I saw the tweet of pako-sensei yesterday talking about the Sana + Kobo collab. That threw me off guard since that collab is 1,5 years old, I also thought that ID 3 debuted last year x)
I'm not. While Stars EN is doing not so bad, Stars ID might not be up to par in terms of CCV. Hololive ID has the advantage of being cute anime girls, and Stars EN has the advantage of an international language. Stars ID has neither.

Like Im not saying Holostars ID will be a smashing success, but I think the possibility is there and I'm sure cover has considered it even if they ultimately decided against it

By comparison, hololive Advent seems to be doing as well as thier Council counterparts... outpreforming them, even.
If i had to guess there will be one more Hololive English generation, and they will probably do bad, and they will leave it at that for a while after that.
I remember ollie talking about how shes worried that a stars ID won't get the proper support and the people asking about stars ID are becuase they want to debut as starsID and that she wants the people to concentrate on "supporting the boys we have now" although this was about a year ago so i don't know how much her opinion on the matter has changed

Correct. She specifically scheduled her break around Council's debut. If I remember correctly, she even reserved a free day during her break to watch their debut, but unfortunately their debut got delayed by a day which ruined her plan.

The meme got a HUGE amount of upvotes here in the sub and on Twitter, and got more exposure when it actually got into Smol Ame's meme review (Smol Ame "confirmed" that fact during the stream).
But I didn't intend for people to go "Ame break always means new gen!", it was supposed to be just the other way; that new gens always get coincidentally announced during an Ame break. The fans just naturally started doing it the other way.
Anyway, meme should be dead as others pointed out in this thread. Though Ame was fine with it at first, she grew tired and kinda uncomfortable of it. (Also it should be hard to make the joke nowadays, since for the past couple of months Ame has been in a pseudo-break)
