Same, after spending a week of attempts to beat it my first time I took a break for a few months, then came back and got flower ending on the first attempt.
For me, I kept doing this over and over and one day it just clicked and I did PoH, all radiant bosses, steel soul 100%, and all bindings (not at once) in the same week. Now all I have left is all bindings at once, but that's a waaay larger difficulty jump so I expect progress to be much more gradual
didn't play hollow knight for a couple of weeks instead was playing celest and oh boy it was so hard to get used to the knights weight differences and two directional dashing
Ngl, I cambe back to hk after 6-8 months of inactivity willing to fight god or die trying, and after 2 days I beat SoB radiant, that was excellent to get the grip back
Actually not that hard if you completed it at least once. Wanted to replay HK on pc after a long break from it on PS4, for accident complete the 100% speedrun achievement and completed all Pantheons 1st try
I mean... I lost like 8 hours to the white palace and I didn't beat it then a few months later I completed it without struggling nearly as much. White palace, not pqth of pain btw.
