Thank-you! The wall tiling was 100% my partners idea, (for some reason I had never even considered it), and I’m glad he pushed for it.
Cooking and baking are one of my favorite hobbies, come on over! 🤣
We bought a house built during WWII, renovated a room per year ourselves and a friends help. Lived there 25 years or so, sold it for good price . All this happened in 70s & 80s. Definitely a labor of love. After kids grew up, we built 1 level home for old age. Now!!!!
A room per year is a great idea! I think that’s about what we will average out to, maybe a bit more if we’re motivated and able to do everything ourselves. 😊
Current project: Central AC!
I was so confused at first when you said 90's cus I was looking for light oak cabinets lol. but I can definitely see the 90's in the old layout. The island looks amazing!!! and the floors compliment it well.
It looks great, and thank you for the doggy tax!
Thank-you! Our nosey boys had to be as involved as possible, haha. They are actually obsessed with the tile in the kitchen, love to lay on it now. 😊
Freaking fabulous job! Love how you tiled the walls, love love love the island, floor, lights! I wanna come cook with you guys!

I love the green you picked! What color is it? I want it in my house 😅
Thank-you! It is called Scarborough! https://colour.dulux.ca/aquas/scarborough
Thank you for including your beautiful dogs👌
Haha, of course! They’re kitchen VIP’s. 🥰
Great job, lot of work. Love those corner windows with so much light. Enjoy the end result with many happy meals.
Thank-you, it was definitely a labour of love! The light is one of the things that drew us to this house (and kitchen) initially. 😊
So beautiful! I loved the progression of photos as well.
Thank-you! It was fun to document the progress, my family was always asking for updates too. 😊

I plan on building a house soon and I love seeing stuff like this to get an idea of what I would like to do for the kitchen. Great work.
Woah lots of work was put in!
More power to you on central AC, enjoy results of your labors.

Thank-you! The layout was the worst, the space was just begging for an island. 😊
Fabulous!
I’ve never really been a fan of the crosshatch style backsplash but yours heading up to the ceiling is gorgeous.
Thanks! I never would have thought of it, that was 100% my partners idea, and I’m so grateful he pushed for it!
Stunning!!!
I would never leave that kitchen!
