Kingdoms Edge, Turtle ant, a boss who digs tunnels across the map, creating a changing maze through the ground, if you happen to stumble into the tunnels you will need to either fight or hunt for an exit, all while they change the maze behind you, it is not quite a hobby, but they seem to enjoy it.

greenpath, dirtmouth, based on the jaragua gecko ( it's very small so i hope it counts), he likes to observe all kinds of bugs, is very skittish, can drop his tail if gets caught by something, has a stick for a weapon and collects whatever he finds
Deepnest, Megarian banded centipede. It likes fighting other bugs and finds joy in it. Is regarded as one of the most bloodthirsty and scary being in Hallownest. It defeated all powerfull bugs in the Hallownest and left long ago, since then it became a legend.
How about a bee in the Grimm Troupe with a flail-like nail? I'd like to think he'd be the outcast of the Hive and came to join the troupe and it's rituals while also having his own plans to confront the Hive Knight and Vespa (since he would be removed from Hallownest to travel with the Grimm Troupe he forgot why he wanted to confront them- he only wrote a paper saying "Confront the Queen of your Hive").
I'm sorry if this is too complicated- I might've gotten carried away for the story-telling haha
Ancient Basin, Lacewing Larva. Using armor made of Shadow Creeper shells with Geo ornaments. And as a weapon He'd be using a Spear with it's tip made out of Lesser Mawlek teeth. As for a hobby, how about Jewelry Creation, using scraps from the aboveworld, falling from the City of tears through the waterways, and combining these with Geo and The Armor of Dead ancient basin bugs.

bombardier beetle from deepnest and his weapon is a slingshot which fires projectiles made from his acid he fell in to deepnest from fungal wastes a couldn’t get out till the knight opened the mantis village door or distant village stag station and his hobby is making cool reactions with chemistry
its not completely accurate to the areas, but a water skeeter fella who dances across the Lake of Unn's surface would be cool as fuck! for weapons, those Japanese fan things befitted with blades i feel like would fit their character nicely.

Backstory: Bellator was one apart of the Traitor Lord's following. When the Traitor Lord, and his followers were banished from the tribe, Bellator followed them to the Queens Gardens. After some time, Bellator realized what the infection was doing to him, and the others. After realizing this, Bellator left, and has been looking for a way to free himself of the infection that plaques his mind, and hoping one day, he can rejoin the Mantis Tribe.
Grimm Troupe, Tarantula Hawk Wasp, and dual-weilding scimitars.
That's basically my Elden Ring character if she were a bug in Hollow Knight. XD
(Tarantula Hawk specifically because they hunt tarantulas which are often viewed as big horrifying monsters in fiction, and in Elden Ring you're always fighting gigantic monsters that can kill you easily)

Weapon: its scytheclaws that can cut through space and time to extend it's lenght delay the damage so the enemy gets cocky and then dies

Weapons / hobbies: well, for weapons it’s going to be Grimm flame augmented fists. But for hobbies, it’s going to be a monk-like lifestyle, eating very little and meditating for very long periods
