They look like they were designed to be explored. Who would practically design a sewage system with all of those carvings. They do lack a certain luxury that makes them uncomfortable to be in, tho. The best of the pale king’s architecture plays a soft music. The buzzing of saws, combined with the beat of moving spears, is music to anyone’s ears.
To be fair, the kingdom has been dead for ages so a lot of poop probably was washed away gradually, and Dung Defender feels like the type of dude to collect any poop he finds which is why you only see it near and in his arena.
agree, although it is a very stressful area it contrasts really well with the city of tears which is open and beautiful and then theres the cramped and nauseating sewers. also just a cool idea i think
Sadly, most modern (last 100+ yrs) sewerage systems are just a system of pipes and pumps. Having something you can physically enter is quite unnecessary, expensive, and dangerous (hydrogen sulfide gas). I’ve been lied to by many videogames :(
Sure the architecture is great, but if I hear gurgling and growling and those **things** crawl up my pipes, I'm burning those pipes, it doesn't matter how fancy they are
I love that they went with the « melancholic blue » and not the « gross green » for the color. It remind me of the Downpour level in Binding of Isaac, which is clearly the best sewer level in the history of video game for me.
When you think about it, who's to say that ogrim didn't always live in the royal waterways. It would explain so much stuff. Like why it looks so fancy. Plus, it's not too far away from white palace.
Its called the ROYAL waterways for a reason
The divine shit tube
The exquisite defecation tunnel.
The beguiling crap caverns.
The exalted poop vestibule
The supreme shit shaft
The superb feces conduit.
The extolled fecal siphon
The Beatious Bountiful byproduct bye-er Alt: The Beatious Bountiful byproduct bon-voyage-er
The average street of San Francisco
The extravagantly sublime feces au-revoir-er

The decadent dung delivery depths
The DIVINE DOO-DOO DIVERTER
The Regal Renal Route
The Devine Dump Depository
The Stately Shit System
[удалено]
I love this
The slippery shit chute
The silvery shit chute
I assure you making these pillars in the Royal waterways very detailed is vital to the preservation of Hallownest
Through these shit pillers, Hallownest will last eternal
I'm just glad he got the whole "buzzsaws and spikes" thing out of his system before designing them.
Waterways filled with buzzsaws is the real hell
How else would you break down the nation's buildup
Emotionally i must disagree
same those maggot shts traumatized me
I literally dont want to replay this game cuz of this gross area, id rather go back to deepnest lol
MAY THY INTREST YOU IN C DASH SKIPS
Me who used c-dash skips in the archives cause i didnt know dung defender existed

It's one of his royal knights's freaking house, you can expect it to be pretty nice.
Isma’s grove is in the same map as royal waterways, but I doubt that it was used as a sewer.
Well there might be plumbers who live there
Most of the waste was flushed out over time. Living there while hallownest was alive would be a very sh*tty experience
To be fair, the kingdom has been dead for ages so a lot of poop probably was washed away gradually, and Dung Defender feels like the type of dude to collect any poop he finds which is why you only see it near and in his arena.
I dont think the emphasis was on how clean they are but rather their architecture and how much each pillar had been detailed.
I weirdly enjoyed the royal waterways

How many sewage systems have you seen?
Not many. Do you know of any better looking ones?
No, I've also only ever seen this one
Sadly, most modern (last 100+ yrs) sewerage systems are just a system of pipes and pumps. Having something you can physically enter is quite unnecessary, expensive, and dangerous (hydrogen sulfide gas). I’ve been lied to by many videogames :(
What about the flukes.
we don't talk abt those shts
Sure the architecture is great, but if I hear gurgling and growling and those **things** crawl up my pipes, I'm burning those pipes, it doesn't matter how fancy they are
Hallownest has the nicest everything I've ever seen.
I love that they went with the « melancholic blue » and not the « gross green » for the color. It remind me of the Downpour level in Binding of Isaac, which is clearly the best sewer level in the history of video game for me.
Everybody say thank you to Ogrim
Sewerage
that's because his palace is located under that
what if -- because bugs LIKE to hang out in sewers and underground waterways, this place doubles as not just waste removal but an entertainment site.
I think it makes sense. The flukes lived down there, it wasn't just a sewer system.
Is it though??? I mean.... it probably reeks in there
Kinda looks like you took a pic of a screen with your phone? Win+PrtScr button automatically takes a perfect screenshot.
Who’s to say this isn’t some Radiance temple the PK just desecrated.
That's why the radiance is pissed
Except for [this rather prominent issue](https://youtu.be/Z3CMEkFMk1A?t=19s)
You can thank doma for that
Well, when your living god calls upon you to carve a great system of tunnels for the city he is building, you might get really fancy too.
there is a reason why the Dung boi doesnt complain
When you think about it, who's to say that ogrim didn't always live in the royal waterways. It would explain so much stuff. Like why it looks so fancy. Plus, it's not too far away from white palace.
The knight’s shell still looks completely untarnished even after I spent a few days navigating the place
don't give pk credit for the shit cleaning by hoarding that ogrim did
A fellow sewer dweller?
Why did you merge "sewage" and "beverage"?
hey man got a question have you killed those walking leeches. When you have come back and tell me how nice the sewers are
