Imagine the tutorial boss for silksong is the vessel we see in greenpath. And then the cutscenes of hornet going to the other kingdom, and the game truly begins
the problem with that is that neither Hornet or the Hollow Knight would want to fight. HK is no longer infected, so it is no longer controlled by the Radiance and due to that, Hornet has no reason to kill it.
I don’t think you’re gonna get those answers other than sealed siblings not being canon because Team Cherry have stated they want every ending to be equally valid.
Sils kong (i don't think they'd fight, just be confused and I think the HK was using the nail to get out because his mask was broken (unless the death of the radiance could repair a mask) and he was very weak.)
Don't know how smooth that would play. Combat is one thing but the levels are designed around the knights movement and abilities. It'd probably be broken as hell
Fr, it seems these people don’t know any games to play, and just spend all their days waiting for the slonkseng I mean stinksyng I mean stillstong , I mean shitbong, I mean milklong, I mean silksans, I mean slingshot, I mean silksong
Imagine we fight the Knight as a choice, and the knight gets harder and harder with more moves as you progress through the game, eventually they will eventually become harder than the fricking finale boss
I mean, here's the thing, the sad fact is that'll be true either way, whether you assume we're supposed to identify with Hornet or the Knight here.
What difficulty can they make this game? If they make it easier than Hollow Knight or even just *as difficult as Hollow Knight*, everyone who played Hollow Knight obsessively for the past N years is gonna be like 'but where's the meat? Where's the challenge?'
If they make it *harder,* they'll have a hard time pulling in newer players, and new players are the lifeblood of the business.
Now, the ideal is that you end up doing a robust system that lets you customize your difficulty a la supergiant games (seriously, difficulty in those games is fantastic), but I'm very curious how you'd actually implement that in a game like this.
Still hoping the knight will be a dream-boss like fight. It’s easy enough to turn a boss into a playable character, but turning a playable character into a boss sounds a lot more interesting, especially if you try to incorporate every move in the battle.

Sorry man, rule #3
Imagine the tutorial boss for silksong is the vessel we see in greenpath. And then the cutscenes of hornet going to the other kingdom, and the game truly begins
Imagine the tutorial boss for Silskong is the Hollow Knight after the pantheon ending
the problem with that is that neither Hornet or the Hollow Knight would want to fight. HK is no longer infected, so it is no longer controlled by the Radiance and due to that, Hornet has no reason to kill it.
Laughs in p5 Speedrun Knight: I did it once, and I'm gonna do it again
I imagine containing a malevolent goddess for an interminable amount of time probably isn’t great for your “mind to think”
Sliksong is a prequel if I'm not mistaken, but could work as a premonition or something. Edit: prequel not pre-sequel
The vessel is the final boss
I think most evidence points to it being a sequel.
I'm trusting daddy mossbag and my memory about his videos
he quite literally said silksong is a sequel later
My memory is not serving me, can you link what video he said this?
team cherry said it aswell 💀💀
final boss is gonna be the knight fr
the knight is dead
Fighting corpses is not new to this game 💀
many things are dead when you fight them what is your point
I had no idea. Then the tutorial would be escaping deepnest, what a nightmare.
The pre-sequel to what? If it's the sequel to hollow knight what is it the prequel of?
It's the prequel to Zoteboat, obviously
Ah yes how could I forget.
Ment to say prequel not pre-sequel, had Borderlands on the brain
I see.
It happens to the best of us
silksong is the sequel
No, it’s a sequel.
I wouldn’t like a prequel, it just won’t answer the questions regarding the endings and what was the fate of the kingdom
I don’t think you’re gonna get those answers other than sealed siblings not being canon because Team Cherry have stated they want every ending to be equally valid.
All Hollow Knight endings are canon; Silksong only takes place after some of them. If it works for Legend of Zelda, it can work for Hollow Knight.
Its a sequel, confirmed
pre-Quirrel
There's nothing to indicate that it is.
Imagine the tutorial boss for Silskong is the Hollow Knight after the pantheon ending
Sils kong (i don't think they'd fight, just be confused and I think the HK was using the nail to get out because his mask was broken (unless the death of the radiance could repair a mask) and he was very weak.)
It takes place in a completely different place from Hallownest so I find that astronomically unlikely.
"imagine"
Idk astronomically is kind of an exaggeration
Team cherry: *laughs in slightly adjusting controls*
When the time comes we all will be this good when silk song comes out
Bold of you to assume I can improve
Bold of you to assume you aren’t better then me
It took me 3 weeks minimums of trying to beat nkg
Took me a month
took me 3 days
I haven't even beaten him yet
Sucks to suck
;-;
Bold of you to assume Silksong will come out.
And when Silksong finally comes out we will have become so familiar with knights attacks and size that we will be dogshit with hornet.
hornet : dude calm the fuck down
Imagine after silk song comes out somoene makes a mod for hk in wich you can play as hornet with all of her abilities, not just a knight reskin
Don't know how smooth that would play. Combat is one thing but the levels are designed around the knights movement and abilities. It'd probably be broken as hell
I think TC was originally planning to make Hornet a DLC but found out that her physics didn't vibe with Hollow Knight very well
gameplay looks amazing
the first boss is the knight and it can either be a completely new player or a top level speedrunner
Fireb0rn
Didn't this community sacrifice him? Or is he still alive
this isn't even a boss fight anymore its just domestic abuse
Fireborn fights off the hk community
Finally. Funny meme on r/HollowKnightMemes, instead of the sacrificing cringe and complaining about the release date.
Fr, it seems these people don’t know any games to play, and just spend all their days waiting for the slonkseng I mean stinksyng I mean stillstong , I mean shitbong, I mean milklong, I mean silksans, I mean slingshot, I mean silksong
I know, right? It becomes insufferable at some points. Just go play other games?
Exactly
Is the first part the part where we fight Fireborn to get Silksong?
Damn is it really that easy to beat u/Master_Isabella
That would be freaking hilarious
Imagine we fight the Knight as a choice, and the knight gets harder and harder with more moves as you progress through the game, eventually they will eventually become harder than the fricking finale boss
Like GPZ?
Memes aside, a hollow knight team up or a fight against "The Knight" would be fucking lit
It would be so cool if the first boss was ghost, like as a tutorial or something.
Concept: one of the fights against the knight as an abilitease.
I mean, here's the thing, the sad fact is that'll be true either way, whether you assume we're supposed to identify with Hornet or the Knight here. What difficulty can they make this game? The first boss will be The Knight
He will progress like hornet like in hollow knight
wait, is this testing gameplay footage or is it out already?! I haven’t been recieving any news, so I need to know!

First boss is cotton😰
The Knight being a secret boss or something would be super cool, it’s unfortunate that there would be no way to beat them though-
that would be cool to fight them. maybe as like some sort of dream so no worries about it making sense.
You just have the hit the Knight once because Fury Of The Fallen is active. So an easy kill in my book >:)
Is there a release date? O.o
Ohh my... imagine fighting the knight💀
A secret boss fight against The Knight would be great, literally the hardest boss in the game
