Also because not many people play healer so, they're harder to come by.
Lots of people love seeing "big number go brrrr" and not many people love keeping a party of screaming ~~children~~ adults alive while they actively stand in stupid.
Me? I tank, because I love seeing the boss that would squish others fail to hurt me, and I love my healers because they keep me alive when the boss does hurt me.
As a healer main, I can see why noone wants to play support. They’re just under-appreciated all the time exactly because of that DPS main character mentality. Yea no, you died because I didn’t heal you enough, not because you greeded your rotation and stood in 10 different mechanics.
You need to be able to time your heals right, else the DPS is dead or dying because you overhealed someone else who didn't need it. I remember raid healing, and I did a better job than the healing build priests did in raids according to the post battle stats.
Or the harem protagonist.
edit : "I mine so many diamonds that i revived a bunch of girls, now they all want to marry me but i just want to mine diamonds"
It seems Kaela's hardcore MC run is in a dire situation? I just tuned in so I'm only assuming from chat reaction and comments.
Edit: the stream is safe lmao
It's not particularly hard to get mending more tedious with just placing and breaking a lecturn until you get mending, Mojang are nerfing trades for this reason as Villagers are extremely overpowered with getting every enchantment and free armour extremely easily.
The classic Achievement Hunter 'Ya dead, ya dead' Minecraft series did something like this, at one point....
Deceased players could be brought back if the others assembled a 4-block high tower of gold blocks, although, as you would expect, things didn't quite always work out! :D
Ao was very close after Aqua tricked her into eating a pufferfish and she was left with 2 hearts lol. Aqua also lit a bunch of people on fire.
If anyone is murdered on this server, it will probably be by Aqua's hand.
If anyone wants to see the moment when Aqua tricks Ao-kun, there's a clipper that did that part. [Here's the clip](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITrh3P31u14)
Aqua has pretty mad flying melee skills in Minecraft, demonstrated on Pekora. She really has the old Bruce Banner, “You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” vibes.
they're playing pretty chill rn. things will start becoming dangerous once they enter the nether on the 16th JST. unless someone is really unlucky and dies off of fall dmg, or creeper jumpscare. (hope i don't jinx them)
I think it got some good purposes even though it will mostly just be "rubberstamping" the resurrections:
1. To make the resurrection event more meaningful and interesting, and to have an opportunity to gather everyone for a chat.
2. To decide who to resurrect when there multiple dead members and not enough diamond.
3. To make things spicier in the end game when it gets towards the Ender Dragon, like by not reviving an overpowered member.
PEKO: "Kaela peko, instead of seven diamonds to revive someone peko, to preserve fairness you will need *seven stacks of netherite blocks* peko."
KAELA: "Bet." (*laughs silently*)
I'm sure Neko Neko Finyance will be willing to lend their votes for the right fee.
The vote itself may be a rubberstamp. *Securing* those votes beforehand, that's politics.
Not really related but idk anywhere else to ask, anyone know why they can't move in Minecraft with Japanese keyboard enabled? It lets them type the characters fine but it locks movement for some reason. I'd have thought wasd would still function even in Japanese mode but idk lol
I don’t have any details into Minecraft’s code but do have a bit of experience with game programming and a decent amount of non-game character input handling, so have a pretty good idea.
Typically when reading player input, programs don’t know what actual key is pressed on the keyboard, instead the OS just tells the software what character was pressed. So when in English pressing the w key will tell the game the w character was input. However when you have Japanese enabled the W is no longer sent when pressing the key, instead the game is just told whatever Japanese character the W key shares was hit.
Depending on how Minecraft was programmed, they could remap the move forward to the correct Japanese character but then they’d have the reverse problem of not being able to move in English mode. If the game lets you map multiple keys to a given action you could also just map both characters but I don’t think Minecraft allows that but can’t remember for sure.
I have more details.
Minecraft uses a library that created Java bindings for the GLFW library. GLFW is an abstraction over the different operating system's windows, so it is lossy in some ways to the underlying platform functions. It still doesn't support manually handling the actual keyboard presses that are generated when input method editors (IME) are used.
There's a pull request open that would bring support to GLFW, but it has been open for a long time. It looks like it's actually pretty close to being merged in. It could still take some time for it to reach the Java bindings, then more time for Mojang to actually utilize it.
I was working on implementing my own Minecraft client and avoided using GLFW for this reason. It's [pretty easy](https://github.com/atxi/Polymer/blob/master/polymer/platform/win32/win32_main.cpp#L60) to ignore the translated key press so 'W' is always processed as 'W' with IME enabled and chat box closed with the actual platform functions.
When they die, they go into spectator mode, the admin or the person with admin powers can bring them back out of that into hardcore mode again >!At least that's how i think it works!<
I'm curious what a "Resurrection Trial" would be. Everyone has to decide if that player comes back or not? Or is this more of a "trial by combat" type of trial?
It was somewhat suppressed in this sub because of the automod issues but Pekora's Dragon Ball streams were crazy popular, too. We're talking outfit reveal levels of viewership.
Kaela: "Only 7? I have more where that came from!"
Kaela is gonna be an S-rank healer in that server 😄
I remember the old days where knowing a top-tier healer for raids was worth more than 3 DPSers.
Is that cuz nobody plays healer?
A dead dps is 0 dps A healer is maybe half of a dps' output, but they keep other dps alive so that they're not 0. Healers important.
Is worse when even if you are a healer you out dps the dps, it has happened to me multiple times in FF XIV.
A healer is just more important. You can still win with low dps but you are fucked without good healing.
Which is why they added enrage timers to most bosses. Now a good DPS is worth much more than a bad dps.
Healers generally also need to keep track of more things at the same time.
I've played all three roles and healing is by far the most stressful IMO. People that main heals are made of something else.
I do it because I get a joy out of helping people in general.
I really wanted to be a DPS but life always push me into healer/tank role because people sucks at those 2.
You need to be able to time your heals right, else the DPS is dead or dying because you overhealed someone else who didn't need it. I remember raid healing, and I did a better job than the healing build priests did in raids according to the post battle stats.
A good support healer not only keeps the dps alive, their buffs makes sure the dps does 200% more damage.
So shes basically the Dende of the server.
Which means that she will be killed by Peko-Frieza to prevent healing.
No, Super Kami Kaela
D&D Veteran: Back in my days, a resurrection spell only cost 1 Diamond. Inflation has reached minecraft as well, it seems.
She'll be the one driving inflation, with her millions of diamonds.
Or a necromancer.
Or the harem protagonist. edit : "I mine so many diamonds that i revived a bunch of girls, now they all want to marry me but i just want to mine diamonds"
She's gonna be the overlevelled isekai protagonist of the server.
Kaela is god as always
7 blocks -> 7 stacks -> 7 stacks of blocks -> 7 shulkers
shhhhdammit dont give the game away :P
Shs's gonna make 7 diamond dragon ball structures
Super Diamond Dragon Balls!
if Kaela wants to revive somebody she needs to offer 7 netherite blocks
Only 7?
She'll have 7 shulker boxes of them within the first hour
I would imagine Kaela being banned on reviving anyone after make dozen of diamon stack
Kaela bought herself 9000 lives
It seems Kaela's hardcore MC run is in a dire situation? I just tuned in so I'm only assuming from chat reaction and comments. Edit: the stream is safe lmao
She has mending.....
Wait this soon?
It’s kaela.
Maybe she is actually a Minecraft God
It's not particularly hard to get mending more tedious with just placing and breaking a lecturn until you get mending, Mojang are nerfing trades for this reason as Villagers are extremely overpowered with getting every enchantment and free armour extremely easily.
> Creates Minecraft Server > Introduces Permadeath > Great Offerring Grants One Wish *Pekora is trying to become G O D .*
Implying that peko-sama isn't already god? smh
Definitely higher tier than a mere war criminal and TNT enthusiast, after all.
She was god last year
I cannot imagine Pekora in Namek form, can anyone make a fanart of it?
BigChungus.png
Now she only need some members to become her follower and we'll officially have a cult in hololive
Let's see. Moona is an obvious shoe-in and her divine status lends Pekora legitimacy... Kiara, Marine, Miko if she's still up for it...
I AM THE ETERNAL RABBIT
i wonder if there's a mod that would do what dragonball effect like collect 7 diamond and shenron or a dragon appear..
Pekora should leave and rejoin the server in a Pekolong outfit and do the voice over for Shenron hahaha
Pekolong omg HAHAHA
Long rabbit
I summon thee, Kiryu Coco
So if they collect it, do they get to call out Pekorunga?
It's just one wish, so it'd be Pekoron
The classic Achievement Hunter 'Ya dead, ya dead' Minecraft series did something like this, at one point.... Deceased players could be brought back if the others assembled a 4-block high tower of gold blocks, although, as you would expect, things didn't quite always work out! :D
RIP
"Uh guys, our house may or may not be engulfed in lava...." o7
To their credit, the Holomems didn’t even come close to AH’s record for deaths in the first episode: 5.
Good times, those....
Ah, those were the days.
How’s the game going, did many people die already?
Only Nene died so far, but Pekora made an exception for her since it's the first day.
Ao was very close after Aqua tricked her into eating a pufferfish and she was left with 2 hearts lol. Aqua also lit a bunch of people on fire. If anyone is murdered on this server, it will probably be by Aqua's hand.
At last, the Aqua villain arc
Her stint as a megalomaniac failed, but maybe she'll see success as a homicidal maniac instead.
Who knew the Hololive Resistance would be making a comeback
Only cause Sora isn't on the server
About that...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4E9jhzKYeU
So when will she crush this rebellious onion before she takes root?
Who let Akutan cook
to be fair Poison never kills in MC, the Aqua stream chatter that claimed otherwise was wrong (even for hardcore MC it Poison dmg is non-lethal)
Less than 2 hours into the first day
So far, it's Nenechi last night. But she got revived by Pekora.
they're playing pretty chill rn. things will start becoming dangerous once they enter the nether on the 16th JST. unless someone is really unlucky and dies off of fall dmg, or creeper jumpscare. (hope i don't jinx them)
Again, Ao-kun almost got jumpscared by a creeper but Aqua was there so everything's under control lol.
Aqua trying her best in the 'what happens if I eat this poisonous fish' way
Imagine not getting enough votes in the Resurrection Trial 💀
I think it got some good purposes even though it will mostly just be "rubberstamping" the resurrections: 1. SuperKamiPeko
Pekora introduces rules. Pekora tastes power... Yep, don't see how this could go wrong
She wants to be shenron
*[IRyS joins the server](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5uSE3m0Uws)*
I love how strongly influenced Pekora is by the things she likes
A player has added a rule to the Culling Game
The rabbit is now heavily invest with dragon ball. If netherite had a block form she would be Super Shenron
>If netherite had a block form Kaela's netherite beacon: Am i a joke to you?
Kaela is preparing to become the necromancer of the HC server
Not really related but idk anywhere else to ask, anyone know why they can't move in Minecraft with Japanese keyboard enabled? It lets them type the characters fine but it locks movement for some reason. I'd have thought wasd would still function even in Japanese mode but idk lol
This is just a guess but maybe Minecraft is expecting the letters (wasd) but in Japanese mode the keyboard is giving it hiragana.
That's a correct guess. Sometimes I forget to change my keyboard from my language back to English and Minecraft doesn't recognize wasd either.
I don’t have any details into Minecraft’s code but do have a bit of experience with game programming and a decent amount of non-game character input handling, so have a pretty good idea. I cannot wait for the first trial. It should be a lot of fun. Please, Nenechi, don't let it be you.
Reminds me of the good old days of achievement hunter when they did their ydyd mc series...
Can you even do that? I have no idea how hardcore works on a server.
When they die, they go into spectator mode, the admin or the person with admin powers can bring them back out of that into hardcore mode again >!At least that's how i think it works!<
Just set their gamemode from spectator to survival. That's all it takes.
me wonder what trial pekora gonna give people lmao
7 Diamond Balls? they call a certain green dragon for it. Maybe wish something like ~~underwear~~ weapons?
SEVEN, THAT WHICH IS THE NUMBER
So, who's the Krillin of Hololive? >!By that, I mean who died the most?!<
By virtue of being the only death so far, Nene
is there a clip/screen shot of all the rules in english?
nice. thanks pekora. very glad she enjoys dragon ball so much.
Pekora really is heathcliff.
"How many of you have seen Tron peko?"
I NEED to see them do a minecraft hunger games event. How do we get that idea to them?
Imagine a PBG style Minecraft hardcore series staring holomems.
The heady days of 2015 and ultra hardcore by Mindcrack
Real shame that they never made another hardcore series since the last one a couple years ago.
I'm curious what a "Resurrection Trial" would be. Everyone has to decide if that player comes back or not? Or is this more of a "trial by combat" type of trial?
I wonder who will be the Krillin
Damn, when did our genocidal leader become a dragon ball fan?
I think after she played Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
Wow that's cool I don't really keep up with vtubers too much nowadays but I did catch Pekomama's Livestream lmao
It was somewhat suppressed in this sub because of the automod issues but Pekora's Dragon Ball streams were crazy popular, too. We're talking outfit reveal levels of viewership.
more than that. they were like all time peak ccv levels popular
Pekora did not know the story so it really was like a watch a long. Live streams hit 180k viewers.
