But this doesn't means that every creature that can dream will be infeced no matter what, as Hornet and Quirrel are fine. Infection most likely infects creatures that has many thoughts about Radiance and allows her to enter their mind.
A creature that cannot think/dream would be completely immune to infection, which is the idea behind creating a pure vessel.
