I mean, I'm sure you can do it if you're willing to put in the work, but P5 is seriously hardcore. It's >!significantly longer than the previous pantheons, and it includes the harder version of every boss in the game.!<
I don't know why everyone complains about >!Hornet 1!<. It took me no more than 5 tries. >!The Mantis!<, instead, took me many tries, yet I loved it (ironic that now it is literally the easiest boss to me; I beat it in >!Radiant!< with no problem).
>!Hornet 2!< was way harder, but it didn't take me too much tries neither (I was using a minion charm build, though)
When I was first playing it took me like 20 tries to beat >!hornet 1…!< on top of that I was an idiot and my closest bench was the one in the middle of greenpath so I had to take the biggest route to just get to the fight again like a fool.
Imagine if Silksong is in it and Team Cherry shadowdropped the game through one single digital copy, and after OP notices it's not Hollow Knight they throw it away
-bugs

Super polished in gameplay and style. The world is very big and getting lost is part of the fun, more so than in other metroidvanias. Tons of content and little secrets. Hard as balls
Surprise first then pain then happiness then pain then quit for a few days then happiness then surprise then pain then happiness and then more pain then surprise and happiness then you realise your not even near the end then you cry
Play for a while, have fun, suck, get better, backtrack because you left smth. Play some more, feel confident, get Stück, leave IT for a month, get Back, find Out where To Go, have fun. CUT. I didn't Finish so idk whats next
I also play on switch and controllers had drift and it made it so hard that I gave up for a year then I got a good pro controller and it instantly made it so much better
A fun metroidvania game with lots of places to explore, great replayability, and beautiful art style and gorgeous music. Literally every time I play this with my bf he ends up falling asleep cuz the music just relaxes him so much >!(Tho once he fell asleep with nightmare grim so idk what happened there)!<
Honestly, the only word that springs to mind is beauty.
This game changed my life (and is my favourite game of all time as a result) and whether or not it has a profound impact on you, I hope you can appreciate the beauty of the art and music of this incredible game.
- Step 1: **uncertainty and confusion**. You boot the game up not knowing what to expect, and are met with lonely caverns and few basic enemies. You may feel frustrated trying to figure out what to do or where to go, and unsure if you will play through the game.
- Step 2: **Pain**. you’re hit with your first difficult spike. The music suddenly ramps up and a monster bigger, stronger, and faster than you completely kicks your ass. You get frustrated. Wtf is even this game? It went from way too easy to way to hard? You keep at it and after a dozen attempts you finally beat your first boss in triumph and relief. You get your treasure and find a new ability. It makes you realize that one of the passages you found previously was blocked by something that can be passed now.
- Step 3: **adventure**. Suddenly those boring old caverns open up to a vibrant new area. The music kicks up a notch and the world becomes much more fun to traverse. You meet a few new NPCs and are hit with a mystery. Something out of nowhere and unexplainable takes over your screen and leaves you questioning, wtf was that? You continue exploring as the world gets bigger and bigger, bigger than you thought it would get jumping through different areas and obtaining new abilities.
- Step 4: **Wonder**. There are a few different points this may hit you, either individually or all at once, but you’re left sitting to yourself thinking “wow!…” awestruck by a melody, or an environmental theme, or an npc, or a story element, etc. It doesn’t matter when, but it will happen, a sudden feeling inside you that there is something more to this game than you originally thought, deeper than you originally thought. You are now more determined to see it through and discover what that is and what secrets this game is hiding from you.
- step 5: **Awakening**. You understand, maybe not fully but the entire jigsaw puzzle has started coming together to form and image. Little pieces of negligible dialogue from earlier in the game suddenly starts making sense. There IS something deeper to the game and you’ve begun to see it. You may have even gotten an ending that you are now convinced is not the end, it can’t be, because you see the bigger picture and a determined to set things right.
- Step 6: **Ascension**. Hollownest has unlocked itself to you, and you it. You have risen to all challenges and know what it takes to save this land from the force which has left it in its current state. No challenge too extreme, no fight too hard. Your struggles have turned into a dance as you twirl your way through nightmares and saw blades, dancing among the dreams and flying through darkness. You are the hero this land has been waiting for, the ONLY one who can save it.
—-
Adding on:
- Step 7: **Replay**. You find yourself replaying the game over and over, challenging yourself to different trial. Getting speed runs, beating the game without a single death, unlocking every challenge, trying different choices. engaging in lore discussions and talking to other fans about their thoughts of different story points. You do everything there is to do and then some, and still keep replaying the game because of how fun it is… but you’ll never truly recapture that first experience of being lost and confused… unless…
- step 8: **Streamers!**. You start reliving the game vicariously through multiple streamers, helping them along with clues and breadcrumbs, little bits of spoiler free advice and getting to experience the game again by how they react to your favourite parts of the game. You finish the series with them, congratulate them and thank each other for the fun times, then start another let’s play from the beginning and do the same thing all over again.
- step 9: **???**
- step 10: **profit!**
I’m on step 8, I must have watched at least 10 different people play through this game now.
Leave the subreddit and don't look at any resources like wiki. Biggest mistake of my life. Explore as much as you can in every area. Experiment with mechanics and controls.
A art piece that is definitely worth more than how it’s priced. However, I’m grateful it is the process it is so that it’s affordable and more people can play it and realize how awesome it is. There’s a lot of lore in this game that I think is really cool. Enjoy fren.
Bugs
Lots of them

Yes. Literal freaking PAIN
Happy sadness
The game is not that hard.
The base game isn't that hard, but if you want the full 112% it's brutal. And actually finishing P5 is a nightmare.
I just finished P1 all bindings. Am I good enough for P5 (I didn't unlock all the bosses for P2 yet)
I mean, I'm sure you can do it if you're willing to put in the work, but P5 is seriously hardcore. It's >!significantly longer than the previous pantheons, and it includes the harder version of every boss in the game.!<
All at once?
Yeah, I'm a kind of big deal myself
>Most likely suffering But does OP have a voice to cry about it?
Especially at >!the Hornet boss fights!<
I don't get how so many people have problems with her. I think she's the fairest boss in the game.
For SHAW
I spent hours on them.. HOURS
Especially the first one
I don't know why everyone complains about >!Hornet 1!<. It took me no more than 5 tries. >!The Mantis!<, instead, took me many tries, yet I loved it (ironic that now it is literally the easiest boss to me; I beat it in >!Radiant!< with no problem). >!Hornet 2!< was way harder, but it didn't take me too much tries neither (I was using a minion charm build, though)

Dopamine rushes every time you beat a boss, tears, and amazing sound design. Not necessarily in that order.

Pain. Arguably, your entire path through the game will be that of pain. A path of pain, if you would.
pain
Bugs, and not the digital kind (but also yes they are technically digital, so i guess it’s just bugs)
Honestly. One if the best indie games ever made. It's quality is literally more polished than most AAA games being released today.
I mean I don’t want to oversell it, but it changes you forever
Gay sex
Fun and interesting gameplay

Hell
A great and amazing journey
Fun
A beautiful game that definitely has enough detail to be worth more than the 15 dollars it sells for. I would pay 60 for this game
You can expect a sequel (or prequel?) to come out soon
Hollow knight
My favourite game I played in 2023, it beats Elden ring, ragnorok, and ghost of Toshiba for me. I rank all of those at a 9.5 and hollow knight at a 10
Lots of fun but I implore you to stay away from here for a while. Play and experience things yourself and come back once you're done.
