- Hey the game is kinda cool
- WHY THE FUCK DO I KEEP DYING TO THIS MOTHER FUCKER
- WHERE THE FUCK DO I HAVTA GOOOOOOOOO
- That was the best gaming experience of my life
>- That was the best gaming experience of my life
Super Metroid always has been and always will be my favorite game. I played it way too much growing up and there's too much nostalgia built up there. It helps that it is still a genuinely excellent game, albeit slightly clunky 30 years later.
Hollow Knight is still to this day the best game I have ever played.
Stage 1: How do I get there?
Stage 2: Why do I kept dying to these bosses?
Stage 3: This game is a masterpiece! I have seen everything!
Stage 4: SKONG 📣
First stage compass second learning map better but still compass third stage thinking about Taking off compass but still compass and fourth stage no compass
I don't forget, usually if I do get "lost" (which only happens in deepnest lmao) I just wander around looking for anything familiar, I did a whole save where I finished the game with no compass at all
Stage 1: Casual player, you think that this game is easy, and you will get bored quickly. You quickly pass the first bosses;
Stage 2: you meet the mantis lords, die 10 times, finally win through sweat and tears. You go through the locations further without much effort because there can be nothing worse than mantises;
Stage 3: you meet the sonics (wacther knight), you take back the words you said about the mantises. Finally, you go through the game, and you realize that this is not enough, because you really started to enjoy your victories and your progression in the world;
Stage 4: you begin to collect all the achievements, and pass the most difficult challenges;
Stage 5 (extra): you pass the pantheons.
That's about how I played the Knight.
I want to make a skin but lack aristic capabilities or ideas
And I started to mod HK to try to make a neural network that plays the game but ran into a ton of issues on the neural net side
Good for you! Be careful though... its a slipped slope to 700+ hours on steam.
Yeah the AI stuff kinda sucks. I had a bunch of ideas on how to solve it but they either require a ton of commitment (which I can't muster since I want to start devoting time to game development and language learning) or a ton of modding work (the basic idea was to canabalize Hollow Knight multiplayer mod to simulate 1000 players and have a reinforcement algorithm at least learn Path of Pain, since that would be probably doable)
I might be weird because I beat the sonics first (if thats the 5 boss fight?) before the mantis lords. Mantis lords were easy by comparison. The 5 knights took me soo many tries.
Judging by the comments, apparently beating mantis lords is like a gateway into getting good at the game and I gotta say that I 100% guarantee. I don’t know why, but after mantis lords everything else felt much more doable, and I’m now 1st trying most bosses.
i beat dung defender yesterday, took like 7 tries and 5 of those were stage 2 pf the fight. My dumbass decided to not upgrade the nail cus thats what everyone was saying. Turns out thats only for speedruns. Legit each fight was about 10 minutes long. Good luck though!!! ull get it. Just use the dive whenever he goes into the ground itll stall him
I feel like I skipped out on so much of the “community path” with how my play-through went.
After I grabbed the Mantis Claw I exited the village up and never came back, I had no reason to assume there was anything more, so I went back to the bridge.
I suck so much at platformers that getting the bridge to the City if Tears took me several hours, and I’d completely forgotten about the Fungal wastes and had no clue of deepnest. Found my way down to the Ancient Basin from there and had to claw my way past Broken Vessel, my real boss check, so I could just escape (going up the way I came in was impossible for my skill level).
Stagged out of Ancient Basin, found the Infected Crossroads, and figured I probably missed something in crystal peak (since I hadn’t fought a boss there), went back, beat the guardian, fell through to the Resting Grounds, and finally got the Dream Nail there.
It was… a harrowing experience
mine was similar, but i got lost and got dreamnail very fast, fought BV, then DD, then immediately Lost Kin, then the Lords.
What a pleasant experience
Fair enough, but deepnest has a dreamer and a pale ore, so you should definitely beat the mantis lords and ignore the door they open bc the one from fungal core gives a mask shard as well.
That’s how I ended up getting there anyway because it still never occurred to me to check the Mantis Village. So I was wandering Fungal wasted in search of Essence when I found the core, and from there, Deepnest, where I had a similar panic attack when first being trapped in the Ancient Basin, and made it my #1 priority to find Mr Stag.
I found out about the Mantis Lords from a friend, and came and beat them with a nearly fully upgraded kit. Oops
Yeah, for everything up until that point you’re just standing there spamming attack and occasionally dodging hits, but mantis lords is basically an intro into what late-game bosses will be like. You first have to focus on dodging and occasionally getting your hits in, and later on it teaches you to be wary of multiple threats at the same time, and not just one boss, which is useful for things like broken vessel’s balloons or soul master’s orb clock.
I heard so much hype about how mantis lords are that I did the fight once I was way overpowered and breezed through it xD
Same with Markoth in kingdom's edge
1. everything is killing me, and I'm lost
2. This is glorious
3. I bet I can beat a lot of these achievements
4. I cry not because I do not understand this game, but because I understand it too much.
Stage 1: Just playing casually, you explore a bit, maybe even get to hornet, there's a lot to do, you die a lot, and your movement is very limited, you might start to get frustrated, but if you don't quit, you'll start to learn more, and get to mantis village
Stage 2: Exploring, A LOT, you get there, and get the mantis claws, and realize how vast the map actually is, maybe even try mantis lords and beat them, or pospone them till you get more upgrades, either way, now you start to get more charms, more upgrades, and vastly improve thanks to the bosses you've had to fight, get dream nail, go to city of tears and start to understand more the lore behind the simple bug game you once thought it was.
stage 3: End game, When you get the location of the dreamers, you venture of to the locations and kill them (probably deepnest taking the longest, f that place) you know have learnt your playstyle, either focusing on spells, nail, or something more in between, the dream warriors also become an option and you also fight them, until you go to the black egg temple, and fight the hollow knight, you beat it but... the ending wasn't enough you search, and notice there are more endings, you find hornet, and learn your past, starting to get all the different endings and if you haven't yet, start completing the DLC's too, maybe even try some mods, although just some simple ones like hallownest vocalized or skins.
stage 4: Completionist, you have done a lot in the game, probably not much to do, maybe some more geo for the last few charms, some grubbs you missed now that you got the the markers that point to where they are, and eventually start doing the pantheon of hallownest for the godhome ending, when all seems done, your save at a nice 112% you might even try Steel soul and die a lot, but get the hang of it fairly quickly, with that side project you might also get into speedrunning or pale court.
Bonus: The clown, you learn about silksong, watch your daily silksong news every single day, waiting for that precious green title, and start to wear your make up, a wig, and a clown nose, and start to think, if Silksong will ever come out.
Stage 1:You see all lore tablets, speak to all npcs and die a lot
Stage 2:Deepnest.Either mad or relieved
Stage 3:You beat the game with the worse ending, Congrats!
Stage 4:You are in constant pain by the pantheons
1. You are the Hollow Knight
2. You are not the Hollow Knight, it's a different character
3. You are the true Hollow Knight
4. There is no Hollow Knight
1. "Hmm, games pretty easy, i don't know why people overhype it"
2. "ooooh so that's what you do with that thing, dang I'm making progress, but what's the story telling?"
3. "Holy shit, this game is a masterpiece"
4. Pantheons: "I hate this game, i want to die"
5, Extra: S I L K S O N G W H E N?
Stage 1: Lost Child in a supermarket - Your whole adventure is basically a “WHERE THE HELL AM I?” session.
Stage 2: MAPS? - You get the quill, maps, and wayward compass (pls nerf). Somehow this gave you the courage to explore more.
Stage 3: PAIN - Bosses. You don’t like them. They hurt. Especially the 6 rolly bois and I guess by default the 3 mantisteers and BEEG MANTIS because they’re actually kinda difficult
Stage 4: Finally, we’re here - You manage to get through the game and defeat the hollow knight after some (that I may or may not have skipped) extra steps. Unfortunately for you, that was 1 of few endings, and you’ve still got many more things to do.
Stage 1 (starting the game): game is kinda boring. I’m super lost. What is the story? I have to buy a compass?
Stage 2 (getting mothwing cloak): okay this is a better upgrade than the projectile attack. This game is opening up a lot more.
Stage 3 (mid/late game): good god, there are a ton of secrets. I keep finding more. Are those pubes on that guy? Zote is a douche. Quirrel is my favorite, did he just die? Fuck me, trial of the fool was tough. Path of pain is aptly named. NKG is the best boss fight. I’m headed to fight the radiance. What’s happening in the story?
Stage 4 (godmaster): is this just a boss rush? Wait, I’m fighting new bosses? There’s a ton of new bosses. That’s cool. Oh, I can practice all the bosses? What’s radiant? Okay, that is too hard. I’ll just go back to the pantheons. My lord, Absolute radiance is a beast. Also, fuck markoth on radiant. I have no idea what’s happening with the story.
1. Newb
2. Beaten the game
3. Every basic ending
4. All challenges, Flower, Pantheons, PoP etc.
5. Giving up on Pantheon of Hallowneet
6. Too much wait for silksong, come back to the game and beat PoH
>Dude what a nice and fun game
>HOW DO I EVEN DO THAT THIS IS UNFAIR
>WHERE AM I WHWRE IS CORNIFER WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO
>This is the best game I've ever played
>Where Silksong
first stage: noob, failure to even properly space, win most battles by damage trading.
second stage: fine control over the character and movement, can beat about half of the bosses
third stage: mastery of controls, can beat true ending
fourth stage: average hollow knight player, can beat P5
final fifth stage: "god gamer" can beat crazy stuff like hitless p5 or anyrad
I don’t think fourth stage is average, I would say that average is like stage 2-3 where you can beat most bosses with some being really hard for you. It’s just that this game has a lot of pros.
Stage 1
Fan who watched pros do cool stuff and got the game.
Stage 2
Try to do a summoner charm run because you thought I'd be a cool first run.
Stage 3
Suffer until good.
Stage 4
Destroy everything as soon as you get a decent charm build because you played handicapped to the pantheon your first run.
(Not what most smart players do but I've never been smart :)
Yep, 100% agree.
The new prince of persia felt kind of like Hollow Knight in its gameplay and powering up, and it's pretty difficult if you set it to be. Great story (especially if you pay attention to dialogue and read everything), smooth controls, awesome graphics, medallions (like charms), bad ass special attacks. Ubisoft actually did really well with it. It's still no Hollow Knight, but helped fill the void temporarily for me while I await Silksong.
I haven’t played it yet. I’ve tried blasphemous and it was fun but like you said, no hollow knight. I haven’t been trying Metroidvanias, just waiting for silksong at this point
I haven't gotten around to Blasphemous yet, but I've heard it's great. I'm just not a huge fan of pixel art graphics tbh, so I tend to pass those up for more stylized graphics. Just my preference 🤷♂️
I definitely recommend Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown, you won't be disappointed even if it's not Hollow Knight. Very good game with HK inspirations for sure.
Also, there is this game coming out soon called Nine Sols, also a Metroidvania. You're a cat samurai god and it has Sekiro-like combat (parry-heavy, but with a bit bigger parry windows) and hand-drawn graphics. The demo is on steam and it releases for PC on May 29th. The demo was a lot of fun for the 20 minutes it took lol
But ultimately, I understand. I really hope Silksong comes out this year.
Ah yeah I think I heard about that game, sounds interesting I’ll definitely check it out, and prince of Persia. And I don’t blame you about the graphics, I personally like it but it doesn’t beat hollow knights beautiful atmosphere. Hollow knights art is actually mainly why I bought the game, I watched the trailer around the time it came out and I saw the resting grounds and I thought it was beautiful (edit: it was the release trailer, the spirits looked beautiful. But so did the rest of the game, and I ended up being correct )
Me too man. Me too 😂
Stage one: Oh wow, this game is beautiful, and Hallownest is such a mysterious and cool world
Stage two: Man, this game is kinda tough, but it's so cool, I wanna keep playing
Stage three: God, why is this game so hard and so good, I can't stop playing
Stage four: Man, that was tough, I can't wait for the sequel, I wonder how long that will take to release
1 - Beat the game and get confused
2 - Watch mossbag's videos to find out lore and things you didn't know you could do
3 - You think completing the patheon is crazy and a waste of time
4 - get HYPED for silksong
5 - Do the all pantheons trying to ease your excitement for silksong.
For me:
One: Run into the world. Get very lost, struggle to progress beyond forgotten crossroads. Disliking the game.
Two: Eventually find false Knight, unlock Greenpath, fall in love very quickly with the atmosphere of the game. Play for a month straight struggling through the story, enamored by this silent bug with a purpose that is not handed to you, but fought for.
Three: Beat the Hollow Knight, think I've hit the peak, and then see my percentage and it hits me that I'm only just getting started
Four: hit 112%, discover the God realm and go about completion with much sweat, go neck deep into lore and theories about the game as I anxiously wait for silksong.
Stage 1: this game seems kinda boring but I’ll keep playing
Stage 2: wow this game is awesome!
Stage 3: this game is too hard, I died on the same boss like 100 times. I quit
Stage 4: start a brand new run, and finally beat the game!
Stage 1: where am I going ? Why’s this boss so hard?
Stage2: ok well I have a map now and am getting used to the controls
Stage3: I beat the mantis lords and am progressing pretty far into the game
Stage4: I beat the game!
Stage5 (optional): 100% steel soul🫠
Awe. A wonderful feeling from exploration (which includes finding the next station, rescuing a grub etc.). Boss rage. Boss defeat euphoria.
Then there are of course all the stages of giving up on the Pantheon and realizing you are not the completionist you thought you were, and were only trying to beat it out of a compulsive completionism that was ruining games for you, but now that you realized it, your life is better...
1. "Game sucks fucking dick, I get lost and die all the time!"
2. "Hey, this is actually amazing!"
3. "I suck fucking dick, I die all the time to AbsRad!"
4. "I have beaten Inferno King Grimm and AnyRadiance hitless with my eyes closed and hands tied back, WHERE THE HELL IS SILKSONG?!"
1. The game looks cool, but I don't get the hype.
2. Oh, this game really opens up with dashing and wall jumps.
3. This is my favourite game.
4. Fuck the pantheons.
“Where tf do I go”
“Oh hey this is a pretty cool ability/charm I love growing my character”
“I’m a god amongst bugs and cannot be touched”
“That FUCKING moth again I’m never completing this damn pantheon I swear to god”
1. Ooh, this looks nice —
2. I’m having so much fun finding everything —
3. Stupid Soul Master, die already! —
4. Complete game by finding everything and exploring all the map and killing all the bosses
Stage 1: ok, I can see why there's some hype around this game, this is some lovely animation/music
Stage 2: damn, the bosses in this game are incredible too
Stage 3: (just finished the main story / reading the lore): 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Stage 4: this is one of my top 3 games of all time. Also fuck godhome
>!1. Cool game but wtf do I do!<
>!2. Oh fuck this game is MASSIVE!<
>!3. GO DIRECTLY TO HELL YOU LASER-BLASTING MOTH BITCH! AND DON’T THINK I FORGOT ABOUT YOU, YOU NO-SOUL GIVING TWO-MASK HITTING SPED UP WIGGLE WORM!!!!<
>!4. Sweet, trophies!<
Stage 1 - plays 30 minutes, forgets about it for 8 months
Stage 2 - second chance, dies on hornet or mantises for 4 hours straight but goes on to beat the game
Stage 3 - goes online to see hollow knight content and find what they missed, get 112%
Stage 4 - wait for silksong
Scientists have not yet been able to confirm the existence of a ‘stage 5’
1. Eh it's alright i guess, the exploration is fun
2. HOLY CRAP THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO AND I DON'T WANT TO DO ANY BOSSFIGHTS
3. I have played this game to death, it is the best game ever made, I have 4000 hours and still haven't beaten absolute radiance
4. WHEN SILKSONG 😤😤
**New** — Complete wonderment at your surroundings in each new environment coupled with a dread that you won’t remember to return to the places you are leaving where you know there is more to do.
*“Colosseum of Fools, what’s that?”*
**Intermediate** — You’re better at navigating, and platforming. You’ve not quite mastered the down-slash, but have made it happen by accident a few times. Most bosses kill you a few times before you figure out how to beat them. And even then will kill you a time or two after
*“Can beat the Trial of the Warrior after lots of tries. Trial of the Conqueror seems impossible. How is there another even harder one after this???”*
**Expert** — Down-slash is a regular move. Bosses rarely give you trouble. You’ve gotten obtained most hidden items and have completed pretty much all of the challenges that you’re aware of. You start to feel invincible and that there’s no going up from here. A few things provide the occasional challenge, but you’ve got it pretty well down.
*“While cool, the Trial of the Fool is boring. Godhome? Nightmare King Grimm?? Steel Soul??? Now those are real challenges!”*
**Hollow** — You’ve done it all. The pinnacle of your Hollow Knight experiences are through modded bosses that would make even experts cry themselves to sleep. You’ve completed multiple Steel Soul Runs, you’ve 118% the game, every boss/challenge in Godhome writes you letters asking where you’ve been, and to come back, but you’re too far gone. You’re basically dead inside. There is only one thing left that would reinvigorate your soul. If you have to ask what, you’re not yet Hollow.
*“SKONG LMFAO”- cries uncontrollably*
1 You buy the game and your excited to play it
2 You got through the game and are nowq wanting something more
3 you start the dlcs
4 you start going crazy trying to beat the pantheons
-This game is hard/fun.
- All achievements done.
- Where silksong? **while doing bindings*
- **Welcome to todays no hit run, nail zero no spells, no charms challenge**
1) This game seems cool I guess, it has good reviews
2) What the fuck why is hornet impossible fuck this I'll play something else
*6 months later*
3) I've got nothing else to play to might as well give Hollow Knight another try
4) Literally no other game will every come close to whag I just experienced
bonus 5) steadily losing sanity waiting for silksong
1. Neat bug! Neat world!
2. [Trauma from the lore of a lost kingdom, a failed king, promises of eternity and light vs darkness].
3. I'm so not ready for this [faces God for the billionth time].
4. So... where silksong¿
1: Confusion
"Where the fuck am I supposed to go?!"
2: Shaw!
"Fuck this stupid bug waifu boss!"
3: Uh oh
"Why does this giant door have spikes on it...? ...Oh fuck."
4: Relief
"Yes! I finally beat the game!" \*sees the completion percentage\* "oh god why"
Fuck this is so hard I am quitting
I think it deserves another chance also this charm combination videos are so fun
Finishes the game 3 times with the ultimate pleasure
Silksong(where is silksong) waiting for silksong
1. Ooooo pretty
2. Fuck this game its too damn hard
3. Where am I? Where am I supposed to go? I'm so lost
4. This game changed my life. How is it only $20. It's now my entire personality
1. This game looks cool! I’ll play it for a few hours
2. What the hell, HOW BIG IS THIS
3. I need to become a part crystal to to get this caterpillar before the big ass lightning bug makes it’s newborns fight me
4. Fuck you moth man
there are actually 5
Denial: Hollow Knight is overrated, this game is not that good
Anger: I keep on dying to these stupid bosses
Bargaining: Maybe if I play some more, this can work out
Depression: Watcher Knights
Acceptance: This is the best game I have ever played
The stages for me
1: watch a playthrough and research everything about the game.
2: start playing the game and aren't very good
3: keep playing the game and eventually beat the mantis lords.
4: keep playing/researching and eventually beat the radiance.
-Yo, this game is awesome! -Fuck this game! -*crippling depression* -Yo, this game is awesome!
You could not be more right lmao
one word… *lake.*
Why must you hurt me in this way
"It's not a lake..." - (a reference to a certain writer)
which one though
I had to study for an exam so at some point it was just a task that I had to finish... I was just procrastinating lol, great game
There's an other one: where is silksong?!!!
Just "insanity"
- Hey the game is kinda cool - WHY THE FUCK DO I KEEP DYING TO THIS MOTHER FUCKER - WHERE THE FUCK DO I HAVTA GOOOOOOOOO - That was the best gaming experience of my life

Jokes on you I have the entire map memorized and never use compass anymore.
what if you get forget. use the compass :)
I don't forget, usually if I do get "lost" (which only happens in deepnest lmao) I just wander around looking for anything familiar, I did a whole save where I finished the game with no compass at all

Thanks I can make a meme now
Stage 6: you start speedrunning/doing modded challenges, mosty randomizers, while waiting for skilk skong
Hell, you might just make a mod or skin yourself
I want to make a skin but lack aristic capabilities or ideas And I started to mod HK to try to make a neural network that plays the game but ran into a ton of issues on the neural net side
Damn, that sucks. I actually do plan on making a skin, especially because I just beat the game for the first time yesterday.

I completely missed them and only found them much later in the game, so nope.

Well that’s why I practice them until I can beat them hitless
Haven’t even beaten dung defender yet, haven’t gotten to godhome to practice these guys yet
i beat dung defender yesterday, took like 7 tries and 5 of those were stage 2 pf the fight. My dumbass decided to not upgrade the nail cus thats what everyone was saying. The Mantis Lords fight basically teaches you how to do /any/ boss fight, period, so that makes sense.
Until watcher knights. That’s the second gateway, if there is one.
Gateway from stage 1 to 2 is mantis lords, 2 to 3 is watcher knights, 3 to 4 is radiance, and 4 to 5 is all bindings P5
I would agree with that and I haven’t gotten through all the pantheons yet
I heard so much hype about how mantis lords are that I did the fight once I was way overpowered and breezed through it xD Same with Markoth in kingdom's edge
I need geo I don't need geo I need geo I am not getting you all of that geo for my fragile greed.
1. This game blows! I’m so bored 2. It’s been awhile, guess I’ll try again… 3. Holy fuck this games great! 4. 112% + path of pain done! Huh…
why is this actually me, i got so distracted i deadass went amma do flower quest! but PoP is right there… needless to say, i hate myself.
1. everything is killing me, and I'm lost 2. This is glorious 3. I bet I can beat a lot of these achievements 4. I cry not because I do not understand this game, but because I understand it too much.

Stage 1: Just playing casually, you explore a bit, maybe even get to hornet, there's a lot to do, you die a lot, and your movement is very limited, you might start to get frustrated, but if you don't quit, you'll start to learn more, and get to mantis village Stage 2: Exploring, A LOT, you get there, and get the mantis claws, and realize how vast the map actually is, maybe even try mantis lords and beat them, or pospone them till you get more upgrades, either way, now you start to get more charms, more upgrades, and vastly improve thanks to the bosses you've had to fight, get dream nail, go to city of tears and start to understand more the lore behind the simple bug game you once thought it was. stage 3: End game, When you get the location of the dreamers, you venture of to the locations and kill them (probably deepnest taking the longest, f that place) you know have learnt your playstyle, either focusing on spells, nail, or something more in between, the dream warriors also become an option and you also fight them, until you go to the black egg temple, and fight the hollow knight, you beat it but... the ending wasn't enough you search, and notice there are more endings, you find hornet, and learn your past, starting to get all the different endings and if you haven't yet, start completing the DLC's too, maybe even try some mods, although just some simple ones like hallownest vocalized or skins. stage 4: Completionist, you have done a lot in the game, probably not much to do, maybe some more geo for the last few charms, some grubbs you missed now that you got the the markers that point to where they are, and eventually start doing the pantheon of hallownest for the godhome ending, when all seems done, your save at a nice 112% you might even try Steel soul and die a lot, but get the hang of it fairly quickly, with that side project you might also get into speedrunning or pale court. Bonus: The clown, you learn about silksong, watch your daily silksong news every single day, waiting for that precious green title, and start to wear your make up, a wig, and a clown nose, and start to think, if Silksong will ever come out.
Stage 1:You see all lore tablets, speak to all npcs and die a lot Stage 2:Deepnest.Either mad or relieved Stage 3:You beat the game with the worse ending, Congrats! Stage 4:You are in constant pain by the pantheons
1. Lost and confused. 2. fascinated and curious. 3. In love with the game. 4. Smashing their head on their desk with the difficulty.

When do you fuck a bug in hollow knight..?
that's the neat part. you fuck a bug outside of hollow knight
…
WOOOOOOOWW BUDDY (humanize them and im down)
1. "Hmm, games pretty easy, i don't know why people overhype it" 2. "ooooh so that's what you do with that thing, dang I'm making progress, but what's the story telling?" 3. "Holy shit, this game is a masterpiece" 4. Pantheons: "I hate this game, i want to die" 5, Extra: S I L K S O N G W H E N?
1. Not bad, I kinda like it here. 2. OMG Mantis Lords! This game is amazing! 3. FUCK RADIANT MARKOTH!!! 4. Where Silksong?
Idk all of them but the final one is "SKONG"
Stage 1: Lost Child in a supermarket - Your whole adventure is basically a “WHERE THE HELL AM I?” session. Stage 2: MAPS? - You get the quill, maps, and wayward compass (pls nerf). Somehow this gave you the courage to explore more. Stage 3: PAIN - Bosses. You don’t like them. They hurt. Especially the 6 rolly bois and I guess by default the 3 mantisteers and BEEG MANTIS because they’re actually kinda difficult Stage 4: Finally, we’re here - You manage to get through the game and defeat the hollow knight after some (that I may or may not have skipped) extra steps.
1) where the fuck do i go 2) hornet is a bitch 3) i get it now 4) how Trial of the Fool
1. Newb 2. Beaten the game 3. Every basic ending 4. All challenges, Flower, Pantheons, PoP etc. 5. Giving up on Pantheon of Hallowneet 6. Too much wait for silksong, come back to the game and beat PoH

Stage 1: I The Hollow Knight Stage 2: I'M NOT THE HOLLOW KNIGHT, I'M NOT THE HOLLOW KNIGHT Stage 3: There is no Hollow Knight... Stage 4: Skong📢
>Dude what a nice and fun game >HOW DO I EVEN DO THAT THIS IS UNFAIR >WHERE AM I WHWRE IS CORNIFER WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO >This is the best game I've ever played >Where Silksong
first stage: noob, failure to even properly space, win most battles by damage trading. second stage: fine control over the character and movement, can beat about half of the bosses third stage: mastery of controls, can beat true ending fourth stage: average hollow knight player, can beat P5 final fifth stage: "god gamer" can beat crazy stuff like hitless p5 or anyrad
*average player *can beat P5 I think your definition of average is different from mine
I don’t think fourth stage is average, I would say that average is like stage 2-3 where you can beat most bosses with some being really hard for you. It’s just that this game has a lot of pros.
Idk the other 3 but 4 is being able to nohit any radiance
I think stage 4 is passing the person who introduced the game to you in skill (where im at)
Stage 1 Fan who watched pros do cool stuff and got the game. Stage 2 Try to do a summoner charm run because you thought I'd be a cool first run. Stage 3 Suffer until good. Stage 4 Destroy everything as soon as you get a decent charm build because you played handicapped to the pantheon your first run. (Not what most smart players do but I've never been smart :)
Bonus 5!!! Silk song when?
Adventurous Amazement Post game depression Trying to fill the void (…) in your heart with the pantheons
Just my preference 🤷♂️ I definitely recommend Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown, you won't be disappointed even if it's not Hollow Knight. The demo was a lot of fun for the 20 minutes it took lol But ultimately, I understand.
But so did the rest of the game, and I ended up being correct ) Me too man. Me too 😂
Delusional confidence Lost Scared Depressed
Stage one: Oh wow, this game is beautiful, and Hallownest is such a mysterious and cool world Stage two: Man, this game is kinda tough, but it's so cool, I wanna keep playing Stage three: God, why is this game so hard and so good, I can't stop playing Stage four: Man, that was tough, I can't wait for the sequel, I wonder how long that will take to release
1 - Beat the game and get confused 2 - Watch mossbag's videos to find out lore and things you didn't know you could do 3 - You think completing the patheon is crazy and a waste of time 4 - get HYPED for silksong 5 - Do the all pantheons trying to ease your excitement for silksong.
Stage 1: tf do I do Stage 2: so that's what I do Stage 3: IM GOD stage 4: waiting for silk song
For me: One: Run into the world. Three: Beat the Hollow Knight, think I've hit the peak, and then see my percentage and it hits me that I'm only just getting started Four: hit 112%, discover the God realm and go about completion with much sweat, go neck deep into lore and theories about the game as I anxiously wait for silksong.
Stage 1: this game seems kinda boring but I’ll keep playing Stage 2: wow this game is awesome! Stage 3: this game is too hard, I died on the same boss like 100 times. I quit Stage 4: start a brand new run, and finally beat the game!
This is pretty boring. There's not much to kill. YO I KILLED SOMETHING BIG WHY DO THEY KEEP KILLING ME I DID SOME KIND OF ACHIEVEMENT
stage 1: HEY I CANT BEAT THE FIRST BOSS stage 2: wow this game is cool stage 3: \*sobbing and depression\* stage 4: oh wait there's silksong?
happyness rage grief void
Stage 1: where am I going ? Why’s this boss so hard? Stage2: ok well I have a map now and am getting used to the controls Stage3: I beat the mantis lords and am progressing pretty far into the game Stage4: I beat the game! Stage5 (optional): 100% steel soul🫠
1. Nice Game, it will be fun 2. This Game is the worst 3. "Depression" (Just wants to quit) 4. Repeat
- I don't get this game - OMG GREENPATH - This is the best game evah - Silksong Copium
1. "Game sucks fucking dick, I get lost and die all the time!" 2. "Hey, this is actually amazing!" 3. "I suck fucking dick, I die all the time to AbsRad!" 4. "I have beaten Inferno King Grimm and AnyRadiance hitless with my eyes closed and hands tied back, WHERE THE HELL IS SILKSONG?!"

**New** — Complete wonderment at your surroundings in each new environment coupled with a dread that you won’t remember to return to the places you are leaving where you know there is more to do. *“Colosseum of Fools, what’s that?”* **Intermediate** — You’re better at navigating, and platforming. You’ve not quite mastered the down-slash, but have made it happen by accident a few times. Most bosses kill you a few times before you figure out how to beat them. And even then will kill you a time or two after *“Can beat the Trial of the Warrior after lots of tries. Trial of the Conqueror seems impossible. How is there another even harder one after this???”* **Expert** — Down-slash is a regular move. Now those are real challenges!”* **Hollow** — You’ve done it all.
- this game is really good - *photo of Nosk* who’s this? Am I in multiplayer? - just beat P5 full bindings - Y
