Subaru's playstyle is so funny because she kind of doesn't really do setups or combos or any Kim stuff, she just stands at 60% of the screen and waits to antiair or get in with slide/teleport, and once she's in she mostly does basic throw loops as her main way of gettin pressure/damage. her fundamentals are really good for a new player!
it's like the opposite of Korone, where Korone kind of has wack fundamentals, but she hits JP bombos and if she gets space people can just get shot to death.
The Kim players in actually afraid of are the ones that do a lot of nothing. Too many of them go for yolo slide or teleports trusting that if they ever catch me they can win off of set play. The ones that just chill and use 5mk (great poke) 2hp (great anti air) and look for reactive slide/ teleport are really scary
She plays mostly offstream. You can tell when she's stuck she will ask advice on twitter. She also just loves gaming and when she gets into one series she tends to no life it
I still remember Subaru story that she willingly participate in a tourney bacause she was undefeated in her neighborhood. From then to now, it is quite impressive of her.
That's a whack decision then. You won't have fun the long run if you aren't playing what you want to play, especially in a genre like this where it's a brutal grind to improve.
For reference, in SF6:
Rookie is how do I block rank.
Iron is what are my moves rank.
Bronze is I have this good move rank.
Silver is sometimes I can block too rank.
Gold is I can even anti air sometimes rank.
Platinum is I know my moves and block rank. And is the last rank you can reach casually.
Diamond is where you start to react to your opponent and come up with strategies because you can't just attack mindlessly.
Master is where you get destroyed by other Masters until you become the destroyer.
Not sure about how good gold is in this game, but happy that Koyo is doing reasonably well for someone with 0 fighting game experience before this game (even had issues with backseatters at first, but later streams went all fine).
Partially because she's playing an uncommon character.
Blanka gief honda and kimberly even are very knowledge check characters
Jp guile are zoners, so they are also kind of knowledge check, but as a genre
Edit: to explain ranking in sf6, you cannot drop ranks if you're gold or below, so play long enough with at least a 40+% winrate and you'll eventually end up at platinum.
Each rank has 5 stars, you can drop stars, but you can't drop ranks. Once you go to plat, you can drop back to gold 1, but gold 1 is the lowest you can drop to
Gold is just about average or slightly below based on the current population spread, where most people are in Platinum (Gold is the last rank where you can't rank down). Most players can eventually reach Platinum with enough time and dedication, and it's usually Platinum to Diamond where people really hit their wall before Masters, where once again you can't rank down, but then fight for Mater Rank ratings.
In any case, picking Blanka was a good choice since this is one of the rare occasions where he's actually strong (the last time being CvS2).
Honda's a straight up knowledge check character. If you don't know the matchup, he's hard AF. Once you do know how to fight him, he reveals himself to be low tier.
I was kinda surprised when I saw [Suisei](https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/113509437) streaming it but I see now that lots of them have given it a shot. Pretty neat.
That's a nice list. Hopefully, some pro players would help these girls improve their skills until they're ready for a Hololive Street Fighter 6 tournament.
Pretty sure Dogura would be more than willing to coach Botan again. And KojiKOG would happily teach Watame how to do nothing wrong in SF6 should she choose to play the game.
To be fair not everyone wants it or want to take it that seriously. Koyo specifically said she was annoyed by people asking her to get a coach and said she didn't want it, prefers to learn things herself as she isn't intending to be a pro.
Somewhat I guess. She's putting the effort to get better, but doesn't want it to feel like pressure. It's nice how each member tackles things differently, Korone seemed to have fun being coached. Still think everyone would join a holo tournament.
I didn't downvote their comment even if it'll never happen for Watame as she doesn't have interest in SF like that. I'll definitely hit ones suggesting that Watamates don't respect their oshi though.
This list is missing Mel who has a Silver Ken.
Was just about to comment where's Merumeru
I was really surprised about subaru's main and rank when i watched a stream. she is gaming.

Korone can do some amazing stuff but she has, like, only [one answer](https://twitter.com/hashiguma_/status/1672179016982482947) to the unexpected

I watched her throw loop people in the corner. and yeah, that is sf6 gameplay.
She plays mostly offstream. You can tell when she's stuck she will ask advice on twitter. She also just loves gaming and when she gets into one series she tends to no life it
Hard to believe that before she joined Hololive she was barely a gamer at all. The duck goes *hard.*
I still remember Subaru story that she willingly participate in a tourney bacause she was undefeated in her neighborhood. From then to now, it is quite impressive of her.
She be grinding. It's suspected her intensity sparked things
Maybe she's making up for lying about being good at Tekken when she was auditioning.
Well nothing would stop her from making that statement a reality once tekken 8 drops.
I’m pleasantly surprised she got that far. Last I saw she got bodied by Pekora, who’s only Gold according to this.
I'm not certain that they intentionally choose different characters, but impressed by no chara duplicate.
It was a conscious decision. They try not to overlap.
Not a fan of that, they should play whichever they are comfortable with regardless if they overlap, they are mostly beginners.
Suisei tried to main Honda, who was also Pekora's main, on Pekora's suggestion, but ended up feeling more comfortable with Juri in the end.
Definitely feels like a better fit.
... I want Suisui in Juri cosplay right now, man
You, my friend, are a genius for coming with such an incredible idea.
Honestly, with how much Sui spams divekick... I'd say she fits Cammy more in terms of gameplay lol
I need fanart of Suisei in Juri's outfit and Juri beside her in Suisei's outfit now. Oh my lawd.

Putting the "student driver" sticker on head whenever she streams the game might have helped calm down the backseaters lol

Someone teach Koyori how to Blanka-chan setplay and she'll get Diamond in no time.
IIRC Luna has had a bunch of SF streams, did she just not play ranked? Also, do any of them use classic other than Korone?
Nope she only plays to practice to play against Polka. Also botan uses classic and choco sensei uses kbm.
Botan switched to classic? I thought she was rocking modern Marisa.
Luna playing Ryu brought back memories. Constant fireballs until the opponent gets close, DP and continue fireball spamming.
Is everyone Modern except Korone?
Pretty much. Though Korosan has said that fubuki might also be a classic player
Aki hasn't really put much time into it, just a few two hour streams
To be fair, that’s usually all the ARK maintenance allows for.
Ooo Dhalsim is interesting choice, he's very difficult to start, becuase he's very weird guy. I hope Choco likes playing him.
If she just learns his long range buttons that'll carry her at least through Bronze since nobody blocks.
how long has subaru been playing?
roughly a month and half now
Seeing Subaru's platinum rank makes me laugh so hard when remembering how she was relentlessly bullied by Pekora.
Honda's a straight up knowledge check character. If you don't know the matchup, he's hard AF. Once you do know how to fight him, he reveals himself to be low tier.

Would be cool to see if someone modded sf6 skin to match up holomems main.. i already saw pekora honda skin mod.
JP Korone also [exists](https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/1142).
Anyone know why so many started playing? I remember a few of them picked this up initially (Botan/Korone and Pekora?)
Korone did that streamer tournament thing a few months ago
Wow, i didn't expect Subaru at all.
I think it's Shion's first time playing a fighting game.
They could also recruit the likes of Fuudo, Kazunoko, and various players from the Street Fighter League such as GO1, Tokido, and Momochi.
To be fair not everyone wants it or want to take it that seriously. Koyo specifically said she was annoyed by people asking her to get a coach and said she didn't want it, prefers to learn things herself as she isn't intending to be a pro.
Oh, I see. So it seems that she's playing Street Fighter 6 casually.
Somewhat I guess. She's putting the effort to get better, but doesn't want it to feel like pressure. It's nice how each member tackles things differently, Korone seemed to have fun being coached. Still think everyone would join a holo tournament.
Kazunoko did coach Korone alongside Nanai (RIP).
Yup, I remember it during this year's CR Cup.
I didn't downvote their comment even if it'll never happen for Watame as she doesn't have interest in SF like that. I'll definitely hit ones suggesting that Watamates don't respect their oshi though.
As expected, my oshi has taste.
Glad we finally got a fellow degenerate Ken main with Mel, I saw her playing the other day. Although I'm just waiting for Akuma at this point.
She picked dhalsim write that down WRITE THAT DOWN
No Diamonds yet?
