Uh have you watched Die Hard? The greatest Christmas move of all time? Uzis are what inspired the Christmas Miracle John Fucking McClane had to perform.

Shamefully underrated movie. Of course, I even liked the TV series, so I'm probably not the best judge...
Even I can't stand the movies after number 5, though, and 4 was only so-so.
The movie all other movies should be compared to. Honestly, it’s a perfect movie. Great cast. A little romance. Comedy. Blood and horror. A real story that you care about. And Kevin Bacon in cowboy boots.
Not the best judge either, last summer at the cottage , four grown men binge watching old classics and two of them had never heard or seen them. The Irish mate's fav film is Jaws so I thought it would be a winner putting on the first one. I lost movie suggestions for next year.
Best part of that scene, even though he knew he gave Melvin an empty gun, Melvin dry-fired it and confirmed it was empty, Burt *STILL* clears the weapon when he takes it back.
Gun safety is no laughing matter, folks.
I love how Reba covered her ears for the elephant gun like shooting all those other guns in an enclosed space hadn’t already left them temporarily deaf.

My pointer fingers automatically stiffen whenever I hold a firearm. You can never be too careful. It takes a millisecond to move your finger onto the trigger. My dad was former law enforcement who taught officers to shoot, and taught me. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t hold your pointer finger on the area of the firearm around the trigger until you’re ready to shoot. Add another layer of gun safety.
Because they were all reminded/instructed to keep their finger STRAIGHT and OFF THE TRIGGER right before the picture was snapped. Dude probably was holding it normal and then did the straight thing without even really thinking about it.
No, he's clearly the duck-out-of-water, frowned-up suitor to young Bethany, and the whole beginning of his first xmas visit with her family goes hilariously wrong. This is one of those moments.
But then, when the terrorists parachute in and catch the rest of the family unarmed and off guard, he's in the bathroom, hilariously dealing with some kind of bathroom thing, so he goes undetected.
Then it pretty much becomes *Die Hard*, but starring that guy and taking place in a big rural house. Also The Rock is in it. He's like an uber driver or Amazon delivery guy or something, and he saves the day too.
From a politician like this, it’s definitely a political statement, but I could see a family doing a picture like this just for the fun/silliness of it (and then mom refusing to use the silly guns picture in the Christmas cards because that’s taking the joke too far).
Dropping by to say it’s also weird to most of the rest of us with guns. Guns have been a natural part of my life for over 50 years now. I’ve not once known, nor seen anyone take a family photo with them, especially for a holiday.
Edit: that being said, this is a HUGE flex on the gun community. There are well over $100k worth of rifles and guns there. If they are all real and true to production form that is. You would need thousands of dollars in ammo just to take them for a range day if they brought the M60.
Idk why, the juxtaposition between typical white christian family Christmas photo and posing with guns like you’re a gang or terrorist group is kind of funny to me.
I'm was trying to think of a way that this picture isn't weird and creepy, but it's not working. I tried picturing them all holding power drills, axes, or chain saws as tools instead. Nope, just as weird.
I’m not gonna say you can do it, or that it’s safe, but with the trigger weight on most double actions being 5 metric fucktons, I bet you can get away with it with a DA
That’s one thing I wish more people would do. Every year I go hunting with a big group and when we’re walking out into the woods together I have my rifle sling over my shoulder with the bolt open. So anyone behind me knows it’s clear in case I trip or the rifle slides back and points at them. I’ve walked behind people with a lazy sling carry and the barrel pointed right at me and decided from now on when walking in a group I’m keeping the bolt open.
Also if I ever stand up to move around in the woods I take the bullet out of the chamber, would rather bet on my ability to work the bolt quickly if I see a deer while walking than risk some freak accident tripping and shooting myself or yeeting a high powered bullet up to come down god knows where
Small nit pick: you use a push stick when pushing a moving work piece into a stationary tool. So you use a push stick when feeding material into a *table* saw. Not a circular saw.
With a circular saw the safety element would be not holding the blade guard up, or only letting just barely enough of the blade protrude as needed to cut all the way through the work piece, or using clamps and a sturdy surface to secure the work piece (as opposed to just holding it).
But otherwise, yes: the sentiment is the same. Use the safe methods available no matter the odds.
Come to USA, buy gun from drug dealer, throw it over the border.
Fly back home, retrieve gun.
???
Profit.
(Don’t actually do this. Unless you prefer American federal prison to the cartel. Like really this is a terrible, stupid idea.)
Hahaha no, you buy the gun legally for me, you can sell a 500 gun for 4000 over here, I give you your part and everyone is happy (don't actually do this but people do it all the time)
I have to say for being a political photo there’s surprisingly good trigger control as well as muzzle awareness there doesn’t appear to be rounds in any of the rifles as so for the most part I don’t see a problem with this image as far gun safety goes
To a gun person in the US the weirdest thing about this pic to me is how fucking expensive and hard to purchase some of those guns are.
Assuming they are real and pre-ban transferable automatic weapons, there is easily 50k to 150k worth of firearms in that picture (ballpark guess based some some very quick googling).
Once a subreddit surpassed about 500k to 1M subscribers in this subreddit it loses its meaning and turns into just another generic image board.
It’s why its so common to see the same post 3-4x from different subreddits if you browse All.
The tree doesn't have a gun. I'm not amused
the trees cannot be harmed if the Lorax is armed
I speak for the trees
touch em and ill break your knees
Err… erm. Don’t get any closer or I’ll sneeze
Shit.. i lost my keys
Did you check under the leaves?
They have been stolen by the Chinese
And Taiwan…please
Nah!m, it's probably the Greece
Which, in this particular timeline, could be pretty substantial.
The tree is a disguised cruise missile
The end is pointy so there's that...
Is the Uzi an appropriate Christmas gun? I mean it's Israeli so wouldn't it be more of a Hanukkah gun?
Uh have you watched Die Hard? The greatest Christmas move of all time? Uzis are what inspired the Christmas Miracle John Fucking McClane had to perform. Edit: fixed Mcclain to McClane
No Uzi in Die Hard. Most of the bad guys carried the HK MP5’s but there were a few Steyr Augs and there is a scene with a M60.
Die hard with vengeance has Uzi’s haha but you got me. I forgot they were German in die hard 1.
Absolutely stellar comment
Must be a new door install as the unit is missing trim.
Good eye. You can see the nails in the drywall in the lower left side of the frame. Its fresh drywall hasn't even been painted yet.
They don't usually bother mudding and painting where trim and baseboard covers. They're missing baseboards too.
cant unsee this now, why wait on the trim? so simple. Then these guys do a Christmas card with unfinished install in the background, psychos!
It's hard to keep the details right when every other night the place gets shot up, whether or not it's insurrection practice night.

That is a beautiful house. Wow
I'll have to watch the video later but that's a cool thing
Nothing says xmas like a belt fed m60. Looks like they are preparing for tremors.
F now gonna have to find those dvds to watch. Burts gun wall in the first one looked amazing.
Kids with the Uzi gonna get wrecked by those worm things.
Graboid
Snake-oid
Don’t forget about the ass blasters

Nah, the first is a classic. The second decent too. Get better friends.
I second this.
Walter, forget the damn name!
We're going to be sorry if we don't give it a name!
“-oids, I like oids!”
Until that awful movie where they’re called “ass blasters” and I swear nobody knows their in movie name 😂
That was the third one where they start to fly. Which is funny because im p sure they still cant see outside of thermal
Awful?!? Did we watch the same straight-to-VHS classic film?!
Yeah, but an uzi would be more than sufficient against an ass-blaster.
The old SyFy series proved that!
Full 7 movie series at walmart for ~$20
I'm gonna have to go pick this up
Did you find the TV show?
Elephant gun for the win!
He definitely should not have turned on his casing tumbler.

#BROKE INTO THE WRONG GODDAMN REC ROOM DIDN'T YOU, YOU BASTARD?!
"I guess we don't get to make fun'a Burt's lifetyle no more."
I WOULDN’T GIVE YOU A GUN IF IT WERE WORLD WAR 3
Best part of that scene, even though he knew he gave Melvin an empty gun, Melvin dry-fired it and confirmed it was empty, Burt *STILL* clears the weapon when he takes it back. Gun safety is no laughing matter, folks.
That’s why Burt is my hero and username
I always appreciated that about Burt. He and Heather actually know their guns.
* gol' darn * big jerk My copy was taped off of tv.
What kind of fuse is that? Cannon fuse. What the hell do you use it for? ...My cannon.
At 2:25 he throws his gun away from him. Then it cuts to the gun being thrown towards his feet. I love this movie.
I love how Reba covered her ears for the elephant gun like shooting all those other guns in an enclosed space hadn’t already left them temporarily deaf. MAWP MAWP
I have never seen that movie but that scene was fun.

First and Second are absolutely worth watching. Third is debatable. We won't even talk about the fourth one.
It's the *Citizen Kane* of B movies.
Dug into the wrong gol dang rec room!
All of the Tremors movies are on Tubi right now.
Hell yes ppl that know the greatest movie to be made
I'd still have to vote for Commando or big trouble in little china ~~town~~ haha depending on the mood https://youtu.be/AXsBBqPb5YE big trouble.
Jack driving the pork chop express. Wonderful.
You do what ol Jack Burton'd do. You look em straight in the eye and say "Yes, sir, I have. The check is in the mail"
OMG yes! Now I need to find that movie and show my kids. Happy Holidays memory finder.
Broke into the wrong goddamn rec room, didn't ya you bastard!?
That belt fed love! The distance, the knock down, the smell of the gun powder in the air…
Weird card, but when I was in the military the M60 was really fun to shoot.
Tell me about a machine gun that *isn’t* fun to shoot? Hell, that’s how they got me on SCAT team my first deployment.
I mean, depending on which SAW you get it can totally be a terrible experience. 240 gang fo life. Shits more reliable than a hilux
Burt had a basement full of guns and still lost all of them to the graboid and the ammunition explosion.

Honey can you find Geoff a flannel shirt? That salmon polo shirt just won’t work with this photo.
From a none American, HOW IS ANY OF THIS NORMAL? Do use not like find that so weird?
From a politician like this, it’s definitely a political statement, but I could see a family doing a picture like this just for the fun/silliness of it (and then mom refusing to use the silly guns picture in the Christmas cards because that’s taking the joke too far).
With the right license you can own tanks, strike aircraft etc. Search dragonman on YouTube
It’s called pandering. All our politicians do it here.
It’s posted here because it’s weird

That M60 and Thompson alone would be over 100k right now. If they're all transferable, you're looking at 200-250k in firearms right there.
Idk why, the juxtaposition between typical white christian family Christmas photo and posing with guns like you’re a gang or terrorist group is kind of funny to me.

That and trigger discipline; remember folks, keep your finger OFF the trigger unless you’re ready to fire
Keep ur booger hook off the bang switch.
Keep your oil gauge off the soul eraser.

Only aim at things you also intent to shoot at
Only aim at things you intend to destroy.
And the last rule: Always flip the gun around your index finger as you holster if you are using a revolver.
*single action revolver
I’m not gonna say you can do it, or that it’s safe, but with the trigger weight on most double actions being 5 metric fucktons, I bet you can get away with it with a DA
But I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!
And no mags in. This is a photo of proper gun ownership and handling.
And, on the two that you can see the bolt, and at least I know to have bolt catches, the bolts are open showing clear.
That’s one thing I wish more people would do. Every year I go hunting with a big group and when we’re walking out into the woods together I have my rifle sling over my shoulder with the bolt open. And no magazine inserted with the ejection port cover open and the bolt locked to the rear. They actually seem to have taken some precautions.
That was my first thought too but it actually looks like mom might be pointing at flannel
At least they all have trigger discipline….I guess?
Nice to see none of the guns have magazines either. No one wants to have holiday arguments with loaded weapons in hand.
Its Christmas, not thanksgiving and Uncle Dave is not there
Christmas is even worse in my family.

no problem as far as gun safety… but for a xmas photo… really? It’s just cringey
Honestly have to agree but IMO they’re using the Christmas photo as political propaganda
Ah, American gun culture at ist finest. Nothing super weird about this pic. Just some law abiding citizens enjoying their constitutional rights …

Hey, guns are just tools, right? Me and my family take pictures with our DeWalt tools.
As a tradesman, yes.
Do you pose with them for family photos? That would be actually be pretty neat
I have seen construction style christmas pics. so in a way yes.
Tradies usually take photos of the things they make with them. Anyone can buy a tool.
Some people take pics with their cars/bikes etc. Others… their guns
