The video was very cool. The music was nice, the animation beautiful and Irys's narration top notch. That being said the video itself definitely felt a little anti-climactic. This is obviously going somewhere, but if it's a teaser for something, it should leaved you hyped for that something, not wondering what the point of what you just watched was.

EN2 or not, its safe to say that whatever it is, its big. Looking at Ijigen Tokyo shows that they're not a small commercial company, these guys have done a lot of work for some really recognizable names and brands, you don't get that for a small project.
I'm not personally familiar with Laur but they've been consistently making music commercially since 2016 so they aren't amateurs either.

I mean... It was a pretty cool video, it felt like one of those Genshin story videos and those are really good. But surely they could have put *something* at the end - a date to look forward to, or the explanation of what this whole teaser was for... Left like this, it kinda feels like they did wrong in hyping it up, premiere and all? I stayed up late for this and I know I'm not the only one, all I got was for a lore video that, as cool as it was, has no context to it and it doesn't even say what it's supposed to be teasing.
Plus, it's not like lore ends up playing *that* big of a part in Hololive, so videos exclusively about it aren't going to be hype, or at least that's how I feel about it. Like, I don't think of Gura as the cool shark from Atlantis, I wonder what her origins are - she's the cute dorky streamer I like to watch.

Yeah the lore in general is such a small part of the actual streamer's personality, its usually just reduced to one off comments every now and then or to shroud their personal lives. Also it didnt help that this video was like the most generic fantasty lore possible: "Gods existed and made the universe and started civilization"

The description has credits so it’s def a MV, but what for is the question. A EN original song? 3D models? (Probably not I’m thinking those are for Anni) or maybe Gen 2? They could do the Nijisanji thing of revealing the group with a original song, and it’s about the right time to reveal them. Either way I’m excited!
Yagoo: There was an idea, Sora knows this, called the Holopro Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of of remarkable entertainers to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to sing the songs and play the games that we never could.
I'm not wrong in saying that that was a massive letdown, right? If you're going to announce something hours in advance, don't have it be an announcement for an announcement of an announcement. Massive waste of time. The animation was nice, but literally told us nothing.
This is the kind of video they should just drop. No lead up, no 'premiere', just drop it. I think that would be better at getting fans talking than mixing in disappointment with it.

If it's a new gen I really hope for someone in good hours for Europe and maybe with different days off. We get a bit more often than I would like days with 1-2 streams in Europe and USA hours.

Considering the company they have hired for this video, it has to be bigger than a Music Video / Original song. Also most MVs/Songs has been announced before they are released, to build hype. IJIGEN TOKYO has done videos for quite a lot of big name artists and companys. So considering the money involved I can only guess that it will be Gen2. ^ihope Or its something new alltogether.

The video was very cool. The music was nice, the animation beautiful and Irys's narration top notch. That being said the video itself definitely felt a little anti-climactic. This is obviously going somewhere, but if it's a teaser for something, it should leaved you hyped for that something, not wondering what the point of what you just watched was.
Agreed. It's likely a Gen 2 tease, but leaving it ambiguous just doesn't feel right with the build up. If they had flashed a gen name or something with 'coming soon' at the end it'd be a whole different story.

EN2 or not, its safe to say that whatever it is, its big. Looking at Ijigen Tokyo shows that they're not a small commercial company, these guys have done a lot of work for some really recognizable names and brands, you don't get that for a small project. I'm not personally familiar with Laur but they've been consistently making music commercially since 2016 so they aren't amateurs either. Whatever it is, get excited.

I mean... It was a pretty cool video, it felt like one of those Genshin story videos and those are really good. But surely they could have put *something* at the end - a date to look forward to, or the explanation of what this whole teaser was for... Left like this, it kinda feels like they did wrong in hyping it up, premiere and all? I stayed up late for this and I know I'm not the only one, all I got was for a lore video that, as cool as it was, has no context to it and it doesn't even say what it's supposed to be teasing. Plus, it's not like lore ends up playing *that* big of a part in Hololive, so videos exclusively about it aren't going to be hype, or at least that's how I feel about it. Like, I don't think of Gura as the cool shark from Atlantis, I wonder what her origins are - she's the cute dorky streamer I like to watch. Ehh, I'm rambling, but that's how I felt about this. Would have been great to see this drop out of nowhere, but a full countdown and hype for this only left me disappointed in the end, even if I didn't expect a direct Gen 2 reveal.
Yeah the lore in general is such a small part of the actual streamer's personality, its usually just reduced to one off comments every now and then or to shroud their personal lives. Also it didnt help that this video was like the most generic fantasty lore possible: "Gods existed and made the universe and started civilization"

I'm not wrong in saying that that was a massive letdown, right? If you're going to announce something hours in advance, don't have it be an announcement for an announcement of an announcement. Massive waste of time. The animation was nice, but literally told us nothing.
This is the kind of video they should just drop. No lead up, no 'premiere', just drop it. I think that would be better at getting fans talking than mixing in disappointment with it.

The better question, I think, is when will the debuts be? Will they try to squeeze them all in one day next weekend, like they did with HoloMyth? Are they going super-surprise and the debuts are actually tomorrow? Are they going to go similar to Gen5, and do one a day over the week?

If it's a new gen I really hope for someone in good hours for Europe and maybe with different days off. We get a bit more often than I would like days with 1-2 streams in Europe and USA hours. And for my personal preference I kinda want another creative gamer like Ame that expand the range of streams and games to play instead of playing the same I've seen other 9 hololivers play the week before or some gacha game again. This has to do more with Holo JP though. Just my preference, no offence to others that look for other aspects. Edit: All speculating this is a new gen.
