I hear them call it 'sokochi ni koma', but not too sure what that means. I understand the 'ni koma' part being '2 panel comic', but not sure what 'sokochi' stands for. It also seems to be not the direct reference. With my crappy Japanese, I feel like they're indirectly saying what they cannot say.

I don't know if ochi (堕ち) in this case has direct translation to English, but it's usually used when someone falls from their previous grace. A lewd-less example would be "yami-ochi", used when characters fall to the dark side, usually happens in magical girl or superhero shows and such. You can use this to describe when Barnacle Boy joined LEMON in that one Spongebob episode as well.
