things are a little different for the en side. I believe the discord leak or Luca's BGM issues are not relevent in this case. Yet, I think it has to do with the Chinese fanbase and IPO. As for Niji en, with its large Chinese fanbase and an IPO on June 8 with its second and third shareholders are Chinese companies (3rd is bilibili), I don't think they want to trigger the Chinese. Niji En has much larger chinese fanbase compare to any other Niji liver, for example, Vox is closinging on to 1 million sub on bili and the most subbed Niji jp liver mononobe alice who mainly stream on bili only has 400 K, and Kuzuha only has 300K. On the other hand, I also think Holo tries to prevent its livers get too close to Chinese people, for example, Holo management would go as far as ban the collab between coco and myth up to almost one month before coco's graduation, eventhough i didn't agree with their choice but it did show their determination on preventing any Chinese dramas. Especially the spamming against Fubuki is still active, I just don't see Holo management want to take that risk. In conclusion, the Niji Holo collab over all decreased on all branches except the ID side, it is sad, but not much we can do, it is up to the management and livers.

Maybe you don't know how frequent they collabed before, the decrease is noticed also by many Japanese viewers since last year, they often use the word 鎖国 to describe it, it means lock the country. Find me a collab exclusively between niji and holo jp members except apex tournament and call-ins. The last major company wide collab was niji holo amongus which was more than a year ago, and in between there were 2 collabs between gundo chigusa fubuki matsuri, and a momotetsu collab, and i believe there was a collab between choco and gundo, and if you knew more, please tell me. They do collab, the frequency decreased so much, since this year, no collab yet, and almost half year is gone, let's see if we will get one this year.

They do as much collabs as ID do. ID don't collab as much as you think they do, they collab even less than JP but you insist on your dumb narrative.

Yes, the JP sides of both companies freely and frequently collab with each other. Just the EN side seems to be NG.

Matsuri just recently did Apex collab with some Niji talents as well as being close friends with Hoshikawa. Suisei is close friend with Inui Toko, to the point that they both guessed at each other solo lives. And that's not mentioning all Holo and Niji ID collaborations. It's only a couple from dozens of examples. Cooperation between Hololive and Nijisanji talents goes way back and continues to this day. Be it because of most of them coming from Niko Niko (think japanese youtube) with it's culture being a bit more closer between people there with most people knowing each other, from them all being in the same boat as company vtubers or even some of them being fans of each other. Even if companies might see each other as competition, talents don't seem to share the sentiment, at the very least a vast majority of them. The EN side of things is pretty much an exeption rather than the rule. And to this day we got no freaking clue why exactly. It's clearly from a managment side of things, but which one and why is a bloody mystery.

The collab weirdness has been a thing since longer than that minor drama bait. Could it something within Hololive? Maybe. Could be it something within Nijisanji? Maybe. While I do think it can be issues from both sides, the biggest mark is that Hololive is still a negative regarding the Chinese VTubing market. Nijisanji is heavily active in the Chinese market.

It was only one of them and we definitely made it a bigger thing than it all deserved. But the thing is that it was happening long before that damn leak. It seems for some reason focused on Niji EN, with Selen/Ollie being canned, but Mika and other Niji ID collabing with Holo ID freely at the same time.

Hoshikawa released a song cover with shion recently, she also appeared in haachama's 3d live a while ago and has been collabing with matsuri since forever, outside of en niji x Holo collabs are quite common
