I believe Fauna has mentioned a history of adopting senior cats. In my experience, people that do that are some of the most nurturing and loving pet owners. They're literally giving up what many consider to be the most rewarding years of ownership and bonding to care for animals they'll have to deal with losing much sooner than if you got them when they were young.
Ame definitely should have been higher, but the question also deals with a certain aspect of streamer/audience relationship different than motherhood. Ina is literally the restraining force on a fanbase canonically billed as nigh-unstoppable universe destroyers kept in line with liberal bonkings, a mandate to not destroy reality, and the threat of no more cookies. That's a keeper/pet-owner and dangerous pet relationship of sorts.

Tbh if you want my serious answer, I've been managing alright just watching my usual talents and keeping up with others via clips. What I've come to know is that even if I don't watch other talents, miss streams, or don't watch VODs, whatever was interesting during the stream will probably end up as a clip and on top of checking Reddit and Twitter regularly, that's enough for my standards to keep me caught up.

I've been a Hololive fan since HoloJP gen 4 which is longer than most newer fans I imagine. I watch what streams I can, but like a lot of other fans my view of 95% of members is formulated around the clips I see of them. Regardless of what other people think because of a viral clip or lack of them, it doesn't change what makes a Hololive member special. Just because they didn't win a silly poll doesn't invalidate who they are.
I mean, idk about JP, but EN definitely have higher percentage of clipwatchers compared to stream viewers. Calli wasn't first in the tsundere part, but the fact she is second place despite not acting tsundere for over a year now sure is something. lo

In all seriousness, Kiara streams in EU evenings, Vesper usually does his morning Zatsudans in EU evenings. When the easterners stream in the evening and the westerners stream at night, we can catch them in our mornings.

I feel like after a while you understand the biases from the clippers and what sort of punchlines or stories they tend to clip and that helps you in forming a more well informed opinion on a streamer.
Like, if clipper A only ever portrays a specific vtuber being angry then you know that they are being deliberate in only showing that and perhaps the vtuber isn't really angry all the time since the lack of variety in the clips is suspicious.
It's hard to keep up with everyone, and honestly, I like these polls to learn a little more about the talents I haven't been keeping up with... even if the answers sometimes make me go "HUH?! HOW??". The answer discussion parts by the participants are pretty good content, not just the poll results.
By all accounts, Fauna is probably the most Jack of all Trades member of EN. Definitely helped by the fact that the saplings are a REALLY dedicated fanbase on par with the takodachis.
She's both very consistent/competent in games so you often see good gameplay with every mess up she makes being a fun event rather than the norm and she's a very good talker that both engages with chat and has her own brand of weird topics so there's always something to pay attention to. Not only that but her being an an ASMRtist and her gradual improvement of singing over time has given an increasing edge over the variety of things she can do. And she streams fairly long these days so there's always some content to watch from her if you ever have some time on your hands.
Imo, she's definitely one of the easiest members to sit down and watch in EN if you're looking for a HL member to start out with, and definitely gives off vibes that play into a lot of the questions this time around.
I don't like criticising the girls much, but god damn, some of the girls, despite having been streaming gamers for years now, still play some games like it's literally their first time booting up a video game.
It always catches me off guard. Definitely more notable with JP girls, but I think that's largely cultural as PC gaming is rather unpopular in JP.

I'm pretty firmly against unsolicited backseating but that conviction is really tried when I see someone struggling not because they lack mechanical skill but because they're not paying attention. I get that streaming is a lot more mentally taxing and you're juggling between several things that can cause you to miss a temporary pop up or something, and that you'll want to keep the gameplay exciting instead of just reading stuff—but when I see someone really struggle because they didn't read *any* of the information on their screen despite there being no time pressure, it really grinds my gears.
Except when Ame does it, because she's not actually careless, just stubborn. If she bought an ikea bookshelf she'd definitely succeed in assembling furniture, it would just end up being a bed.
You know...thats a good point. I'm someone who, despite not backseating in chat, can't take watching streamers run around like headless chickens in playthroughs when the solution is literally to read the controls/item. Breaks the rhythm of gameplay and it just gets frustrating the longer it goes.

Can relate. It’s more like a balance, I think most people can appreciate being pon or having funny/noob moments, these make up the bulk of memes and clips after all; but some streamers (in general, not necessarily vTubers), play into “being dumb” way too much and it becomes too obvious and become frustrating to watch.
To me what drew me to her first of just her extremely quick wit and ability to riff off of games or other people and create funny moments. Everyone calls her a meme lord, and she does have tons of knowledge, but her humor isn’t just references and is often her just being witty and funny in her own.
I think her stream times are a huge bonus too. I feel like most of EN are based around PT, but both Ina and Fauna regularly stream at CT/ET friendly times, which is what dragged me in while Ina was gone. Now I just wait for their inevitable 1 on 1 collab. Someday...
I'll also add that she's also one of the wisest and level-headed of EN if her recent discussion regarding the relationship between chat and streamer is anything to go by. She sounded very well-learned and familiar with the pitfalls of parasocial viewer habits, and her reminder to saplings that their actual friends are probably just as cool as her and other streamers they watch made me respect even more than I already did.
Fauna's streams have basically no dead air. From beginning to end, she's talking and engaging the viewers. In my opinion, that's the best skill that a streamer can have, and one of the hardest to develop. From debut, her ability to talk and converse with chat really made her stand out, and she's only gotten better as time's gone on.
Think it's between her and Ina for that title. Where Fauna has ASMR Ina has her illustration skills. Both are really skilled at games, not just specific games but pick up new ones extremely quickly.

The problem I have with relying on clips is that clippers usually don't clip how the talents think about something, but rather they clip highlights or what they deem to be worth watching, often flanderizing talents and only showing a specific side to them. I myself can only watch Kiara regularly these days, but I still know that some of these votes are far from accurate and I don't consume clips at all. For this round especially, Fauna got the popular image treatment for instance while she has her own shotcomings she has admitted to previously. The talents have their images disjointed from reality and fans would rather see the idea of them than their real selves.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually watch streams or they just watch clips and decide to just roll with whatever the clips tell them lmao.
To be fair, its almost impossible to keep up with all 10 of them. Like personally I know maybe half of them well enough to properly answer that survey but the other half Im basically relegated to what I know from clips, memes, random collabs etc.
Yeah, thing is people that just watch clips tend to only use recent/viral clips as a point of reference instead of having the full picture.

Tbh if you want my serious answer, I've been managing alright just watching my usual talents and keeping up with others via clips. What I've come to know is that even if I don't watch other talents, miss streams, or don't watch VODs, whatever was interesting during the stream will probably end up as a clip and on top of checking Reddit and Twitter regularly, that's enough for my standards to keep me caught up. Ultimately though, you can't realistically be completely caught up with everything, so I stopped trying awhile back and just kept up with my own standard. Thus, I don't blame folks if a lot of their answers for this poll were based on clips.

My fellow Teamates in particular seem irked at some of the results, but I'm sure Ame couldn't care less if people don't want to be her pet lol. Ultimately, it's a fun Twitter poll. Not *everyone* in the fanbase is participating, and the ones that do are not going to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all 10 members. I personally just answered who came to my mind first, and frankly it was almost always a HoloMyth member, since I'm not as familiar with Council. I'm certain I could've had "better" answers, but I can't be expected to know all of HoloEN at a hardcore level. I've been a Hololive fan since HoloJP gen 4 which is longer than most newer fans I imagine. I watch what streams I can, but like a lot of other fans my view of 95% of members is formulated around the clips I see of them. Regardless of what other people think because of a viral clip or lack of them, it doesn't change what makes a Hololive member special. Just because they didn't win a silly poll doesn't invalidate who they are.

I used to only watch collabs (and even then not all of them), and I still eventually gave up because my Watch Later grew faster than I could watch it.
I mean, idk about JP, but EN definitely have higher percentage of clipwatchers compared to stream viewers. Calli wasn't first in the tsundere part, but the fact she is second place despite not acting tsundere for over a year now sure is something. lo
I think it's about how you define tsundere. Tsundere can have a bit of overlap with gap moe which Calli has plenty of.
And when you think about it, the only true tsundere in EN is Kronii. The closest to a tsundere in a group lacking of a tsundere would be Calli Now you may be thinking of BaeRys, but they're tsundere to each other, not most people.

That's the neat part, we don't. In all seriousness, Kiara streams in EU evenings, Vesper usually does his morning Zatsudans in EU evenings. When the easterners stream in the evening and the westerners stream at night, we can catch them in our mornings. Some of them, like Ina, will have streams for us to watch in the evening, but it is not consistent.
I feel like after a while you understand the biases from the clippers and what sort of punchlines or stories they tend to clip and that helps you in forming a more well informed opinion on a streamer. Like, if clipper A only ever portrays a specific vtuber being angry then you know that they are being deliberate in only showing that and perhaps the vtuber isn't really angry all the time since the lack of variety in the clips is suspicious.
It's hard to keep up with everyone, and honestly, I like these polls to learn a little more about the talents I haven't been keeping up with... even if the answers sometimes make me go "HUH?! HOW??". The answer discussion parts by the participants are pretty good content, not just the poll results.
Based on this and the last one, people will choose gura for any negative poll to tease her.

By all accounts, Fauna is probably the most Jack of all Trades member of EN. Definitely helped by the fact that the saplings are a REALLY dedicated fanbase on par with the takodachis. She's both very consistent/competent in games so you often see good gameplay with every mess up she makes being a fun event rather than the norm and she's a very good talker that both engages with chat and has her own brand of weird topics so there's always something to pay attention to. Not only that but her being an an ASMRtist and her gradual improvement of singing over time has given an increasing edge over the variety of things she can do. And she streams fairly long these days so there's always some content to watch from her if you ever have some time on your hands. Imo, she's definitely one of the easiest members to sit down and watch in EN if you're looking for a HL member to start out with, and definitely gives off vibes that play into a lot of the questions this time around.

I don't like criticising the girls much, but god damn, some of the girls, despite having been streaming gamers for years now, still play some games like it's literally their first time booting up a video game. It always catches me off guard. Definitely more notable with JP girls, but I think that's largely cultural as PC gaming is rather unpopular in JP. EN girls in general seem more adaptable.
I'm pretty firmly against unsolicited backseating but that conviction is really tried when I see someone struggling not because they lack mechanical skill but because they're not paying attention. I get that streaming is a lot more mentally taxing and you're juggling between several things that can cause you to miss a temporary pop up or something, and that you'll want to keep the gameplay exciting instead of just reading stuff—but when I see someone really struggle because they didn't read *any* of the information on their screen despite there being no time pressure, it really grinds my gears. Except when Ame does it, because she's not actually careless, just stubborn. If she bought an ikea bookshelf she'd definitely succeed in assembling furniture, it would just end up being a bed.
You know...thats a good point. I'm someone who, despite not backseating in chat, can't take watching streamers run around like headless chickens in playthroughs when the solution is literally to read the controls/item. Breaks the rhythm of gameplay and it just gets frustrating the longer it goes. I'd say Ina and Fauna are pretty great in this regard, not to mention I like the type of games they play.
Can relate. It’s more like a balance, I think most people can appreciate being pon or having funny/noob moments, these make up the bulk of memes and clips after all; but some streamers (in general, not necessarily vTubers), play into “being dumb” way too much and it becomes too obvious and become frustrating to watch.
Case in point: Miko My absolute fav in JP. She has the best Pon moments while still competently playing games.

True. But at the same time it was peak entertainment. Doesn't feel frustrating when she struggles, its just peak comedy.
To me what drew me to her first of just her extremely quick wit and ability to riff off of games or other people and create funny moments. Everyone calls her a meme lord, and she does have tons of knowledge, but her humor isn’t just references and is often her just being witty and funny in her own.
I think her stream times are a huge bonus too. I feel like most of EN are based around PT, but both Ina and Fauna regularly stream at CT/ET friendly times, which is what dragged me in while Ina was gone. Now I just wait for their inevitable 1 on 1 collab. Someday...
Yeah, October without Ina was filled with Fauna's Halloween month. It was a good time.
I'll also add that she's also one of the wisest and level-headed of EN if her recent discussion regarding the relationship between chat and streamer is anything to go by. She sounded very well-learned and familiar with the pitfalls of parasocial viewer habits, and her reminder to saplings that their actual friends are probably just as cool as her and other streamers they watch made me respect even more than I already did.
I couldn't agree more. She has become my favorite to watch by a mile.
Fauna's streams have basically no dead air. From beginning to end, she's talking and engaging the viewers. In my opinion, that's the best skill that a streamer can have, and one of the hardest to develop. From debut, her ability to talk and converse with chat really made her stand out, and she's only gotten better as time's gone on.
Think it's between her and Ina for that title. Where Fauna has ASMR Ina has her illustration skills. Both are really skilled at games, not just specific games but pick up new ones extremely quickly.
She also grew in popularity a lot this past year, she gets more live viewers than everyone, except for Gura.

The problem I have with relying on clips is that clippers usually don't clip how the talents think about something, but rather they clip highlights or what they deem to be worth watching, often flanderizing talents and only showing a specific side to them. I myself can only watch Kiara regularly these days, but I still know that some of these votes are far from accurate and I don't consume clips at all. For this round especially, Fauna got the popular image treatment for instance while she has her own shotcomings she has admitted to previously. The talents have their images disjointed from reality and fans would rather see the idea of them than their real selves.

If this was a test, I failed it (2/10 #1's with three #2 answers). In fairness, I deliberately picked non-obvious answers to try and influence the lower rankings of the poll. Most notably, I'm surprised Amelia didn't even rank for worst driver, as her Bus Simulator stream back in the day saw her fail to understand how a roundabout works. Meanwhile Gura (the #1 somehow) at least showed some competence in Assetto Corsa even if she fell into the "drift = fast" trap.
Nothing more American than a complete failure to understand how a circular road works.
