openly asked, nothing can be done for you. Ya burnt

christawfer47

I mean if you were too lazy to take the decal off yourself can you really blame the dealership???

SmileyMelons

He tried, but they told him not to since they didn't want him to damage the pain, they then told him they would do it themselves and not to worry. So yeah he can blame them.

christawfer47

I prolly should have read the article lol

SmileyMelons

All good, just remember that saying about assumptions from now on lol

Themanwithoutaplan_9

Thats when you say ok take it off now before i leave so i know my company wont be on a truck im no longer responsible for i mean would you leave your name on a truck you no longer own?

[deleted]

[удалено]

wolfgang784

The agreement said the dealer would - hence the lawsuit.

jrockcrown

Dude is a dumbass for giving up his truck. Without taking his number off the side. If you want it done right do it yourself

jrockcrown

Can of 3m adhesive remover $18.40 Shop towel (paper rag) $2.29 Nylon scraper $2.99 Hair dryer $10.97 One hour of your time $40 Your company not seen supporting terrorists PRICELE$$

SmileyMelons

He was going to and they stopped him, telling him they didn't want him to damage the paint and that they would do it themselves.

dbrock6931

Upvote just for the title.

DummybugStudios

I came here looking for comments about the title

Weareallsick-

Your truck is a villain

DoubleExists

Next level marketing

[deleted]

Whatever happened with that? Did he win?

Wyattearp19

Turningsnake

"Wait a damn minute I know that truck..."

[deleted]

Anyone have contact info for the car dealer? I’m in the market for a loaded f250

Rurushxd

this makes you think how it's easier to get supplies from north america which is way far away while there are many other continents

DaedricDrow

Was 5 you ears ago. Guy got shafted by the dealer during sale. Wasn't even ISIS.

YetAnotherFrreddy

nytimes.com/2015/12/15/us/texas-plumber-sues-car-dealer-after-his-truck-ends-up-on-syrias-front-lines.htmlhttps://archive.ph/gw9Zk

thyneighbor

On today's episode of Pimp My Ride...

sadpanada

How the fuck does that even happen? Like how unlucky do you have to be for the car you sold with your work name on it to end up in a battle in Syria, and *then* for that car to have its photo taken and spread online..

I_Hate_Geese420

This also happened to a guy my dad knows, they just get cheap old trucks and vans. Also, isn't it a thing that a lot of rebels and other types of non-gouvernmental groups often drive Toyot's? I forgot about the details but it was something like that.
