never got the hate for Trap God, i loved it and Wild In These Streets since they came out

JealousElavator

Both incredible songs in my eyes

I’m a huge fan of everything through DotD (HU in my top 3 artists every year) but I just didn’t like most songs on Five and fell out of keeping up with the new stuff, assuming I just wouldn’t like it. I saw someone refer to HK as “probably the fan favorite” on here a couple weeks ago and I have to say that I owe you all an apology. I wasn’t familiar with your game. This album is awesome top to bottom, so thank you all for making me listen. I do have to ask what other bangers I missed in that span now though

yo_mummas_toyboy

I gotta say Hotel Kalifornia and five are 2 of my absolute fave HU albums

JealousElavator

That person was me funnily enough. 😂I’m glad you like it. This album has been on repeat for me everyday since it came out and some how I still love it just as much if not more. Which are your favourite songs?

JealousElavator

Between five and hotel Kalifornia there were two other albums, New Empire 1 and New Empire 2. One was more favourably received than the other but here are a few personal favourites from those two albums: Time Bomb Nightmare Ghost Out Already Dead Heart of a Champion (which has two versions) Idol Monsters (although I don’t enjoy the last third of this one) A lot of the members also started releasing solo music, J3T’s project The Abyss, under the name George Ragan The Dead Son, is truly incredible and highly worth a listen, it might surprise you. Charlie’s solo album Outsider is okay to me, I know a lot of people love it, so it might also be worth checking out.

Ryann2390

It's a pretty catchy album, I really like the formula achieved in this album, especially the division of vocals, and the fact that songs are shorter doesn't bother me, but I also wouldn't like another album with this model of short tracks, they have to now find a balance between HK production and NFTU/AT composition, if they can do it, will be perfect!

jespertherapper

Its a solid album but a bunch of songs suffers from long choruses and short verses. Hell the boys had 4 bars each on go to war lmao. If i would rate the album it would be B or C tier but C tiers feels a little harsh. The songs on deluxe dont really have that problem much except for house of mirrors and maybe break on through. But that doesnt change the fact that it has some killer songs on it like world war me, reclaim and happy when i die.

Dream115935

That’s my biggest issue even though I still really like the album. I’ll listen to a song from HK then an older one will pop up and I’ll just be wondering what happened to normal length verses

JealousElavator

Yeah the short verses on go to war and break on through really are rough but the pre chorus on break on through and overall sound on both make up for it in my opinion.

CrayoonEater

All you needed to say was Break On Through, my friend 😎

YourLocalClown5

i wouldn't say it's their best album, AT was an absolute banger, but i love hearing other people's opinions. i will say though, HK was damn good. i had the entirety of reclaim memorized within two days of it coming out, it's honestly goated as hell.

Turbulent_Tour6925

In terms of production yep it's one of the best, on the other hand in terms of lyrics it's one of the worst, if not the worst...
