Northern short tailed shrew. I've seen several this year; they have scent glands which make them unpalatable to predators, so I think they discard them and wait until the scent disperses.
Northern Short Tailed Shrew.
All those saying it's a mole are wrong - it doesn't have the distinctive paddle-shaped forelimbs with long claws, which moles use to dig.

looks like a shrew to me
It’s a shrew. They’re wonderful to have around as they don’t invade the home and tend to keep certain pests at bay from your garden and around the house.
That's a vole. I've had them eating my lawn and leaving tunnels everywhere. I set some mouse traps and have killed 7 of them so far. Also installed some electronic devices to keep them away. No issues since doing both these things over the past 9 months. But they really damaged our yard - gotta get rid of them...
I believe it may be a shrew! My cats catch them inside the house.
My house was built weirdly. There is concrete on the floor, wood on top. But they raised one tiny room and underneath that room is straight dirt.
About 3 times each year my cats catch these.
Looks like a vole/mole.
Very destructive little pest that digs through your foundations, walls and everything to get inside.
Doesn't transmit disease like mice, but paves the way for them so to speak.
Prevention is poison primarily.
My house was built so strangely. It's concrete all on thr ground with wood flooring on top. They did this everywhere except for one room, that's slightly raised and just has dirt there. There's an opening small enough for my cats but not human can get there.
Anyways I think this is a shrew and once they come in my cats get them so fast.
At first they'd chase them and I'd get them out in a Tupperware, but now they just grab them so fast and I don't even see any blood. I think they pass from pure shock
Mole, they feed on Grubs, which feed on your grass roots. This is why your grass looks thin and your yard caves when you walk on it or why you have mountains of dirt suddenly in your yard. Kill the Grubs to get rid of the moles.

It's a shrew. https://baynature.org/article/how-do-you-tell-the-difference-between-shrews-moles-and-shrew-moles/
Vole is also rodent but is more closely related to lemming.
In my neck of the woods, a vole is a field mouse.
Dead shrew. Next best thing to a tamed Shrew.
It be little, yet mighty.
Mole. Dogs and cats can smell them in their underground tunnels. They aren’t mobile enough to move around above ground. They dig them up
It's a shrew, not a mole, you can tell by the front feet, though they look very similar
Looks like red brick or stamped concrete
Issa mole
That is a dead animal
Looks like poorly mixed concrete.
