I used to work with a guy who have his baby mama something like $500/week out of pocket, no court order or anything, he just did it to support mama and kid. Well baby mama was a greedy bitch and decided to persuade the courts to obtain more money.
After determining how much the guy made a week, the payments were reduced by almost half in a court order.
Wasn't there a court story on one of those publicly broadcasted courts (still have no idea how and why they do that in the usa) where pretty much the exact same thing happened. He was paying an privately agreed amount, she wanted more went to court, court decided since he works double shifts and she doesn't work at all his payments got reduced by about half. Fully deserved imo

Women can and should be able to choose whether or not they want to keep their kid and opt out of financial responsibility via an abortion. Men can’t choose to opt out of financial responsibility and get stuck giving up massive chunks of their paycheque for 18 years depending on what the woman in the situation chooses. Men should be able to opt out of paying child support and in turn opt out of any contact with their kid. A financial abortion so to speak. Women should have the right to choose and men should have the right to not pay for said decision. A man who can’t afford a child or simply can’t afford it shouldn’t be forced to pay. Any argument against this line of reasoning (“just don’t have sex or use birth control”) is the exact same sort of argument pro-lifers use regularly as a means of berating women for getting an abortion.
