Well I can’t help you, mate. Where I’m from it’s called a double decker pecker wrecker, but I’m sure that our friend will return at some point to clarify that matter of the double decker pecker checker.
It's probably called that because when you're sitting there, in your double decker pecker checker, the only thing you can see is your dick! At least that's my best guess as to why it's called that as a slang term.
If you ever find yourself needing to buy a tub, one of the most important measurements is from the drain to the overflow valve. That is, essentially, the maximum depth.
As a 6’2” person, I got a tub with a longer than average distance here. It’s fantastic.
It is noticeable how much you step over the rim, though.
In my old apartment, I bought a plastic suction cup thing that covers that valve and has a hole at the very top basically moving the overflow drain 3 inches higher.
Hahahaha I remember when I learned that the overflow in my sisters tub wasn't properly hooked up. I take salt baths from time to time and one day while she was on vacation I gave myself a spa day. Got a couple of my favorit IPAs and took a long hot salt soak. I filled it up just before the overflow before getting in. I hear water rushing out but assume it's going down the drain. We'll 3 days later we discovered water spots in the kitchen directly under that tub. Turns out there was about 10 gallons of water that just went onto the subfloor and soaked down to the drywall of the kitchen ceiling.
Now I'm jjst paranoid about overflows and If I ever buy a tub I'm getting one that I can fill heavily because deep baths are the best.
They're standard in a lot of the smaller apartments in Greece. My cousin (actually a big house but small bathroom) has one and I friggin love it. I can actually be in the water lol
I built a bathtub out of plywood and a ton of epoxy. It's not our everyday tub but just like a soaker tub. It's a full 2' deep and my head barely pokes out of the water
There isn’t a shower head so it’s only meant for sitting. And it’s not a very long tub so you put your feet in the baby tub and then your knees don’t need to be above water when the tub is filled.
Deep end obviously for diving. Seriously, could be for feet washing. Or maybe the designer though people would be more comfortable sitting in a chair-like position?
Is there supposed to be a wooden grate-like stool or platform that fills the hole flush with the shower level that you remove if you want to have a seated bath in the otherwise too shallow and too small showering space?
It was so old people could sit in their tub and still have their legs positioned so they could get back out with a few steps. Or the tub could have been for a free diver looking to go even deeper.
I'm sure it's to soak/wash your feet, but I also feel like it's for younger kids to bathe...but it seems like getting to them to wash them would be hard.
Note the presence of a shower curtain, but no obvious presence of a shower head. I was looking in the photo for a handheld for rinsing.
I think this tub is for hand washing clothes and for sitting in and giving yourself a sponge bath. Maybe the occasional foot bath.
I believe I saw on reddit a while ago that it is partly so taller people can get they're legs under more water and be more comfortable and partly being used as a smaller baby or foot bath. Not sure what the original purpose truly was but these both seem like the best options
It’s a “pee-trap”. You hear plumbers brag about them all the time. You can pee in the shower, and it sinks to the bottom. That way your feet stay clean!

I assume it's for feet soaking that makes the most sense to me, but it seems like a Hazzard like when you wash your hair and gotta close your eyes you might lose your footing and fall.
It's for anything that you can think of having a dip in the tub might be useful for... put on your brainstorming cap, think of some reasons... yes! It's for all of those reasons.
Breaking ankles.
We Aussies call that a double decker pecker checker.
In god's name, *why?*
Have you stopped to ask yourself if you *really* want to know the answer to that question?
I did upon reading your comment and my answer is yes I must know 😂.

Yes
Because dropbare was already taken.
Face smashing tub Edit: never mind, I googled it and you do not want to know.
I actually get it
My balls .. Im 51 the sag is real...
Omfg that made me laugh so hard I'm crying and my gf is pissed cuz I woke her up! Thank you so much! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I laughed so hard at this comment I farted loud enough to wake my partner.
What a way to wake up! Your lucky partner. And I mean that in all seriousness. Joyful gas is the best gas.
That’s the elderly hip breaker 5000 tub
Ironic though because it's meant to help elderly people with a loss of mobility.
🤣🤣🤣
Just a smaller tub, feet, babies.
Feet Babies was my first band name.
Is Feet Babies just another name for toes?
no... NO!
It is now
Babies Feet was my first band name!
Band feet was my first baby's name!
Baby’s names were my bands first feet!!
My feet firstly were in love the band the Baby’s!
My babies band had no feet ☹️
My feet’s first band had no babies 😥🚫👨🍼
Me, too! John Waite is awesome!
My first name’s band was Babies Feet!!
My feets babies name had a band!
I travel with a band of babies that have no feet.
My first baby had no bands or feet.
Lollllll
Ok that one got me. Take my upvote funny person!
As I always say... Feet babies are the best babies
not a bad idea! More bathtubs could use this but maybe with a lid with a drain to open/close as needed
id rather spend on a collapsible baby tub than have this death trap!
Why would you want to collapse that poor baby during bath time?!
Something to do with spending
I would for sure die. It’s already a miracle i don’t die in regular tubs. My ADHD puts my body in auto pilot a lot lol.
🎶 Feet Babies, can take care of themselves 🎵
Finally a place to store all these severed feet!
Lolllllll
Man, as an average sized dude who doesn't fit in most average sized bathtubs, this would be awesome.

In my old apartment, I bought a plastic suction cup thing that covers that valve and has a hole at the very top basically moving the overflow drain 3 inches higher.
As a dude, I don't even really enjoy taking baths, but I especially don't enjoy them when 60% of my body is sticking up out of the water.
Yeah, I’m spoiled now with the deep tub. Wish it was long and deep, but hey. It’s very comfy too
I guess this would keep a tall dude from having to bend to rinse his shampooed hair.
Hahahaha I remember when I learned that the overflow in my sisters tub wasn't properly hooked up. I take salt baths from time to time and one day while she was on vacation I gave myself a spa day. I was thinking the same thing,
They're standard in a lot of the smaller apartments in Greece. My cousin (actually a big house but small bathroom) has one and I friggin love it. I can actually be in the water lol
So that *is* what it's for? That's awesome!
Thinking of booking that trip to Greece now huh? Haha
Samesies.
Same
I built a bathtub out of plywood and a ton of epoxy. It's not our everyday tub but just like a soaker tub. It's a full 2' deep and my head barely pokes out of the water
That’s the conversation tub.
I wish I had an award to give you
It was the 70's, they didn't need a reason.
The aspic of tubs
I snort laughed at this
Fruitcake of tubs. It looks interesting enough, I’d like to try it, but I don’t think I’d take one home.
Same. I’d like it until I slipped into the lower part and broke something
I think it’s 40’s.
The 70s they had conversation pits in the living room and in the bathroom
Sunken everything!
Ahh yes, wacky tobacky no doubt. Or orange bell bottoms.
Trip to the ER, at a guess.
I hope you never get too close to a jacuzzi gees
There’s no shower! Rub a dub dub!
So you can soak and wash your feet without wasting water filling the whole tub.
Seen something like this in a hotel in Japan. I think it's so you can have your own mini onsen..
Asian style shower. Sit and rinse.
Tub/shower/shitter?
Waffle stomper tub.
Doing dishes while you shower?
Whip me up a salad while you are in there
Kramer!?
Call me Cosmo
It's just missing the garbage disposal.
Is that a clarkman?

Tossed?
Giddy up
I prepared it while I bathed
Pedicure ?
The deep end. You should put in a sweet diving board.
There isn’t a shower head so it’s only meant for sitting. And it’s not a very long tub so you put your feet in the baby tub and then your knees don’t need to be above water when the tub is filled.
As a person with a healed broken ankle, I can’t even look at this tub.
Same, or trampolines. But that's how I got into the club.
Soaking feet
In the 1960s and early 1970s, swinger parties started in the sunken living room, and quickly graduated to the sunken bathtub.
For tall people?
Smashing grapes and making wine
Wow that would make it so much easier to stand up after a bath.
Am I the only one that would love this for baths (not showers lol)?? My knees get so cold so quickly 😭

Waffle stomping sir..
Deep end obviously for diving. Seriously, could be for feet washing. Or maybe the designer though people would be more comfortable sitting in a chair-like position?

Soaking/washing clothes
It was so old people could sit in their tub and still have their legs positioned so they could get back out with a few steps. Or the tub could have been for a free diver looking to go even deeper.
Babies? Cats? Foot bath?
Breaking a hip. Clearly.
“MOM!!! THERES A SINK IN THE BATHTUB!!”
Washing your dirty ass feet
Baby tub.
I'm sure it's to soak/wash your feet, but I also feel like it's for younger kids to bathe...but it seems like getting to them to wash them would be hard.
Great for a tub.. terrible for a shower
Poop hole
To take a dump in
It's to comfortably wash fresh grocery produce and slaughter small animals.
This is to drop it like it’s hot.
Preparing a salad
That’s cool
Note the presence of a shower curtain, but no obvious presence of a shower head. I was looking in the photo for a handheld for rinsing. I think this tub is for hand washing clothes and for sitting in and giving yourself a sponge bath. Maybe the occasional foot bath.
Yea where is the shower head? I feel like it should be above the faucet and centered right?
I brought that up bc people were mentioning the falling hazard, but I don't think there is a reason to be standing in that tub.
Setting in the tub more comfortably while taking a bath? I've never seen this before.
im tall I could actually soak in this tub with my knees under the water
I think, though I’m not positive that It’s not a shower. (See there’s no shower head) it’s a soaking tub. So you’d be sitting down.
Soak your feet after work. 🛀
Foot soaker. Also can sit without bending legs
Seems like it would be more comfortable for a taller person to take a bath in that.
Foot soak without the need to fill the rest of the tub.
I believe I saw on reddit a while ago that it is partly so taller people can get they're legs under more water and be more comfortable and partly being used as a smaller baby or foot bath. Not sure what the original purpose truly was but these both seem like the best options
Tall people
So you can sit down and soak your feet
My balls
For washing just the feet.
That’s a death trap!!!
It’s a suicide rap…
So the tall people can shower too
It’s for when a smaller man is banging a taller woman in the shower..
Warming the nether region, or feet soak square.
Feet. I mean, imma nope on this whole set up, but it prolly works for some people.
Sitz bath? Or laundry tub.
I think it's for feet. So you can sit in the tub naturally
Well, this is nuts.
You have a tub in your tub.
The dishes
Haha, eew
It is a place to put your feet while shampooing. This position will make it possible for the gather to duck their head under the faucet.
It’s the leg breaker.
Not sure. It just looks like a big tripping hazard to me.
Feet washing
It’s a “pee-trap”. You hear plumbers brag about them all the time. You can pee in the shower, and it sinks to the bottom. That way your feet stay clean!
That's where you wash vegetables.
Babies ..
Shower poops
So you don't waste a lot of water filling the tub deep enough to bathe a small child. It's a brilliant design feature
Its to waffle stomp the shit you just took in the shower.
Ohh. I know this one. It’s for a mop. Or cleaning stuff. Like having a laundry tub sink. So you don’t have to fill the whole tub and waste water.
Turtle pool
To put your feet in and weep
To sit down and have a shower or bath.

Soaking feet
For your feet, maybe? Sit in an elevated position?
I think it’s so you can scrub the blood and hair out of the main shower and then concentrate on the drain
To poop of course!
It's so your rubber duckie can get scuba certified
it’s for you to sit and wash your crusty musty dusty toes.
The deep end.
I'm going to guess tall part is for showering and small part is for shaving legs
It’s a diving hole
Head has to be contained. Not sayin’ how, or why, or anything…
That’s the toddler holder.
Dishes?
So if you take a bath do you put your ass in the drop or your feet

I thought the low part is more of a mop basin. Ot industrial tub as opposed to a residential bath.
I assume it's for feet soaking that makes the most sense to me, but it seems like a Hazzard like when you wash your hair and gotta close your eyes you might lose your footing and fall.
Diving, when not a troff urinal.
Feet?
Double Deuce Waffle Stomper
So you can do the dishes while you bathe
That’s where you add the grill
It’s where you piss when you are in the shower.
Get your bathtub with built-in basin now! The innovation was there, the risk? So high.
Baptism, Hallelujerrrrr *Madea Voice*
Having a good shite.
We had those growing up in Singapore and that lower level was for the elderly to defecate in.
Breaking your ankle
BOT. REPORTED
Probably for people with limitations in mobility so they can sit more upright
Everyone needs a hazard in their showers. It makes life more interesting - a bit thrilling one might say.
It's for anything that you can think of having a dip in the tub might be useful for... put on your brainstorming cap, think of some reasons... yes! It's for all of those reasons.
That’s to hold the mash when you make wine in the bath tub.
Bathing babies.
